This motorized pump can be used as a direct replacement for any OEM RV or marine pump and lets you supply a smooth, consistent flow to the fresh water system in your RV, camper, or boat. The diaphragm-style pump has a self-priming design. The sealed, flexible diaphragm creates a vacuum that draws in the water, allowing the pump to self-prime. This design eliminates air pockets in the pipeline - also known as air binding - for a steady, uninterrupted stream of water to your faucet or other fresh water source. It has the ability to prime up to 6' vertically and 30' horizontally. The pump also features an internal check valve that prevents backflow contamination of your clean water supply.
The pump has been thoroughly freeze and thaw tested for up to 5 two-hour cycles, and it was tested with a higher pressure at shutoff than other water pumps.
The heavy-duty motor operates quietly without any disturbances and features ball bearings that enable it to have a long life. It doesn't have a rotating seal that will burn up, allowing it the ability to run dry without causing any damage.
The motor also has an integrated thermal breaker that interrupts operation when the motor becomes too hot in order to protect it from overheating. When the temperature of the motor drops, the breaker automatically resets.
This enclosed, water-resistant pump has sealed switches that keep moisture from getting in. The electrocoating finish withstands the effects of rain, snow, and other elements, preventing rust and ensuring long-lasting durability.
This water pump can be bolted down in multiple locations and positions. It can be installed above, below, or at the same level as the water tank, as long as the location is dry and easily accessible for maintenance. Mounting hardware is not included.
Once the pump is bolted down, insert the strainer on the inlet side. This strainer prevents bugs and debris from entering the pump. Then with the included swivel fittings, attach high-pressure hoses to the strainer and the outlet port for a tapered, watertight seal.
Finally, make your wire connections. The black wire is your live (or hotwire), the white wire is your neutral, and the green and yellow wire is your ground. Please note that a 15 amp switch and a 10 amp fuse (not included) are required.

Works well, but the power draw will dim your lights or lessen voltage on other circuits on the converter while running. Water flow is great and is relatively quiet compared to other pumps.
We don’t use our water pump often but this unit is definitely more quiet than the original. Installation was straight forward and pump has worked well each time we’ve needed it.
Original unit lasted 14 years which is amazing so if this one lasts half as long I’ll be happy.
I am very disappointed that I paid for 3-day shipping and it took 6 days to arrive. There are lots of options to shop today, and unfortunately, you cannot count on etrailer if you need a product quickly.
As with other products I have ordered from etrailer, the pump was an exact fit and included everything I needed to replace the old pump. It's been working just fine. As usual, I am very happy with the service from etrailer. It's my go-to place for RV parts.
I bought this to replace our 17 year old OEM Shurflo in our small pop-up camper. This little pump was an easy installation, and after a season of use is still unbelievably quiet in operation compared to the Shurflo. It works great.
Was easy to replace and is much quieter than the old one. Sofar after a year of constant use, it still works wonderfully.

The pump I originally had has been discontinued and this one was recommended hardly any modifications and it fits like a glove. Sorry I haven’t been out to test the pump more that a few minutes. But service was great.
Hi! The Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump we bought a year ago was easy to install. It was a direct replacement for the leaky, antiquated pump it replaced. After a year it still works even after the water froze. Thank you for an excellent product.

Pump is great, turns out there was stuff in the tank that was causing the problem. All good now
I first replaced the water pump with a shurflow pump. Very noisy junk. Etrailer said this pump would work. Installed last night, very quiet direct installation, constant pressure. Excellent replacement pump. I do have a pressure tank installed with pump, can't hear it at all. This was replacement for shurflow 2088 403 144.

I believe this is an excellent replacement pump for our RV. To be honest, it came in the mail just today, so it is not yet installed, but everything I've read about this pump it should be just what we need.
Couldn't have been easier to swap out this new water pump for the old one in my 1996 Jamboree Sport without a hitch. Superior pumping performance than the old burnt out Sure flo 2088-403-144 that it replaced. I chose this pump because the 45psi pressure matched my old one and is what my system was designed to operate at most efficiently by it's engineers. The flow rate of this pump is slightly higher but seems the same in actual use. It draws slightly less amperage which is always nice as the battery lasts a little longer. This unit is almost silent in comparison to the old pump yet it keeps the system pumped up better. It doesn't even run constantly when I wash my hands like the old one did. It bolted right up and connected to the old hardware although I actually cut off the old brass 90º screw on connecters and installed a new pex 90º connecters because the 24 year old brass fittings were so corroded and the seal so dried out and compressed that I didn't want to take chances on it leaking and wanted the best, most reliable install possible. I am extremely satisfied and very happy with the initial functionality and quality of this water pump and would recommend it to anybody with a 45psi motorhome water system. I am now ready for many more years of happy camping.
Richard S - 03/30/2021The Flow-Max was a shoe in for the old Shurflo pump which failed after eight years. I was very happy with that and it arrived in a nick of time. It also is much quieter the the Shurflo.
This Flow Max pump is a spare and the second Flow Max pump that I purchased. I don't ever camp in parks or ever hook up so if there ever is a failure I have a replacement.
This model did replace The surflow brand as promised, however it is noisy... and water pressure is not what the previous pressure was. Hubby says he will secure it more and this should illuminate some of the vibration noise. Bottom line yes I would use product again if needed. I would have given three stars but hubby asked four. In any case they no longer make our model I’m sure flow and this one does replace it. Thank you for being there, God bless.
I was pleased with this replacement for my original sureflo 2088-422-144. Once I was able to get to it in my camper, the switch went smooth and so far water pressure has been good. Not much difference noticed in the noise thus far but overall I am pleased with the purchase. I did not use the filter device which may impact some of that.

We have not had a chance to use the coach a lot this past year but the water pump is working fine. We do plan to use it more this year starting with 2 weeks here in January.
