Thule does make a good product, however these are kind of difficult to set and adjust properly. Once you do get them set, they work flawlessly. It’s the initial set up that is a bit frustrating.
Other than that, they work as intended.
Installed it today on my Thule rack. Great product!
The problem: How to transport kayaks with smaller vehicle as weight of cross & kayak racks plus kayaks was above vehicle roof weight limits. So I shopped for a "kayak" trailer.
The people at etrailer made the ordering process easy and successful to complete this project.

Purchase Experience: Excellent, Melissa gave me a few options and discussed differences between them. Was friendly, courteous and professional. Found my customer information based on just my email address and took my new order easily. Shipped out quickly and arrived in a few days.
Thule DockGrip carrier: Works fine with my Toyota 2016 RAV4 OEM crossbars. Did have to use the universal mount flipped with the arch UP to make it work. Included documentation was clear and easy to understand, came with mounts and straps to hold my kayak. I do need a front tow hook for my vehicle, didn't know this until after I got the mount, had to order that extra and wait a few more days to use it. Grip is adjustable for size and shape of kayak, which is nice. Mostly plastic construction, lightweight, hopefully durable. A little pricey for what you're getting, but hopefully the engineering is better than the cheaper alternatives.
Overall I'm happy with my purchase and continued experience with etrailer.com, I've recommended it to others who have asked and will continue to do so.
The Thule kayak rack was shipped quickly and arrived on schedule. The rack was as advertised and I'll continue to order from etrailer given the numerous positive interactions I've had with them.
Bought them for my Thule rack, easy to install even with out directions (none were included) I liked that there is two options with these cradle style carrier.
Easy install for the dockgrip kayak. Definitely nice that they are plyable and will conform somewhat to kayak bottom. Customer service very helpful.

I am very happy with my Thule DockGrip kayak carrier. Since I can load the kayak by myself when loading from the back of my SUV. I just lift one end of the kayak up onto the back pads then go to the other end and push the kayak into place. This is very important since Im 72 yo and sometimes go kayaking alone while the old folks rest.
The product arrived three days ahead of schedule in good condition. Always great customer service from etrailer.
Super solid saddle option. Very adjustable. Fits my wife’s Pungo 120 hull like a glove.
Easy order process online..Great communication and status of delivery..product was as described and worked perfect.

The kayak pads work very well on my 14Hobie. They follow the contour of the bottom of the kayak perfectly!
