Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Locking Dual Pin Assembly for Way Safe Ball Mounts. Part Number WS03. Upgrade the dual pin assembly on your Way Safe 180 ball mount. Or replace the existing lock on your Way Safe ball mount. When used in conjunction with a linchpin lock you can have piece of mind that your ball mount is not going anywhere. Way Safe makes a hitch receiver lock and you can pick it up with Part Number WS05. It uses a barrel style lock and key so it's much harder to pick.
It's an inexpensive upgrade to protect your investment. Here's our two side by side. They're both built the exact same way using the exact same material. The only difference is the lock versus the clips. Here on our ball platform you can see it's already designed to work with the upgraded lock. So we'll just slide it on. Just as we normally would.
Pick our desired height. Take our lock. Put it in place and then it automatically locks. Two keys are included. One great feature about the keys, is once it's unlocked the keys cannot be removed. So you don't lose them.
The pin system is made out of aluminum just like our ball mount. The lock itself is made out of a plated steel. Both are going to resist rust and corrosion. If you like to further protect them you and pick up a Way Safe cover with Part Number WS08. And that's going to complete our look at the Lock In Dual Pin Assembly for Way Safe ball mounts. Includes 2 keys.I am happy to say that the drop hitch I purchased from etrailer is very nice an seems to be excellent quality. I received the hitch very quickly via UPS. We have an incredible UPS delivery driver named Michael who brings us our items to our place of work and home. I have the hitch installed on my 2015 Ram 2500 Cummins which comes stock from the factory with a 2.5 inch receiver. Every vendor I visited told me I had to use an adaptor in my receiver to accept the standard 2" hitch, but I did not want to use an adaptor to make sure I can have the maximum towing and tongue weight capacities for which my truck is rated. We had just purchased the 180 hitch and weigh safe 2 ball stinger so we really needed a locking system. This one does the trick and we know all is well!
Quality part. Nice to be able to get this part after I lost the keys
This is a replacement for an earlier item I had to drill out due to corrosion from salt. With a little bit of preventative maintenance it is working fine. Just remember to take it off the tow vehicle as soon as you are done towing in the winter time.
This lock for the 180 hitch works great. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is I believe it should be included in the original purchase of the hitch. A hitch of this caliber should include a locking feature even if the cost is a little higher.

This locking pin assembly fits the 180 hitch perfectly. It is a must have to keep the hitch assembly safe from being stolen.

Hitch received timely and in good condition. Have used the hitch and it is very easy to mount and adjusting the height is simple and easy to do. I purchased the locking hitch pin which decreases the possiblity of someone stealing it. I was asked if it was billet because it looks like it is. Great hitch!,
Works great on the new 2-1/2" hitch that came on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4. Super easy to key lock to my Ram key. Trying to eliminate as many keys as I can. Was a little bigger than I thought, but still clears the two chain hooks. Solid and beautifully finished. As you can see in the picture, I also got the matching BOLT coupler lock.
I pull a 25 foot Malibu Wakesetter and a Can-Am side-by-side with my 2017 F250. This product works great because it fits both trailers and adjusts to each. I also purchased the Locking Pin and had a Hitch lock for added security.
Old lock wouldn't work anymore. I was worried I would have to buy a whole new weigh safe hitch as it is useless without this part. This fit perfectly and saved me hundreds.
Love the dual pin locking assembly. Made of quality materials and works flawlessly. This style hitch is easily disassembled and I felt this was a must have for safety and security.

Product looks great Just put it on and all hooked up and locked clicked in as it said it would Can't say how good it is till the weekend but will be pulling 16' loaded with 4-wheeler & crew size ranger

Item was shipped and arrived quickly. Great quality. Makes the ball mount very secure. I have no worries about my ball getting stolen especially with the two pins.
Seems like the lock is not on the same level of toughness as the hitch. Wish it also had a hole for pin as a backup to the lock. Time will tell
Purchased this for my 180* Drop-Hitch. Does the Job. Anyone wanting something can easily get it. This is just a deterrent to a thief. Made from stock aluminum and brushed finish. I would purchase again!
