Designed to work with high-powered roof vents, the FanMate cover offers superior rain protection so that the vent can be opened and the fan can be operated in any weather. The FanMate has a wide vent area that maximizes airflow, preventing heat from building up inside your RV or trailer. EZClip pins make it simple to open or remove the cover for roof vent maintenance. And no drilling is required to install the cover over a MaxxFan or MaxxFan Plus vent.
Designed for High-Powered Vents
This FanMate cover is designed to work with any roof vent that has a high-powered, high-speed fan, including MaxxFan Plus vents and certain MaxxFan Deluxe, Fan-Tastic Vent, and Shurflow vents. The FanMate is also taller than other MaxxAir vent covers so that it can provide increased lid clearance, which allows you to open the dome of your roof vent more.
The wide, louvered vent area at the back of the FanMate means that the cover provides more airflow in and out of your RV or trailer than standard covers. The angled louvers allow smoke, odors, and stale air to escape while keeping rain and debris out.
EZClips Simplify Opening
This FanMate vent cover comes with 4 EZClip pins. These pins enable you to easily open or remove the cover. When the pins are removed from one side, the opposite side acts as a hinge, allowing you unobstructed access to your roof vent for cleaning and maintenance. To secure the cover closed, slide the pins back into the cover and push them up to lock them in place.
Installation
The FanMate vent cover is specifically designed for installation on newer-model MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents. No drilling or tools are required. The integrated mounting brackets on the FanMate perfectly align with the mounting tabs that are molded onto the flange of the roof vent. To install, fit the cover over the roof vent. Then slide the included EZClip pins through the tabs and rotate them up to secure the cover in place.
If you are installing this cover over an older-model MaxxFan roof vent without mounting tabs, no drilling is required and all necessary hardware is included. The MaxxFan roof vent has pre-drilled holes in the side wall that are hidden under plastic plugs. Just remove the plugs and fasten the aluminum brackets to the side wall with the stainless steel screws. Then insert the EZClip pins through the brackets to secure the cover in place.
If you're installing this FanMate cover over any other roof vent, then drilling into the frame of the roof vent may be required. Stainless steel screws, nuts, and washers are included to install the cover. However, if you're installing the cover over a high-powered, high-speed ventilation fan, use the included self-tapping screws to mount the cover instead.
Durable Construction
This vent cover is constructed of durable, high-density polyethylene. Special additives help ensure that the material can resist the negative effects of UV rays. And the cover is translucent so that some natural light can shine through.

This item must have come at the last minute as I was told it was out of stock and wouldn't ship until August. Glad it arrived as it will match the one already on this trailer. Really hard blowing rain did find it's way into the existing one that I should have closed so commons sense should've prevailed.

the vent cover came on time and undamaged. i recommend reading the instructions so you don't make the same mistake as i did. once i followed the well done directions it went together perfectly and fit on maxair fan just right. so far so good. i only gave it 4 stars because i just got it.

I love the remote control feature! The bathroom fan in our 2018 Jayco Greyhawk 31DS was replaced. Now both of us can control the fan. As we travel, it is used to help the flow of air through the RV as we travel.

This is the perfect replacement for the original vent cover, after I installed the MaxxAir fans on my unit. The prior vent covers were not tall enough to allow the MaxxAir vents to open fully. Easy replacement and even used the prior installed mounting hardware, So, literally this was "take 4 clips out, remove old cover, install new cover, and insert clips"

Easy to install initially and it can easily be removed as needed. After quite a few trips at highway speed being left in place there has been no distortion or issues of any sort so it seems rock solid. It's also been through heavy rain with no leaks. Great addition to our teardrop!

This cover is great for the maxxair fan. I've had one in the past on another trailer and they last a long time. I am disappointed that Maxxair has not updated the design to make this cover impenetrable from wasps, dirt dobbers, etc. I had to put a screen on the back of this to correct this problem. Would have gotten an excellent rating if they would correct this problem.

This production fit my maxx air perfectly. Install was a snap just had to clean the mounting tabs and put the pins in . Probably the best thing was price and quick shipping from etrailer they have a cool tracking process too!

I originally ordered the MaxxAir Vent cover. This one was for non MaxxAir Fans. Completely my fault on not reading the description more closely. This MaxxAir FanMate is made to attach to the MaxxAir Fans with a simple clip (no drilling).
One thing to consider. Your MaxxAir fan lid will open up further without the MaxxAir FanMate cover. When I installed the MaxxAir FanMate cover, the fan lid will hit the top of the cover, but the MaxxAir Fan will still operate without any issues.
It's peace of mind that I can now run the fans when it rains and they will stay on, without the rain sensor turning them off.
Looking back, I would possibly have considered getting the Smoke color, not the Black, just to let in a bit more light.
