Elite Series Jaw

Forged, Self-Latching Jaw

The one-piece, self-latching jaw on this fifth-wheel hitch provides absolute security with its wraparound design. Increased jaw-to-king-pin contact results in not only a stronger connection, but less rattle and movement as well. And the convenient lock indicator on the hitch handle ensures that hookup is complete and secure before you can lock your trailer to your hitch.

Elite Series Slider

Elite Series Slider

Most often used on trucks with 6' beds, this roller helps to eliminate clearance problems during slow-speed turns. When you are towing a fifth-wheel trailer, your hitch must be situated on the cab side of your truck's rear axle. However, at slow speeds you can use a roller to slide the fifth-wheel hitch (and the trailer) toward your truck's tailgate and past the rear axle, creating enough space between the cab of your truck and the trailer to permit less-restricted turning.

Unrestricted Truck Bed Access

Complete Truck-Bed Access

Once your Elite Series fifth-wheel hitch is installed, you can easily remove it for complete access to your truck bed. The fifth-wheel head removes with just two pins and is easy to lift. Then you can unlock and disengage the roller base from the Power Puck rail mounting system and remove it as well. All that you will be left with is four small cavities that sit flush in your truck-bed floor - no rails, no bolts.

90 Degree Wiring Harness

Simple Wiring

The included 90-degree wiring harness makes attaching your trailer to your tow vehicle a snap. With a 9' lead that can easily reach your truck bed and a 90-degree angled head that fits into tight spaces, this uniquely designed wiring harness is perfect not only for your new fifth-wheel hitch, but for gooseneck hitches as well. Simply tee the harness into your vehicle's factory-installed 7-way trailer connector, which is mounted under the bumper of your truck. The 7-way connector on this harness then mounts in the wheel well, right next to your hitch, for quick, easy hookup.

Video Transcript for Reese Fifth Wheel RP30144 Review

Today we're going to review part number RP30144 and this is Reese Elite series pre-assembled 5th wheel hitch with the slider and a wiring harness and an 18000 pound weight capacity. Now, this is a custom fit part it is designed to fit the Ford F250 and F350 super duty trucks that have the 6 3/4 foot bed and the factory rail kit starting in the year 2011. Now, this comes with the forged single piece self-latching jaw right here, which will wrap around the kingpin and this does ensure a proper connection. This type of design will offer superior jaw to kingpin contact. It gives you maximum security and minimum rattle. The included slider that it is on insurers clearance which is required for your short bed truck to turn safely at slow speeds and this will prevent the trailer from hitting the cab of your pickup during those sharp slow speed turns. It does slide very smoothly on the rounded rails which is a design improvement over the older models and this will inhibit binding with the angled steel rollers.

Operates evenly when the tow vehicles are not in a straight line, functions up to a bout a 45 angle, and again this is designed for use on trucks with beds shorter than 8 feet. If you notice on the head itself has a 9 inch wide funnel which is larger than the traditional 6 inch wide funnel. Because of that it will give you a larger area for guiding that kingpin right into the hitch. It has an extendable length lockable handle and to this handle has a pin and clip on it. You can actually use it with a padlock if you like for extra security. Padlocks we do sell separately on our website.

There's a little silver tab here that's showing, this is a kingpin indicator. This will keep the hitch from locking until your connection is secure. Once your kingpin is in here and pushing that indicator out so you can see it and it will allow you to drop the pin or the lock through there to lock it into place. I'm going to show you that in a minute. This does require the elite series custom under bed rail kits. We do sell those separately on our website if you go to our fifth guide and put in your year and model vehicle it'll show you what can't you need and it will also fit the Ford factory rail kit.

This will allow inhibited use of your truck bed when the hitch is removed so when you take it out the rails are all under the bed so you have full access to your truck bed. It does use the quarter turn quick lock puck system to allowed easy mounting and removal of the hitch. Basically there's tabs on each side and if you just remove the clip right here, once you take that clip off, you will see that these handles rotate out a quarter of a turn or 90. When you do that it rotates those tabs and you do the same over there it will rotate those tabs and not will allow you to drop this right into the four pucks that are in your truck bed. Once they're dropped in you just turn this and it will rotate those tabs to lock it into place and then you put your pin and clip in to hold it into place. When you go to remove it, all you have to do is remove your pin and clip, open the handles on each side, and that will allow you to pick it out of the truck bed and give you full access on your truck bed. Will go ahead and close these.

