8-11/16" x 3-3/16" Rectangle. Low-profile RV combination tail light serves 3 functions: brake, tail, and turn light. Mounts of surface of trailer. 3-Wire pigtail.Improved brightness for safety plus long lasting LEDs. Only problem is that they are smaller than OEM and marks from old lights are hard to get rid of
I purchased these as, additional tail lights. I believe my current lights are not bright enough in daylight. I purchased two of the passenger side as, I do not need additional licence plate lighting. Also, on my cargo trailer the licence plate is mounted on the large rear door / ramp. these lights will also serve as additional rear side marker lights when mounted properly. I cannot provide photos at this time as the lights are not installed yet.
These LED lights are a great improvement from the originals. I'm a big fan of LEDs I replace them in everything I have if I can. much safer .
I all so installed a LED light strip, like the ones you would install under the tail gate on a pick up. with Back ups, Tail & Turn.
These Optronics light are a little smaller in size, you do have to silicon over the old holes before installing.
One year of use, and they are still working well. Direct replacement for the OEM lights on our 2013 Forest River Rockwood trailer. Much brighter than the incandescent fixtures they replaced.
The lights fit like the original ones did. Good customer service!
Will order from them again.
This was an exact replacement for the OEM tail lights on my KZ Spree travel trailer. The replacement process was very straight forward. These tail lights are much brighter than the originals, and the LEDs should last the life of the RV without the aggravating and unpredictable bulb replacement needed by the older type.
The website product description was perfectly accurate. Communication was excellent. This has also been my experience with etrailer on previous orders.
Just what we needed. Perfect.
These lights are a better option than regular bulb type lights. No more worry about corroded bulb contacts. They installed reasonably easily. They are a little different dimensions than the old lights but that wasn't really an issue.
This is more of an etrailer review.
I was looking for a replacement of a wraparound taillight for my 1999 Jayco Eagle pop up trailer. From the advice received through your site, I found that not only had that taillight been discontinued, its replacement was discontinued as well and the product I purchased was the best available option.
This alone helped me to end my seemingly endless search for a solution and while I could acquire this cheaper in Canada, I decided to buy through etrailer given they had given me options from past comments and saved me work. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of ordering and the speed of delivery as I now have both taillight replacements less than a week after ordering - even given a border to cross.
This is excellent and I think pretty rare customer service. I'll be back if I need anything further.
Cracked lens on the OEM tail light, I took the opportunity to change them out to LED. This model substantially fit the footprint of the OEM units. I have found them to have good daylight brightness, and as LED's do, they "pop" when they turn on or off. Back and forth through Atlanta and Nashville a few times already this spring in daytime traffic, it appeared that my lane changing intentions were clearly visible as I always received consideration when I signaled. And the best part; I needed them just as I was departing on a trip. Ended up I was going right by etrailer.com so they held them at the will-call counter for me. Couldn't have been easier!
And when you need electric brake stuff for your trailer, upgrade to the self-adjusting type and be happy with better brakes than you're probably used to.
I actually traded my camper in, in November that that light was installed on. It worked great while I owned the camper.
They work, they are a lot brighter than the incandescent ones. (I say "they" since you order them usually in pairs, unless you break one.)
They are not my first choice for light assemblies. However, they are identical in design and size to the incandescent ones that broke on my trailer, and they are the only LED models with the same width/height so they fit up perfectly.
Problem is, when trying to remove the lens cover from the back, it is next to impossible NOT to break one of the white clips...terrible design (see photo).
And from experience (3 years) the lenses do not hold up great to UV. I removed a cover on one original one after 3 years living in a desert; little white clip broke. I was able to apply silicone sealant to hold in place and it did a great job. However, when I went to change the bulb in the other side, not only did a clip break, but the entire lens cracked; I'm assuming due to 3 years in the heat and sunlight.
Ordered LED replacement ones, but one of my wiring connectors was not seated correctly (MY FAULT), so when removing the lens, again a white clip broke.
Rather than just silicone a new one, I ordered a new one. That's the reason I gave it a GOOD rating vs. less than GOOD. They are inexpensive.
I will make sure the new one is wired correctly before installing the red lens, and since it is LED they should last years longer than the incandescent bulbs so no need to remove the lens; thus no breakage.
Now that I have the right light I am very happy with it.It is much brighter than the old bulb lights that came on the camper. You can now see the blinker in the day time.I feel better with these lights instaled.
Upgraded standard tail lights on camper trailer to LED taillights. Had to drill new holes to mount as they are close but not and exact replica of what was on the trailer. Lights are 100 times better than the original. Even the driver side light has a separate LED to illuminate your license plate. Worth the money and 30 minutes to install. LED's are brighter especially during the day. Turn and brake lights are more definitive than standard tail lights. I upgrade to LED on every trailer we have owned.
I recently came into a 12' popup trailer, and upon bringing it home I realized that the rear light plastic had decayed to the point where it was falling apart.
I found etrailer.com and fell in love with their well-made website, with it's massive lighting collection that was well curated and organized. It was clear to me that the people at etrailer.com are really passionate about trailer lighting! The videos of each product were awesome and really helped me figure out what I wanted to get. The lights came exactly as promised and were easy to install.
Will highly recommend!
Great fit perfect fit
Works great. Didn't match up in size to 20 year old light, so I had two holes to caulk closed. Also, this comes with a ground wire where as the old light used the screw into the metal of the trailer for ground. I wrapped the ground wire on this light around one of the screws holding it to the trailer and it works fine.
These lights are an excellent upgrade for my pop-up camper. I highly recommend them over incandescents for replacement of old faded tail lights.
These were an excellent replacement for stock lights on 1992 Jayco popup. One suggestion would be to have a channel to run wires behind base to align with wiring openings on various trailers.
Very bright taillights. In fact tail lights are almost as bright as the brake lights. They are a great improvement over my RV oem incandesant lights. They are a little smaller than oem's so had to fill in a couple of screw holes. Very happy with my purchase.
works great
have been installed for over a year and work very well. They are a lot brighter than the old which makes them a lot more visible during daylight hours.
I've told my friends about your site and I'll be sure to use it again when I need any replacement parts.
Thanks Kourtney for all your help.
