Thoroughly Tested for Safety

This hub-and-drum assembly meets the requirements for certification by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA). The CSA creates standards, which when complied with ensure a safe and quality product. This assembly underwent extensive testing to measure stopping distances when braking. This assembly has also been tested by QAI for braking performance in a complete automotive setup and under real-world conditions to provide the most realistic scenario for the everyday driver.

E-Z Lube and Easy Grease-Compatible Assembly for Simple Lubrication

The grease cap on this hub-and-drum assembly is specially designed to work with your Dexter E-Z Lube or etrailer Easy Grease axle to make lubricating bearings quick and easy. Just remove the plug on the grease cap, attach a grease gun to the zerk fitting on the end of the spindle, and inject the grease. It will flow easily to both inner and outer bearings. Not only does this make lubricating the bearings easy, but it also helps to prevent corrosion of the hub. This is because you can lubricate the bearings without the mess of taking apart the entire assembly.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Purchased a used 2016 Keystone Hideout Trailer and wanted to be sure it was safe going down the road. These four assemblies were clean, packaged well and fit as expected. We will be headed out to campsite next month and will update this review ONLY if their is a discrepancy, otherwise, we are very satisfied with our etrailer purchase.

So far so good. Will be adjusting them at the end of the season.

VERY happy with this hub: an exact OEM match. I am leaving on a 6,300 mile U.S. Coast to Coast (and back) trip, and was going to purchase a set of wheel bearings, races, dust caps, etc. THEN realized that for just $[XX] more, I could buy an entire new hub -bearings installed AND pre-greased- to take with me. IF I have the misfortune of a wheel bearing failing, I now will not have to replace a bearing along the highway, just swap the hub out. Customer service was THE BESST EVER from moment of order through receiving my product. etrailer is DEFINITELY my "go-to" source for all things Trailer :-)/

Wow, coast to coast AND back? That sounds like quite the adventure! How long will it take you to do that?

by:

This product fit our axle like a dream. Since we bought our trailer, this was the first ever service to one of our hub/bearing/breaks systems and it could not have gone smoother. The kit was pre-greased more than expected and everything fit perfectly. So long as we keep the same trailer for a while longer, I will be purchasing three more to replace the others. Thank you eTrailer!

by:

Hubs matched to my original Dexter hubs. The prices was more than 50% less than Dexter axles; well worth the savings.
Bearings came installed; made installation a breeze. Slide them on and put on retaining washer, nut and retaining bracket.
I’d buy them again (today) will re-evaluate in a year.

by:

This is the trailer I built using your spindles and electric brakes.
It towed beautifully from Texas to Kansas City and back for the World of Wheels.

by:

This is my second order. I ordered for the rear axle first. The parts looked good. So ordered for the other axle. The seals are robust and double seal design. But the bearing are China bearings. Would have liked to seen timkin or the like but are serviceable. The break kit fit well and looks good. We will see how they do on my 2500 mile round trip thru the mountains with a small truck loaded on it. The operators both times were very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Keep up the good work and I'll keep buying!

Put about 3000 miles with zero issues. They performed better than expected. I have ordered several items since then and the operators are all knowledgeable and all ways willing to do what they can to ensure a proper order and that Im satisfied with my order

by:

Install was simple. Bolt right on. With new hardware. One year later no problem. Easy to grease. Really happy with product. Even the lady that sold them to me was awesome. She really knew what she was talking about an answered every question with out hesitation.

by:

Product now comes packaged in a hard and sturdy cardboard box, contrary to some reviews on the past. Thanks for a great product!

Its been a year and 12,000 miles later took a long loop to Canada and the PAC NW with the trailer and those bearings are still running strong. I replaced the entire shebang with these along with eTrailers electric brakes on all four. Solid.

by:

your trailer selection and specifications were not right for my Forrest River. your site said it has 3.5 k axles but it really has 4 k which regulate different parts. i returned the parts and sent your prople the manufactures delivery sheet so you can update your site.

by:

Pleased with the quality of these hub/drum assemblies. Bearings were nicely pre-greased. Kit comes with solid bearing hub covers and bearing buddy types with removable rubber grease plugs...your choice.

by:

I will shop with this team again. The communication was great and it's great to know they know what they are selling and that it will fit your trailer/camper. Good service is so hard to find these days so we should shop with and support those who support American jobs and give great support. If the customer service were to be changed to a foreign country, I would have a change of heart.

by:

Once again great service, with the right parts. at a good price, keep up the good work etrailer.

by:

Outstanding perfect fit simple installation. Fast delivery and the price was right!!

by:

One of the lug nuts was damaged and could not be used. I would like a cotter pin and a flat washer included in this assembly.

by:

First time replacing hubs. Very easy with the pre greased hubs.. Your staff helped me through the replacement

by:

Great service and quality parts!

by:

Product replaced OEM part exactly. product was fully lubed as advertised. Installation was simple.

by:

I think your a great company but my hub drum assembly was a little out of round.
This is probably from storage by the manufacturer.

Have great day! Don

by:

I ordered an easy grease trailer hub and drum assembly to replace the one on my 14 foot cargo trailer which was damaged by a defective magnet. The one I ordered fit perfectly. Since it came pre-greased, it saved quite a bit of time because I did not have to pack the bearings and press in the seal.

by:

My order came in super fast and I am very impressed how the hubs and bearings came in pre-greased. Good job guys! Now I need to install them and get ready for our camping trip.

by:

I haven't received my leaf springs at the same time. I ordered them within minutes of each other. So I have to wait until next week now. Once I get things together I can make an accurate assessment. Probably the only gripe of mine is that I have to wait now. Thanks for the follow up.

by:

Very good quality and easy to install I highly recommend this company for all your trailer needs

by:

Everything easy to assemble(save your nut sand washers from axle) hard part was taking off old rusty outdated parts from old brake assembly. Otherwise easy to replace and set up. Also replaces tires and set pressure to 65psi.

by:

Fast service. Help us work through getting good replacement parts. Thank you.

by:

drums and brakes went together perfectly. Amy J was a big help.

Since we know you have a 3,500 lb axle on your Trailstar trailer we might have an option like with the part # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K which has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern but we do not have anything that has a 5 on 4 inch bolt pattern as that is not a standard trailer bolt pattern.