Go ahead and put the pin through there. It does have a very wide footprint. It gives you increased stability. That head on it is a four-way pivot head, improves efficiency, gives you a faster easier hook up even on unlevel ground, and has a 4 side to side pivot. It does give you a 2 inch height adjustment. The hitch height is critical because when you go to tow you want to make sure your trailer hooked up to your truck is as level as possible and your hitch height is measured from your truck bed to the top of the hitch head. This can be adjusted 2 inches from anywhere from 16 inches hitch height to 18 inches. When you bolt this cross member to your slider legs there's 3 rows of holes. Depending on where you bolt it to will give you that range in height adjustment. This comes just like this, the fully assembled unit. Saves you about an hour of assembly time. The finish on it is a sturdy black powder coat steel. Its corrosion resistant. It does come with this nice wiring harness to give you a 7 way in your truck bed. It has about a 9 foot lead. You just make your connections to your 7 way that's at the back of your vehicle, run this wire up, put this in the side of your truck bed, and you have access to a 7 way right in your truck bed. Make it easy hookup for your fifth wheel. Specs on this, the gross towing weight is 18,000 pounds and you got to remember the capacity will be limited to the rail kit that's on your vehicle. The vertical load limit or pin weight capacity is 4500 pounds. I'd mentioned the hitch height adjustment is 16 inches to 18 inches and the amount of slider travel is 10 inches front to back so you can move this 10 inches towards the tailgate of your truck to give you more clearance. I do want to show you a couple features, locking the kingpin and and moving the slider. Basically right now it has the pin and clip in it, you can see the kingpin and the cattery is showing, it's the silver tab right there that you can see from the truck cab. We'll just pop off the clip, just like that, pull out the pin, you can hear the indicator go back into place because there's no kingpin in there, and then what you do is just pull open your handle. When you pull it out, and it will just rotate it towards the tailgate you can see that it will lock it into place. Just to give you an idea, here's a kingpin, this is what kingpin would look like on your fifth wheel trailer. This is on the pin box so when you're backing in the kingpin will be sliding right in here. It'll push up against that jaw and you can see when it gets in far enough it will wrap completely around there. As I had mentioned, that kingpin indicator is showing and the whole is open so that means it's all installed properly. You just take your pen and drop it through there. Again, if you want to use a padlock, we do sell those separately for extra security. With the pin in there then I'll just go ahead and clip it. That holds it already into place. To move the slider, basically what you do is there is a pin over here that you'll just pull out. That keeps it locked into place so you'll just pull that pin out and then you'll be able to right now being all the way towards the cab that's showing in the towing locked position. There's color coding on the side here that it's green this way which means it's locked in towing, there's green this way which means it's locked maneuvering, and then there's all red up here. When it's straight up, when your handle is straight up, that means it's in the unlocked position. Right now you're in the towing lock if you move this handle straight up you can see how that slider will move then. Show you how it moves a little bit. It's hard to move it without it attached to the truck. Then it'll go to the maneuvering position and when it gets to the maneuvering position it will go and lock into place and then it won't be going anywhere. You move 10 inches and then when you're ready to get back on the highway pull it into the unlock and when you back up into the towing position it'll go and lock right into the towing position. Once you're locked in, then you take your pin and slide it back through there into place just like that, and it'll keep it locked into position so that handle won't move. That should do it for the review on part number RP30144 the Reese Elite series preassembled fifth wheel hitch with the slider and the wiring harness and in 18,000 pound weight capacity.

