  • Load-leveling capacity: up to 5,000 lbs

Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 was designed with an exact purpose: to provide full-time, first-class support to your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with hauling massive loads.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.

LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.

This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. And if your truck has a 5th wheel hitch installed, you can use the included self-drilling screws instead of the u-bolts to install the air spring kit. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).

Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado

Purchased for my 2019 Silverado 3500HD. I've not had long-term use of it yet, but based on other reviews I anticipate everything will function well for many miles to come.
One thing I wish was included in the package from the manufacturer was the Air Lift Union Tee #21838 which I ended up purchasing separatly. The included air line is fitted with an air valve at each end, requiring you to fill the springs individually. For my use, I wanted a single shared line so the springs remain equal, especially in the event of a leak. I recommend the Air Line brand fitting as I first tried a knockoff version since it was more quickly available, but the entire 5-pack leaked around the o-rings so I had even more downtime (do it right the first time...).
I also have a B&W gooseneck wheel hitch and the instructions call for drilling into the frame and using the self-tapping screws to mount the top plate. I was able to use the U-bolts over my hitch bracket at the rear of the plate, but still had to drill into the frame for the front due to the hitch brackets being higher than the frame rail. It's an awkward angle without having lift access, but still very doable - just a tight fit drilling next to the fuel tank.
Overall, a great solution to improving towing.

I have a 2011 GMC 2500 HD. Installation was fairly easy; must have patience. Instructions indicated could not use U bolts with fifth wheel hitch. In my case, I found with a little finesse I was able to install the U bolts just fine without having to drill holes in the frame. I have a Reese fifth wheel hitch. So far after pulling my trailer one time it works great.

2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

This is wonderful. Has performed perfectly. I see no need for auto leveling or an onboard air compressor for my use. Just put some in when I’m hauling heavy. I will say the Silverado parking brake relocation bracket could use some more engineering. I had a hell of a time getting the bolt in.

  • Air Bag Suspension Kit Recommendation for 2011 Chevy Silverado 3500 with 5th Wheel Rail Kit
The Air Lift suspension kit part # AL57338 that you referenced normally does not require drilling but if there are a set of fifth wheel rails present that have brackets that run along the frame rail where this kit installs there will be drilling required for install. For a no-drill fit air bag kit for your application instead the Firestone kit part # F2709 would be what you'd need.

The best way to reduce the bouncing you are experiencing in your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57338 is by changing out the air springs. By installing 2 of the Replacement Air Springs # AL84297 with the internal jounce bumper this will reduce the bouncing. • Replacement Air Lift 5813 Air Spring And Mounting Bracket Availability
Hi Turner, Air Lift and Firestone have moved towards no longer offering replacement parts since there tends to be more confusion and issues when trying to swap out parts. These parts separately also ended up costing more than a completely new kit and wouldn't come with a warranty like the kit would so you'll most likely be looking at needing an entirely new kit. We no longer offer the exact replacement parts you need but there still might be a shop that has some on hand to work through....

According to my technical contact at Airlift the kit that you have, # AL57338, on your 2013 Chevy 2500 4 by 4 Short Bed Crew Cab Truck can be used without the upper u-bolts that wrap around the frame. To determine the correct spacers in for your GMC Sierra with a 4-1/2" lift and Air Lift 5000 Air Helper Springs such as # AL57338 you wll need to do a bit of measuring. There is a diagram I added from Air Lift what you will need to measure to ensure the correct spacer kit. You will need to measure the total distance between the mounting surfaces, and subtract that by 5-1/2", which is "A", the air spring design height for these air bags. That will give you the correct lift spacer, which...

The air bags I recommend for a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 are the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2596. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs over the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338 because the air bags are more durable since they use a crimp rolled design instead of a band clamp (see photo) and there are typically fewer components therefore easier to install. All of the air spring kits for the 2011 Ford F-250 mount to the sides of the truck frame rails. The issue is that the B&W gooseneck hitch brackets also install in the same location but on the outsides of the frame rails. This would not be a problem if the B&W brackets holes in them to match the frame holes located directly above the axle. • How to Determine How Much Air Pressure is Needed with Suspension Enhancement Towing Trailer
Determining the correct amount of air pressure you should put in bags like the Air Lift kit part # AL57338 isn't an exact science but the goal is to provide the support you need while balancing ride quality as too much pressure makes the ride quality pretty rough. The best way we've found is to inflate the bags to the point where the rear suspension sits very near level like it was without the weight of a trailer. I'd also recommend experimenting with raising and lower the pressure till...

In regards to the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338, you can use these with the B&W Turnoverball no problem but you will need to drill into the bottom of the frame to attach the upper bracket as opposed to using the u-bolts that clamp around the frame. If you wire it up to the upfitter switch I recommend using an analog compressor system that is more set up for that type of switch such as # AL25592. It is not uncommon to have a leak at the swivel fitting on your Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Springs # AL57338. It usually has to do with the hose not being cut cleanly. I've attached the portion of the installation instructions that deals directly with fixing this leak. My recommendation is to use the Air Lift Air Hose Cutter # AL10530 to ensure a clean cut on the hose.
