This rustproof aluminum, adjustable ball mount with stainless steel hitch balls lets you tow up to 7,500 lbs with the 1-7/8" ball or up to 8,000 lbs with the 2" ball. Use in drop or rise positions. Ball platform locks to shank.

Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a 1-7/8" and 2" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - simply flip over the platform, hitch-up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.
Adjusting and setting up the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount to work with your specific trailer is easy. To switch hitch balls, unlock and pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank. Next, flip the platform 180 degrees so that either the 1-7/8" or 2" hitch ball is on top. Then replace the platform and slide it along the shank to the desired height. Insert the dual pins and use one of the included keys to lock the pins in place.
The 180 Hitch 2-ball mount can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.
Superior Aluminum and Stainless Steel Construction
From the first moment that you lay eyes on the 180 Hitch you'll see that you're getting a superior, well-made product. The 180 Hitch's shank and ball mount platform are made entirely of 6061 T6 billet aluminum, which is the same material that is used to build aircraft components, automobile frames, and freight liners. This type of aluminum is known for having superior strength while maintaining its light weight, which makes it highly desirable over hollow steel components. 6061 T6 aluminum is also rustproof, which means the 180 Hitch will maintain its clean, shiny, and impressive appearance for years to come. And the hitch balls are made of solid stainless steel, offering far greater protection against rust and corrosion than other steel hitch balls that are only painted or plated on the surface.
The 180 Hitch meets VESC V-5 regulations and is SAE J684 certified. These regulatory bodies - the Vehicle Equipment Safety Commission and the Society for Automotive Engineers - create standards for the design, construction, and performance of automotive and towing accessories. Weigh Safe has had this ball mount thoroughly tested in simulation to ensure that it complies with these standards. The result is a strong, safe, sturdy product that is built to last.

Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a quick look at the 180 2-Ball Mount. This is a really nice option to mash a couple of things into one by having an adjustable ball mount. You hopefully won't ever need to have another one again. So that's always a great benefit. It also has the two different size balls so you can use it with multiple trailers, multiple trailer couplers as well.
You get the 2" and the 1.875" balls with this one. The thing that really makes this ball mount stand out from other adjustable ball mounts is the fact that it is made by Weigh Safe, and they take their time to really make a nice product. Also, it is made out of aluminum for the shank and the ball platform. The balls themselves are made out of stainless steel, but you might pick up a ball mount that's of similar size and it's just super heavy. This one, it's really not that bad at all. I'm not a bodybuilder, but this can easily be maneuverable.
It's easy to take on and off. Also, if you care about your stuff getting rusty, since it's mostly aluminum and then also stainless steel, really should never have to worry about this getting rusty or starting to look mucked up or anything like that. So very durable, lightweight, and should look good forever, really. For the life of the product it really should stay looking nice. As far as working with it, it slides in easily.
It looks really nice. All the edges are chamfered or smoothed off, so it just feels really good in the hand and should be a great addition to your towing setup. That said, let's jump in and talk a little bit more about specs. I'll give you a bunch of measurements to make sure it's the right fit for you. This does work in both the drop or rise position. Of course right now I have it in the drop position.
It does come with a lock to lock the ball platform to the shank. It does not come with a lock for your hitch, though, so that is something you'd have to pick up on your own. We do have a whole bunch of locks available here at etrailer.com. If you want to stay brand loyal, there is a lock from Weigh Safe and you can find that as a related part on the product page here. So that aside, we can take a look at how this goes together. We've got this little rubber cap guide to seal up or cover over our lock. Always nice to keep out any kind of dirt or grime from getting in there. I wish this had a tether. I just feel like since this is a free agent, it's going to instantly get lost. It's not a huge deal if it does, but that's just always something that I think about. So unlock it, pull out that double pin. That makes for a really sturdy connection between the ball platform and the shank. Really not a lot of movement or wiggle here. It's a pretty tight tolerance, so that's always nice that it's not going to be just this super rattly bunch of stuff heading down the road. So if you wanted to change from the 2" ball to the 1.875", you just pull that off, flip it over, and put it back on. Ta-dah. That's all there really is to it. Or if you wanted to go from the drop to the rise position, again, super easy to do. Very nicely made. Slides together really nicely, and really just looks cool overall. But it should also give you good performance as well, because it doesn't matter if it's pretty if it doesn't work right. But Weigh Safe is a pretty good brand. Woops. Wrong side. The lock can really only go on one side and in one direction. I'll show you that here. So you can see there's a little bump out on that lock piece that needs to go on this side and towards the balls so that it can slide in, and then lock it. But again, Weigh Safe, they make a really good product. Should last you for years. They really make this out of some strong stuff. The aluminum is 6061-T billet aluminum, which is used in engineering products. It can be strong enough to create skyscrapers. It's a really strong aluminum billet, so you don't have to worry about any kind of issues there. And those hitch balls, made of stainless steel.Again, very rugged. You shouldn't have to worry about anything with that. Now, as far as measurements, as promised, let's talk about those. So the total drop or the max drop you can get out of this would be 8", and that's measured from the inside top edge of the receiver tube to the ball platform. Same thing for the rise. So it'd be going from the top edge of the hitch to this portion of the ball mount when it's at its highest position, and vice versa for the drop. The overall height going from the bottom of that adjustment shank to the top, 11". Front to back, it's 13". Now, as far as the other ones that I have there, just a few measurements for clearance. Going from the closest pin hole, there are two, and going to the adjustment hole, that is a difference or a distance of 4.375.If we go to the center of the ball, it's 8.5". And then to the back of the shank here, the adjustment shank, that is 3". Just to give you some ideas of the relation between all those things. The distance between those two hitch pin holes is 1.125", so you have a little bit of adjustment there to get it dialed in where you need it to be. As far as the adjustment hole spacing, they are spaced apart by 1". The hitch pin hole diameter is 0.625. Pretty typical for anything that's going to be in a 2x2" hitch, which this is for that.So that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the 180 Hitch 2-Ball Mount. It is made in the USA and covered by a limited lifetime warranty, so you should be good for years with this ball mount. I think it looks really nice. It should work out well. As long as those measurements are within where you need them to be, should be great. So I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is the right ball mount for you. We do have a lot of other options available here at etrailer.com, so check them out. Thanks for watching.

After 3 months one of the trailer chains bonds against the hitch while taking a shape turn and bent the key to flip the receiver ball. So we are basically stuck with a 2 5/16 receiver since it cannot be opened and flipped. Aluminum is nice but weak at the same time.

One hitch for ALL my towing needs! The product has a great design and is very well made; I would highly recommend it to others wanting to reduce clutter in their truck tool box. With this product, you need only to carry one highly configurable hitch. The hitch is designed to adjust drop(raise) height in seconds.

Simple and easy to switch to another trailer with a different ball size and height. Only negative thing I can say is I would prefer a little tighter fit into the receiver.

Guess I should read the product description more closely. This unit doesn’t contain a scale. I don’t need it, just assumed it had one. The hitch itself is good. I haven’t used it with my enclosed 14’ trailer yet too see how much of any the wind sway is reduced. I’ve towed my 14’ 10k flatbed loaded a few times. The new hitch has reduced bounce a sway a tremendous amount. This trailer has surge/hydraulic brakes which normally makes for a jerky pull.

I use this hitch daily to pull my 7X12 cargo dual axle trailer with my Mercedes GL350 Blutec. I needed the extra length for the shaft since it is going in my SUV, which is tucked under the rear bumper. The adjustable ball height is perfect as well. Previously I had a cheap hitch from Uhaul with the ball turned up and was not the correct height. This was well worth the money.