My entire experience with etrailer.com was excellent. I spent numerous hours researching the hitch and tonneau cover set up I wanted for my 2014 Ford F250. The majority of my time was on the etrailer.com website reviewing Q&A, installation guidance and videos, and expert advise. I chose the Reese Elite Series 5th wheel hitch and the BakFlip F1 tonneau cover. Both products arrived within 10 business days. Installation was as easy and straightforward as expected. The BakFlip F1 really dresses up my F250 and the BakFlip technology makes it very easy to use and gives me full access to my truck bed as needed. The Reese hitch has performed flawlessly. 132420

5th Wheel hitch makes towing easy. The trailer I bought would turn without the slider but I can slide the hitch back and maneuver the trailer in very tight quarters. Hitch was too heavy for me to lift but I use my engine hoist to lift hitch in or out all by myself with ease. I made a cart that rolls into the garage when not in use. 337372

Must drop landing gear to reduce trailer weight on hitch when using slider feature. Did not read this anywhere prior to using. Have no problems now. 446606

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

Will try to keep this as real as it gets out there. 2015 F250 XLT Crew Cab 8' Bed Ordered the Reese Elite Gooseneck and Barger 90 degree wiring harness. Received the gooseneck hitch and harness quickly. Free shipping got here in two days. Item came in two boxes. The rails were poorly packaged. Box was basically open and beat to hell, leaving markings on the rails' paint. Didn't bother me, but might others. The pucks were loose in the box and were lucky they did not fall out. The second box with the ball, ball mount, harness and misc. hardware was packed so well it took about 5 minutes to take off all the staples and then each product was individually boxed inside. Wish they would treat the rail box with the same care. Instructions are ok. Used the online install video instead. The video is slightly simplified as getting the nuts on the bolts is a slight challenge for a one man install. I was able to do the entire installation by myself with the exception of the four rail-to-frame bolts. Getting these snugged up to the point of being able to torque took two people simply because the nuts are hidden on the backside of the rail...particularly the driver-side front...which is slightly behind the gas tank, but still accessible. My F250 is factory lifted 4-5" so I did not have to remove the rear wheels, nor did I have to remove the spare tire or heat shield. Lower trucks will need the rear wheels pulled. Installing the ball mounting plate took some doing. Got one bolt on then decided to actually install the ball into the plate from above pulling the plate tight below. I used vice grips to basically keep the plate mounted tight rather than trying to lift it from underneath with one had and bolt it with the other. For me the most time consuming part of the project was getting the darned bed bolts off to lift the right side. Broke the T50 bit they supplied and then two others. Finally gave up and ground off two of the remaining bolts...and ordered replacements. Tip for those doing this on their own, you may want to spray the bolts from under with PB Blaster the day before you intend to install. I forgot and the issue was likely that the bolts were rusted. The wiring harness was a breeze, although I wish a shorter version was available. (Perhaps I missed it). Had to loop/zip tie about 2-3' under the bed. Connecting between the factory connectors did require me to pull the mounting plate. Was a bit tight to just slip the new connector in. Also, working the harness thru the hole in the bed side was a bit tight. Install probably took 10 minutes after getting the holes drilled. Total install time for this slightly skilled guy was about 3-1/2 hours...after the bed bolts fiasco. Oh...and did it all with a cast on the left arm. Ha! Now to see how she tows! 430852

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

Item was received well packaged. All parts were received as expected. I wish I would have taken pictures of box when it was received or as I installed it on my 2015 F250 but rest assured it fit into my Ford with the 5th wheel prep package quite easily. Directions were adequate. My only issue was I did not know if the pre-asembly of the base was torqued correctly. There was no mention of it in the packaging and I do not own a torque wrench so it would have been comforting to know that it was done properly before shipment. However it appeared to be okay and I had no issues towing my 5th wheel the 15 miles from the dealership to my home. Also there is no mention prior to ordering that you need lithium grease to properly lube the moving parts. Make sure you have on hand prior to assembly. Overall, excellent product and I am definitely please with it and highly recommend it. 203214

I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase one year ago of this hitch. We have towed our 32 crusader across the country and back via different routes with no issues. I have read where others find it heavy to lift in and out of the truck bed. I would too except I remove the hitch plate to lighten the load so that I am lifting two relatively lite pieces instead of one heavy piece. We take the 5th wheel out on the road about every two months so I am happy with how I can separate the two in order to lift them in or out of the truck bed.Extremely easy to install, less than 5 minutes. I am totally satisfied with this product.

