great.

pins are loose fit, and move around when and attempt is made to insert them. had to make numerous attempts at getting the pins in just the right position to make them mate to the socket.

quality plug and wire insulation. Once installed, they seem tight and secure with good electrical contact.

I have installed several of these. They were ALWAYS a very snug fit, and sometimes slightly misaligned, which made them a little difficult to install the first time. I NEVER had one with loose pins. Loose pins? First time for everything, I guess!

Thanks for the comment! Sometimes there can be some wiggle room on the contacts, but typically on the light side. As long as the connections are good and solid, everything will function properly.

Worked great except the terminal ring on the ground wire is too small for many trailer bolts/posts.

by:

Great product! My right brake/turn signal stopped working on my trailer, so I purchased a new ST70RB 6-1/2" oval trailer light, along with the wiring plug and grommet, installed them in about 30 min, and it works great! The package arrived quickly and was packed nicely. I found out my fuse was blown on my 2016 Traverse for the right trailer stop/turn signal, but that was most likely from the old light which I think was leaking. I didn't know there was a fuse just for that so I learned something new. I will definitely purchase trailer products again from etrailer.com!

Makes future replacement/repairs much e asier.

  • GloLight LED Tail Light Compatibility with 2018 Coachmen Clipper ST108
The GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Submersible - 22 Diodes - Oval - Red Lens # STL178RFPB is most likely a fit for your 2018 Coachmen Clipper ST108. The best way to confirm fit is to check the mounting hole locations. The mounting holes are 7 inches on center and 2-11/16 inches on center. I've attached a photo to assist. Then you can use the Snap-on Reflector Ring for STL78RB Series LED Lights - Red # A78RXB or the chrome ring # A78CB.

  • What is the Candela Output of Optronics 6-1/2 Inch Incandescent and LED Tail Lights?
I do recommend you move to LED lights as they are going to last much longer than the incandescent lights on your horse trailer. As far as light output, Optronics generally measures their lights in candelas instead of lumens though at a distance of 1 foot candela is equal to lumens so you should have a good idea of how bright the lights are. I contacted Optronics and the representative was able to give me the candelas of each of the lights you were asking about. The incandescent # BU70CB...

  • How to Connect the # STL42RB Tail Lights to a 1958 Trailer with 2 Wire Lighting System
The 4 inch Round Sealed LED Stop, Turn or Tail Light, item # STL42RB, uses a 3 wire pig tail, item # A47PB or # A45PB, to connect to your existing trailer wiring. The plug on the pigtail plugs into the back of the tail light and is then hard wired to your trailer wiring. It sounds as if your original tail lights were grounded to the trailer frame through their mounting studs, so a third wire was not needed. When connecting the 3 wires from the 3 wire pig tail, you will ground the white...

I'd be happy to assist you. It sounds like you need the Sealed, Flush Mount Tall Rectangle LED Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, Grommet and Plug, 12 Diode # STL34RB but most of the pictures I see have round tail lights like the Sealed, 4" Round, LED Stop/Turn/Tail light, 21 Diode - Red # STL55RB. • Installation of Optronics Sealed, 6-1/2 Inch Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn, and Tail Light
Thank you for your purchase from etrailer.com! The Optronics Sealed, 6-1/2 Inch Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn, and Taillight # STL78RB that you purchased will need to be hardwire installed on your trailer. You will want to connect the light to your trailer's wiring by function. You can use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to determine the functions of your trailer wiring. The white wire on the light will need to be grounded. I recommend running the light ground back to the main trailer...

You are correct the white wire is the ground circuit, the red wire is the stop/turn circuit and the black is the running light. This is the industry standard for trailer lighting colors like what comes with the harness part # A45PB.

  • Will the ST70RB and the STL72RB Both Fit on the Same Sized Light Housing?
To answer your question, both of the # ST70RB and the # STL72RB are 6-1/2" long x 2-1/4" wide x 2-3/8" deep lights; the main difference is that one is an LED light while the other is an incandescent. I was able to find some information on your TruckLite 60283 light and the best match to replace that light is the # ST70RB , since your trailer light system is wired for incandescent lights. If you wanted to switch both lights over to LED, you would use # STL72RB but you would likely need...

To fit the round 4-1/2 inch holes on your trailer for the rear brake lights you could use the # STL42RB as this will fit in that hole. For a pigtail harness you would also need # A45PB. For the side clearance lights you would need to enlarge the holes to 3 inch in diameter, use the # A55GB as a grommet and then use # MCL59AB for the lights and # A46PB as a wiring harness. • Correct LED Replacement for Optronics ST70RB Trailer Tail Light
The Optronics Fleet LED Trailer Tail Lights # TLL12RK are a slightly longer light so they aren't a replacement, but we do have the LED replacement you need for the Optronics # ST70RB. That part is the Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light # STL72RB. This light uses the same PVC Grommet # a70gb with the 3-wire Pigtail # A45PB or # A47PB (right angle pigtail) for installation. • Converting Separate Turn Signals and Brake Lights to Combined Turn and Brake Lights on a Trailer
If the trailer is one that is pulled by a motorcycle or a trailer designed to carry a motorcycle, you will need a converter in order to convert the wiring system used by the 6-Way to a 2 wire system used by trailer lights. The converter you can use is # RM-732. This takes the separate turn and brake signals and makes them a combined circuit. When you hit the brakes with the turn signal on, it should blink on one side and the other side will remain a solid brake light. The converter will...

I went through all our options for adding lights to a bike rack or cargo trailer, and the Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights # C53201 will be the good option, but there is a potential issue.
