1,000-lb Capacity. Upgrade your vehicle's rear coil spring suspension with this kit. Molded polyurethane air springs fit inside your existing coil springs for added support when hauling heavy loads. Improves handling, braking, and overall ride.

Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires, headlight aim and handling suffer as well. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.
Air Lift's AirLift 1000 adjustable air springs have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. AirLift 1000 is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.
AirLift 1000 comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.
Air Lift is positive that you will benefit from their air spring suspension system - so much so that they offer a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Install and use AirLift 1000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund.

1,000-lb Capacity. Upgrade your vehicle's rear coil spring suspension with this kit. Molded polyurethane air springs fit inside your existing coil springs for added support when hauling heavy loads. Improves handling, braking, and overall ride.I added this kit to my 2005 Chevy Tahoe Z71 last year (2023). This kit was exactly what I needed to compliment my already installed, upgraded Bilstein shocks to help me tow a Camaro on a car hauler trailer from Colorado to Florida. I kept the bags inflated to 30-35psi the entire trip. I experienced no bag leakage, sag, sway, or bounce while towing. After the haul to Florida, I have kept the bags/kit in place with the bags regularly kept at 5-10psi. This has stiffened up the rear end nicely (not too much) as a daily driver hauling kids, sports equipment, tools, etc. without any issues. Intial install took about 2 hours as the most difficult part was feeding each bag through/inside the rear coil springs and making sure of no pinch points on the bags. I would recommend this kit as the materials, instructions and support from etrailer with videos, pics, and reviews (if needed), are top notch! Thank you etrailer!
Put these on 07 tahoe. I pull a camper and put 400lbs of tools in back of tahoe. With just the tools I noticed it help put more weight on front wheels. I have not pulled camper yet but with just the minimum 5lbs of pressure it helped with the tools.
It took me about 4 hrs to install by myself on the ground. The hardest part was getting it pushed into the coil springs. I ended up using a ratchet strap to help push it in. It was fun trying to get the hose connected afterward, could not see, had to feel and take a picture to make sure it was fully seated.
My vehicle is a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Installation of the Air Helper Springs was fairly simple. Getting them inside the factory springs is a bit of a bitch, but doable. The ride while pulling my travel trailer was bouncy at 15psi. Not what I was going for. Unloaded, I kept 5psi in the helper springs and it was fine.
I developed a clunking in the rear end about 8 months after installation. I discovered that the lower bolts on my shocks were loose. I'm assuming that the decreased load on the shocks allowed play in the frame mount and therefore allowed the bolt to loosen. Easy fix, but something to be aware of. Overall, the air helpers work, but next purchase I'll be going for a system with its own air compressor.
Don't know why I waited this long. When the vehicle is overloaded for vacation and we are towing a boat, this makes everything right!
Pretty easy to install. I had to get a little creative with some tools to make it fit. It definitely helped with improving the rear end on my Yukon xl.
All was good except for the small clamps. 3 of them broke as I was trying to install them.
They are great for assisting the load on my suburban, but need to be inflated before doing so, especially with a heavy load. I plan on going with airbags mounted on the axle when these wear out.
Very pleased with this product! Install took longer than one hour but I go slow and steady anyway, I just watched the retailer install video and it was easy! My 2004 Suburban sagged badly with our travel trailer and this fixed the sag. The rear well sat at 36.5" with no air and sagged down to 34.5" with the trailer attached. The rear well sat at 37.75" with air bags filled and sagged only to 36.5" with trailer attached. I haven't got a chance to road test but I have confidence in the product from my measurement test!
They quick
These are great. Installed them on my 2005 yukon. I pull a 20ft Stratos and the yukon tagged 3 1/4 inches . Now, at 23 psi, NO SAG and it rides alot smoother! Install took an hour. Hardest part was slipping the bags into the springs. I'll buy these for my next tow vehicle.
The Air Lift 1000 was easier than I thought it would be to install . My H2 Hummer sits even now with my 20' in-closed car hauler in tow. I only had to add 15 lbs of air . When not hauling I lower the air to 5 lbs. Love this system .