I just received my 2.5" receiver 180 - 2 ball mount hitch, along with the hitch receiver lock. I could not be happier with this product. The manufacturing is flawless with a beautifully machined and finished end product. This thing is beautiful! It's a solid chunk of Aluminum with Stainless Steel hitch balls, and is machined so the ball mount may be reversed and stored to the back side of the drop. No more bashed shins walking around the truck! I couldn't ask for a better finish on this ball mount. I now have a beast of a hitch to put to work on my beast of a truck.

The Cadillac of hitches. I was tossed between this aluminum Weigh Safe 180 hitch or the BW Tiw and Stow Hitches.
Overall the Weigh Safe 180 won out because I wanted aluminum hitch and stainless balls that won’t rust. Iam tired of touch up painted and clean rust off of steel balls and steel hitches.
Stop and go works with both hitches if you buy the longer versions.
I got the 3” adjustable hitch because it does everything I need it for and for added ground clearance compared to if you buy the longer version.
Overall perfect. Get the lockable hitch pin. Also always add a generous amount of grease. I use bearing grease on the hitch shaft that is inside the truck receiver. I also put a tab of grease over the key locking points and use the dust covers to combat rust and moisture.
Super fast delivery.

Hitch is heavy duty and easy to change couple heights and this makes it very convenient since I pull several different size trailers. The first use was pulling a 13000 lb boom lift and it worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants to have peace of mind that their hitch will handle what it is coupled to.

etraier's order processing and shipping was fast! The order was easy and accurate to track. Fit and finish is second to none. No more searching for the correct ball size!! When assembled to the truck receiver there is zero movement and towing with it is actually quiet. I highly recommend etrailer and the weigh safe 180 2 ball mount!!

Haven't really towed a lot with it yet but I have no doubt it will hold up well. I lost the rubber cap that covers the keyhole but so far it is still working, even with the salt and slop of upstate New York's roads. Hopefully lock continues working.

The fit and finish on this is great. The shipping form Etrailers to my home only took two days.
I have not used it yet, but will update if I experience any issues. I don't expect any with this.

It’s been a year of consistent use now. This hitch works fantastic on my 2019 Ram Rebel. I haul a 25’ enclosed trailer and this hitch works with no issues. Easy to set and use.

It's a decent product. Not many choices for a 2-1/2 aluminum hitch. It's big and bulky looking but has the capacity if needed. After one year of occasional use it shows it's wear. Not sure how long before a $92 ball replacement will be needed.

The hitch is great, fit and finish is nice. It is great to have a hitch that I don't have to worry about rust! The other great feature is how you can store the ball assembly in the front of the hitch, so you won't walk into it!

Heavy Duty Hitch. Easily adjustable.
Review from a similar 180 Hitch Ball Mount in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount
Works great! Only thing is make sure you keep the key hole lubed after a few months of road grime it took a bit to get it to move again. Not the products fault it’s because I never lubed it. Thank you!

I recieved the shipment today. Assembled the hitch and installed it in the receiver. Good fit read through the paperwork that came with the hitch. Either I missed something before ordering. But the hitch is rated higher than expected. I am not complaining but this time it worked out for me. Usually I am not that lucky? Good quality product. The machining is top quality anf fit of machined parts is good. Time will tell how well the aluminum holds up to the loads that my trailers carry. 7k, 10, and 12, trailers.

My first time towing an RV trailer. I had done my homework on hitch ball mounts & balls, so I was aware of the rise that I needed. As a newbie, I was a bit overwhelmed with the selections eTrailer offered, so I called customer service and wow - Korren was amazing: knowledgable, answered my questions and provided a couple of suggestions. I decided on this 180 hitch because it met my specs and provided a lot of flexibility. Used it for the first time yesterday and worked perfectly -- easy to set up at attach my Lance 1995 to my Chevy Silverado 1500. The only thing that might improve the product is to etch each inch of drop / rise onto the shank for easier adjustment of the ball mount. Thank you Korren!