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

My Reese Elite 5th wheel hitch arrived UPS. 143lbs and used a hand dolly to take off the truck and wheel to my garage. Came packaged ok. Pre-assembled and everything was included. Read the Manual, which for older people helps, showing lube and parts, install info etc...referring back to the manual/instructions. Used a wooden table(same height as my tailgate) to wheel it right up to the gate and slid the hitch on a piece of cardboard(from the box) into the position of the puck system. Moving the base first then the hitch plate next. The hitch install was simple and easy. Did not need any help. I did call customer service and made a slight 1/4 turn adjustment to two legs for a tighter fit. There again referring to the manual/instructions provided with the hitch. Very pleased with the hitch over all. It served its purpose and I believe will give us many years of service. We pull a 5th wheel gvwr of 11769lbs and completed over 1200 miles of safe towing. Pleased with my purchase. Thank you. 159385

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

I recently purchased a 2016 Ram 3500 with 5th wheel tow package already present on truck. I wanted an additional goose neck product and looked at various suppliers online and found etrailer products offered for sale. After to speaking with Heather who answered all my questions as well as reviewed feedback from customers I chose to go with the Reese gooseneck kit. I received the product within the shipping date provided to me and I went out to install it. It took me all of 3 mins to install with no issues. I did my best to remove, shake and couldn't get them to budge. It took me a total of 5 mins to remove the parts and storing them back under the rear seat. The parts fit perfect, look great as well as we're the cheapest price I could find. Their online video is all the install instructions you need! I will definitely use etrailer in the future. Thanks Heather! 296158

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

I have installed this hitch 4 times. It is a solid piece. With a little care in the mounting adjustments, there are no rattles or noises, even when the camper is not connected. The only problem I have is the instructions indicated drilling 4 3" inch holes in the bed. A 2 1/4" set of holes is more appropriate. They leave too much room for installation error. I mount the rails below and use a pointed bolt from the bottom to mark the hole location to drill the bed. Other than that - I think this is a great hitch. 125537

Fantastic! I would recommend this hitch to anyone who wants a quality product.

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

I have owned B&W, Curt and Reese Hitches for 5th wheel trailers. When I recently purchased a toy hauler I needed a heavy duty hitch for the 20,000# load. I decided to spend the extra money and get the Reese because of previous good experience and fitting the installed pucks in my F350. The Reese felt very light when I unpacked it. The parts are all made in China or Mexico. Assembly and installation took 25 min. The release mechanism feels cheap. It is difficult to make sure the pin is fully seated in the hitch. 2x it looked seated and I was able to install the locking pin and the trailer came out of the hitch! I always do a test pull in forward and reverse before pulling out onto the road. First time it came out I caught it on the test pull, second time it looked good w the test pull but 30' down the driveway it came out and crushed my bedside and tailgate. I would recommend the B &W or Curt before buying the more expensive but inferior Reese. 397426

Still works like new. Plastic cover came off. Double sided tape gave way. Did not hinder the operation, just cosmetics. I would buy again without hesitation.Kudos E Trailer

So far so good. The only problem was finding safety chain hooks that fit the safety hookups. I gave up and used heavy duty d-rings instead.

Purchased for a 2006 Silverado Crew Cab Duramax. Previous owner left the underbed portion of the assembly. The actual ball mount is very easy to install with detailed instructions. Plastic trim on top is sort of cheap with unreliable double sided tape from the manufacturer, which I will have to replace. I would not recommend for lifted trucks as the ball sits approx 6 inches higher than a hideaway turnover type, unless you have that much room to adjust your gooseneck trailer. Other than that, I am pleased. 446119

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

The Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit was perfect fit for my 2014 RAM 3500 with the factory installed gooseneck prep kit. Once it arrived, my wife and I had no problem installing and removing any of the components from the kit. Being able to put all parts in the handy carrying bag is a bonus to. As for etrailer.com, delivery was faster than expected and much appreciated. The video and reviews on the website for this product (not to mention the price) were the main reasons why I purchased this product and purchased it from etrailer.com. If I had one con, it would be that ball hitch needs a sleeve to protect it from being dinged or scratched in the carrying bag, but no big deal. Thanks etrailer.com! 178262

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

When the package arrived, I set to opening it, (very well packed). Everything that I ordered was there. Got the Gooseneck adapter figured out and got the kingpin collar installed. After I moved the truck so that I could place the adapter under the fifth wheel assembly the set up was very simple. Setting up the ball and the adapter took me about 1.5 hours to complete. Very good equipment. Would recommend to anyone that wanted to have the versatility in towing options. Sorry, no photos. The reason I went this way was due to the cost of a fifth wheel hitch for the 2016 Ram 3500/ with the pucks per-set in the bed and on the frame this worked out to be a little less expensive to do. 330572