Great improvement to my ride height when towing my 22 foot toy hauler. Really help stabilize the rear of the H2 Hummer.
Great product, installed yesterday and what a difference these make both daily driving and towing. Love them. Thank you very much!
These work great for hauling that extra weight and still being able to air them back down for a soft ride.
I first realized that I needed some help leveling my 2006 Yukon XL right after I hooked my 2 place trailer to the vechile. My previous Yukon had self leveling rear shocks, the 2006 did not come w/ that option. I mounted the compressor on the top of the passenger side wheel well, (there is plenty of room there, & away from engine heat) I mounted the pump & dump switchs , & the pressure gage on a piece of kydex that I cut to fit in the little cubby that is below the heat/ac controls. The hardest part was getting the lift "bags" into the coil spring tower, time & patience. The install looks factory, & works great to level the vechile while towing. Great product!
I had a similar AirLift system installed on a Trailblazer close to 10 years ago, and that system is still functional. I bought this part number to install on a Suburban a year ago. It was a little challenging to fit the air bags into the coil springs, but it worked. The installation was very clean installing the Schrader valve behind the gas cap door. The system made a big improvement on leveling the Suburban towing with 600-800 lbs tongue weight.
To be completely honest I was not too happy with the AirLift 1000. After installation I used them for one trip with a load and one side burst on the highway. Having said this I wasn't satisfied with how they worked.
I never claimed any warranty or contacted anyone because I really didn't have the time to reach out to anyone. I was looking for the pictures that I took back in March/April of 2016 but I have been unable to locate them. If I do locate them I will send them to you. Please note I have discarded the bags but what I can tell you is the one that burst was split at the seam and the pressure was per the manual.
I installed these on my 2004 Burb Z71. It was much easier than I had thought it would be. After jacking it up, putting it on stands and lowering the axle back down, there was a huge gap in the springs for the air bags to pass through. The hardest part was attaching the air hose to the top of the bags after they were inside of the spring. The package included a heat shield for the exhaust pipe which I quickly threw away. There is a good 5 inches between the pipe and the spring. Routing the air hose back to the bumper was easy and I located the air valve in the plate that has the trailer wire hookups. I hope they work as advertised, I hate the back of my Burb sagging when I poll my camper.
Air lift kit was easy to install on 2012 Chevy Avalanche and provided the needed lift to correct tail sag that occurred when towing boat/trailer.
After 1 one of use the kit has exceeded my expectation. Chevy should have provided as a factory mounted option.
Quick delivery, and exactly what I expected. The only tip I can offer - my installation had the air connection oriented on the top. The first bag I installed the bag and then connected the air line. Feeding the air line down through the coil spring and attaching to the air bag, and then feeding the air bag (collapsed, and held by zip ties) into the spring was much easier.
The bags took the slight wallowing out of my Avalanche when pulling my enclosed 2-place sled trailer down the road! The best bang for the buck I've found for my truck yet.
The air lift bags I purchase from etrailer have been great for towing my camper with my 2008 Tahoe made a big difference in handling and the ride height for towing my travel trailer
First about etrailer: Great retailer and product educator. Everyone there is a pro and top notch! Joshua really came through for me! Now the product: Let me say that you would be wise to "Measure the coil spring first". My 2007 Burb had the coil springs replaced and I am fairly sure they are more narrow than the factory versions. The air bag did not expand as well in the confines of this coil as it seems to in other customer pictures, yet it seems to work. I only need this for one trip, therefore it is acceptable. Second suggestion, have a helping hand around. Thirdly, my father always said "right tool for the right job". A shop with a lift, impact wrenches, and a working knowledge of springs installation would be worth the $100 install cost. In closing, solid product sold by a great company. End user was the main issue.
This product is great. The directions were simple to follow. Put it on my Yukon for extra support while towing. Even when not towing a little air in the bags has great suspension support as well!
For a guys who never really works on cars I found installing the air lift system rather simple.
We have a GMC Yukon that we use to pull a 7000lb boat. The car is rated for 8500 so we are close to capacity. Adding the airlift has absolutely stabilized the vehicle. Great addition to help with towing stability.
I’ve ordered from etrailer several times never been happier with customer service and fast shipping.
Works well. Fairly easy to install. My only complaint is that the fasteners for the schrader valve rusted quickly and don't look good. Wish they were stainless.

The air lift suspension kit has worked perfectly. The assist that it gives makes towing our camper much more tolerable.
