Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this replacement anti-rattle hitch bolt for your Yakima bike racks. This is going to replace the threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt for your Yakima BigHorn 4, DoubleDown, FlipSide, HoldUp, or SwingDaddy bike racks. And this is also going to work with your Yakima DryDock boat support carriers as well. On your screen, as you can see, I have included the item numbers for you for your reference.
And as you no doubt know, this bolt secures your hitch mounted bike or boat carrier to your vehicle's hitch receiver. And it includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get one half-inch hitch bolt, two washers, and one clip. So, whenever you're going to put this into place, you just want to make sure that you put the split washer under the head of the bolt and then follow that up with the flat washer. And then you're gonna tighten this down using a 3/4 of an inch or 19 millimeter wrench.
You, of course, wanna make sure that it's nice and tight. And put the clip into place and you are in business. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

This unique bolt is a life saver when you're converting from a 1.25 hitch to 2-inch hitch for your Buck horn 4 bike rack.
It was the right fit for my doubledown Yakima bike rack.
It was exactly the right replacement part I needed for my Flipside Yakima rack. My new lock fit it perfectly. With the old one, the lock never fit right.

This is just the discontinued part that I needed for by bike rack. The price was more than fair and it was delivered almost a week early.
I had been looking for the mounting hardware for my Yakima DoubleDown and everywhere I checked they were out of stock. Then I was given etrailer's information and they had the part and shipped it the same day. My Customer Service Rep, William B was professional but also very personable. He was extremely helpful to me and I can't say enough about his customer service care to me. I highly recommend anyone to check etrailer out first before going anywhere else for their needs. I misplaced this part to my bike rack. I have been looking for a replacement. Vendors I found who carry the 5/8" diameter bolt are out of stock. The description for this bolt does not include the diameter, so I took a chance. And lost. This bolt is 1/2" diameter.

This pin fits my older Yakima hitch mount bike rack (I think it is a bighorn 4) and it also fits my newer Toyota Sequoia, which has a wider receiver, which was too wide for the original pin. Now I can carry bikes on my Sequoia! :)
I needed a part for my Yakima bike carrier and etrailer was the only place I could find it. They shipped it to me very quickly and then followed up to ensure I received it. Part is working great! Service was excellent!!
The product is great. Being the replacement bolt for a $200 bike carrier, I thought this replacement bolt would be ridiculously expensive. At ten dollars, the penalty for losing this bolt in storage was not that bad. It is the exact factory bolt that came with the original bike carrier. 9/10: would order again.
Sales rep was very helpful. I needed a hitch pin for a Yakima bike rack I bought at an estate sale. I didn't know what rack I bought as there wasn't any paperwork or information plate on rack. She called Yakima and tried to find out what pin I needed. Unfortunately, the pin they came up turned out to be wrong pin. But can't blame eTrailer. They did all they could with the information I had.
For what it is, it's a nice piece of hardware. But, it doesn't fit on the rack I ordered it for. I have a Yakima SwingDaddy, and this should have fit it, but the original nut in the rack was metric, and the threads on this are standard. I replaced the nut in the rack and moved on. I especially like that this has an end that fits in a hitch-pin lock.
This fit my Yakima hitch mount bike rack as described. An affordable after-market solution to what Yakima insists on making a proprietary-sized item. Thanks etrailer for the great website, product description, and product reviews.