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

This hitch looks well made and thought out. Connecting it to the bed of my Super Duty is a snap with the cam locks. I love how I have a flat bed when it's removed due to the Ford under bed fifth wheel rail kit. I'd buy it again. My only two minor negatives are: 1. It's a heavy beast. Much more than my old hitch. It pushed me to buying an overhead hoist for the garage, which makes putting in and taking out the hitch so much easier. It was a blessing in disguise. 2. The handle isn't easily removable like my old hitch. I bike on my vacations and when driving to the trailhead I put a bike on either side of the hitch. Now I have to keep a ratchet handy to remove the handle. 99373

Review from a similar Reese Elite Series in Fifth Wheel

I have a 2016 Ford F250. My truck didn't come installed with any hitch equipment other than the stock bumper hitch. I insulted Reese Elite Series rails under the bed and have pulled my 5th wheel just fine since. Recently, I purchased a new 5th wheel trailer and the dealer tossed in an Andersen Ultimate Hitch 2. The only problem is that my truck hasn't been equipped with a gooseneck hitch. This product solves that problem, integrates with my current setup, and is incredibly easy to install. Can't wait to test it out on the road this weekend. Here's my current setup: 2016 Ford F250 Air Lift Air Ride System with compressor Reese Elite Rails with Gooseneck Hitch Kit 448210

He had a need of it on a particular day to leave with his business trailer across country. Wonderful experience. The Reese Elite Pop-in Ball and Safety Chain Attachment was exactly what I needed to adapt a gooseneck trailer to my 2011 F350 Super Duty. Designed specifically for mating with the factory installed fifth wheel and gooseneck mating plate that came with my vehicle, the Elite Pop-in Ball and Safety Chain Attachment requires no welding or bolt installation. The entire kit can be installed and removed in less than (1) minute. It is a well made product that has met all of my expectations. I will recommend etrailer.com to anyone looking for quality, well priced trailer and trailer accessories. 3262

This adapter is well made, nicely presented and very easy to assemble and install. It allows the Reese SIGNATURE SERIES 5th wheel hitch to double as a standard goose-neck hitch. Once assembled and installed the first time you can easily swap between the above-bed 5th wheel hitch and this goose-neck hitch in less than 5 minutes. The only downside is the steep price for this adapter. And etrailer was very helpful in reviewing their location with respect to mine to determine the exact UPS transit time to get me the hitch quickly but without wasting money on excessive shipping... My Hitch came fully assembled, easy to install in my 2015 Ford F350 with factory rails, A 1 1/2" in box end wrench works great to tighten the puck nuts if you have it, If not the provided wrench works, its just a little difficult due to confined spaces. I had it adjusted and installed in about 30 minutes. Have a little axle and lithumn grease on hand for the installation. The grease cert was a great idea from reese for lubing internal part with out removing the head. A 12'' lube plate is needed if u don't like greasing the head, it just makes things easier. 217592

Since this unit comes fully assembled it was a snap to install in the under bed mounting unit. The only issue I had was how the product was received. Great price for a top quality 5th wheel trailer hitch. There are other similar hitches to this B&W, but this is the best and the same as Ford's OEM one costing much more. Some assembly is required, just fitting to truck bed and locking/pinning the head mounting is required. One thing that is not mentioned on this website is the pre-mount height of head is 15-3/4 high, the most used height for most truck and trailers. 352837

Overall, nice hitch. A little sensitive to "off center" coupling - it likes a very straight and very level shot, despite the advertised wider entry opening. Not happy with the paint on the receiver pate - chipped and rusted easily. Easy to install and remove - comes off in two pieces resulting in lower weight to lift off the bed. Pops into the Ford puck system without problems. 409139

  • Recommended Reese Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2015 Ford F250 With Ford Factory Fifth Wheel Prep Package
  • There are two available alternatives. You can use a 5th wheel hitch that's designed to drop right into the pucks, or you can use an adapter that sits in the pucks and provides industry standard bed rails for a standard 5th wheel hitch to attach to. First the puck mounts. If you have the short bed, you'll want to use a sliding hitch, like the Reese Elite Series Slider, part # RP30144 which will drop right into the pucks. The slider allows the hitch and trailer to slide back further into the truck bed so that you have the needed clearance to make tight turns in parking lot situations.

