If your RV's air conditioner isn't keeping up with the summer heat, upgrade it with this low-profile unit from Advent Air. Condensation dispersion system increases efficiency. Compatible with most RV ACs with a 6-pin connector.

Notes:
This Advent Air AC unit lets you replace an old or broken air conditioner on your RV or camper. It has a 6-pin connector for easy plug-and-play installation and it works with your existing Advent Air or Dometic air distribution box. The AC has a powerful fan and motor that provides a steady stream of air to efficiently cool the inside of your RV on a hot or muggy day. And everything you need in order to replace or add an AC unit is included, which makes installation easy.
Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple. Most AC units are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.
On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.
And in order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with your existing Advent Air or Dometic air distribution box and thermostat.
Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ACMHD) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.
2-Year limited warranty covers defective units when installed correctly on approved applications. The warranty does not cover units installed incorrectly. To ensure air conditioner is installed correctly, please see the questionnaire pdf below. A filled-out questionnaire is required for warranty coverage.
If you are not comfortable using a voltmeter (or removing the charge from the start capacitor), you'll want to make a service appointment with your local RV dealer to verify the installation. Print the pdfs below (warranty- questionnaire, warranty dealer information) and take them along with the RV to your local dealer. ASA does compensate dealers for warranty work as outlined in the dealer information pdf. You may be charged by the dealer for time spent investigating the installation.

This unit matched right up to my Dometic Airbox perfectly. The low profile unit is much smaller than the Dometic, without sacrificing any performance.
Installed unit with Coleman adapter harness and A/C compressor comes in, condenser starts cooling, but fan never comes on. I voiced my concern that i think the blower motor is bad, but after contacting eTrailer, I was instructed that I'd need to spend more money and purchase Advents, compatible over head control box. Installed everything recommended and guess what??? Still no fan operation. Pulled the upper cover off the unit, checked for voltage at blower motor on all speeds and yep, you guessed it, voltage at the blower motor. I spent so much money to replace a Coleman unit that was working, just struggled in the heat of the day. Overall, the whole experience has been garbage.
Direct replacement for a 10 yr old Dometic. Four bolts and plug in one connector and the camper was cooling. No adaptors needed. I wasn’t sure of the quality or ability of the unit as it was less than half the price of the replacement Dometic, but so far I’m impressed. I set the T-stat to 68 and within an hour it got to set point during these 90+ degree days. I read a lot of reviews of these units being damaged and this one followed suit. It has a dent in the metal frame just as others have observed, but it didn’t affect the mounting of the unit or cover. There was no damage to the shipping box or packing foam. My guess it’s was a production issue. Time will tell on how long it last, but with proper filter maintenance and coil cleaning it should give many years of good service. It does include an 2 year limited warranty, just remember to fill out the paperwork for it to be valid. Only negative, it is made in China, but most things are these days.

have installed a few ac's over the years the smaller profile and weight as well as a simple plug and play made this advent a success in application . benefits over commercial dometic it replaced were quieter and less vibration as well as a general feeling of cooler throughout my 36 newmar .las vegas heat will continue to challenge the unit , we'll see if it survives the summer. so far pleased !
As I write this review i have not installed the AC unit and cain’t comment on it, but would like to say that I am extremely pleased with the service provided by etrailer. The unit was damaged in shipping and etrailer.com was very helpful in resolving the issue and getting the part replaced in a very timely manner. I will without a doubt continue to do business with them for any future purchase.
When it was delivered, I didn’t open box because our RV is two hrs away. We got there today and opened box and naturally there was a dent on top left side, it mashed the top down on one side and pushed fan cover on fan- so we had to straighten that out so fan could run with no noise.
Ordered one you didn’t have in stock cancel the order called and talked to your salesman had to cancel the order was going to refund that order and charged me again i have not received the money yet I paid for two only got one
Replacing an aged Carrier Air 5. This unit was plug 'n play with the old controls ... as I didn't want to give up the old remote or worry about the furnace interface. Will was great on the phone and got me all I needed, plus follow-up on shipments. The new unit is a bit louder, but the air is cold.
The unit arrived, and I installed it the very next day. Overall, I spent about 2 hours preparing and completing the project, and the air conditioner works great.
product arrived really fast it was 4 days from the time that i purchased it to delivery it went on bolted right up and plug and played no issues what so ever blows 21 degrees colder than room temp it does build up a lil more condensation that my old one but i can deal with the issue instead of the heat. i had this ac on the roof out the box and bolted down plugged in and cooling in less than 20 mins will definitely recommend to anyone looking and will def do repeat business with etrailer in the future
Super fast delivery! I ordered ours after discovering the old Dometic unit had died on July 1st, and the new Advent unit arrived on July 3rd :-). Installation was even easier than in the YouTube direction video. I had the old one out, and the new one installed and running in less than an hour. Couldn't be happier with my purchase, and hopefully this one will last as long as the as one (19 years).
Puts out lots of cold air. No directions on how to matchup to a Coleman diversion box. Lots of DIY videos latter, some rigid insulation and duct tape and it works great. 100 degrees outside, and the AC is pushing 60-degree air inside. Easily keep inside temp at 72. Coleman Mach 1 could barely keep it at 80. Customer service has always been really friendly.
Good air conditioner, but fan won't shut off after set temperature is met
Great service! Great prices! I had a question and technician answered quickly and explained everything.
Boxes arrived intact. Was kept informed about when it would ship, that it had shipped and had arrived and where they had dropped it off.
Was truly great experience! Will recommend to my other RVing friends!
excellent.plug and play install. so eas y!
Everything fit perfectly and arrived earlier than expected. Works beautifully!
I have yet to install the unit. It looks great. It was delivered 2 weeks earlier than expected. It was also a great price.

I wanted to let you know that with the original order for the AC unit since it did not ship and was canceled, the payment was voided. We only charge the card when the order ships and so the payment authorization will just fall off. You would not see it was a credit back.