  • Best Fifth Wheel Hitch for a 2015 Ford F350 Short Bed with Hitch Prep
  • The Reese Elite Series Pre-Assembled 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # RP30144 that you referenced would be the perfect hitch for you to use on your 2015 Ford F350 crew cab short bed. Since you have a short bed you would need a slider to make tight turns, this hitch has a slider. This hitch also has 18,000 lbs of capacity which would be more than enough for your trailer. Although your trailer claims to have a nose that will allow for tight turns without a slider I would still recommend...

  • Is 5th Wheel Slider Hitch Needed for 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty with 6-3/4-foot Bed
  • You can use a sliding hitch like the Reese Elite Series # RP30144 to gain 10-inches of turning clearance. You do not want to install a fixed hitch in your truck unless you have a Sidewinder replacement pin box on your trailer. Please have a look at the linked article for more. Sidewinders are made to replace specific pin box brands and models so you'll need to check for availability of one to replace your trailer pin box by using the included chart. Let's say your trailer has a Lippert...

  • Automatic Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Ram 3500 Short Bed
  • I have a solution for you, but there isn't a way to install the Reese Elite Slider hitch part # RP30144 in the bed of a 2016 Ram. Ram uses their own hitch prep package that is similar to the Elite series hitches but since the pucks are spaced so far apart there is no way to get a standard Elite hitch to fit. I have a great towing solution for you though. I would recommend getting the 2016 Ram without the hitch prep package so that you can install the Demco Hijacker Auto Slide hitch part...

  • Best 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for 2015 Ford F-350 with Factory 5th Wheel Prep Package
  • I will start out by saying that the best trucks for towing 5th wheel trailers are 1-ton long beds. As far as capacity you might want to upgrade to a different trailer in the future so if you have a hitch with a high enough capacity now then you wouldn't have to worry about that later. You could split the different between 16k and 20k and go with an 18k, # RP30142. Or go with a higher capacity but less expensive 20k model such as # C16530-16017 or # BWRVK3300. All of these hitches are...

  • Under-Bed 5th Wheel Kit for a 2013 Ford Super Duty
  • Thank you for sending the pictures. Your truck does not have the under-bed rail kit for the fifth wheel prep package. If you would like to add an under-bed fifth wheel kit to your 2013 Ford Super Duty, you can install the Reese Elite Series Under-Bed Rail Kit, # RP30126. This will provide the 4 pucks in the bed just like the fifth wheel prep package that is offered by Ford. I have attached an installation video for you to check out. For a fifth wheel hitch, you can use the Reese Elite...

  • Does Reese Elite Hitch and Rail Kit plus Sidewinder Weigh Less than Demco Hijacker Setup
  • You are on the right track with your math but you have to also consider that if you are replacing your pin box with a Sidewinder 5th Airborne you would have to subtract the weight of the stock pin box on the trailer as that would get removed. The weight of most 5th airborne Sidewinders is right at 166 lbs and then the weight of a standard pin box is a little under 100 lbs. So you would be gaining only around 60-70 lbs in that regard and not the full weight of the Sidewinder. So by...

  • Reese Elite 18K 5th Wheel Hitch RP30144 and Rail Kit RP30074 Compatibility with a 2011 Dodge Ram
  • The Reese Elite Series Pre-Assembled 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider and Wiring Harness, part # RP30144, and Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit, part # RP30074, would be a very good choice for your 2011 Dodge Ram. On trucks with beds shorter than 8 feet, it is recommended that you install a fifth wheel hitch that has a slider in it to give you additional clearance during tight cornering. I attached an FAQ article below on fifth wheel hitches that you should find informative. I...

  • How to Change the Height of Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30144
  • The center section of the Elite series hitch # RP30144 is bolted to the two leg pieces just below the head. There will be 2 rows of 4 holes on each side. Yours sounds like it is currently in the second from the top set of holes. You need to move it to the next set down to raise the hitch up. Remove the bolts hold on the legs on each side, move the legs down to the desired height, put the bolts back in place. I have included a link to the instructions that will help you. Page 6 has a...
