Installation was fairly easy, haven’t towed with bike installed yet, however the bike is very secure and was easy to put on rack. If you want a secure way to haul bikes this is the product for you. Just be sure and measure the height of your jack(top of trailer tongue to top of jack) so you order the proper one, Jack-it has 18.5” clearance and Jack-it 2 has 22.5” clearance for trailer jack. 700120

The dimensions provided on the etrailer pictures enabled me to determine that the rack would fit on my teardrop trailer before I ordered it. The shipment came quickly and the installation instructions were good. Construction of the rack appears to be high quality. The rack holds the bike securely and works well for my trailer. 574846

Looked around a lot before I found this for my A-Liner. Installs easily and seems very solid. Have not used it yet, but from what I see so far I think it will be a very useful product. I did not want to use a double-hitch, since that lowers the towing capacity. Nor did I want to use one of those temporary bike racks, since they always seem to mar the finish. I also like that this keeps the bike between my tow vehicle and the trailer, protecting it from debris and keeping it in sight. Moving west from Boston next summer, and this seems the best way to protect my "baby" on the way. I'd give it five stars but I haven't used it yet.. 710692

Easy install, everything in the box except for tools. The unit does flex some going down the road but once you snug up the bikes it moves as one unit, bikes do not rub or move against anything. Bikes and mount are out of the way of accessing our tongue storage box too. So far please with this device. It has filled a need that we have been wanting to address for a while, that is, how to take bikes camping without just piling them in the back of the truck. The negatives, the two large keeper pins are worthless! They do do not fit and will fall off easily. Maybe the wrong size??? 515951

Received the Jack It Bike Rack and installation was a breeze. I love the fact that all that unused space in front of our travel trailer now has a very practical purpose. Loaded up our bikes, ready to get on the road and go camping. 664457

Not too hard to install. The biggest challenge was tweaking the fit to each bike. I would recommend this for trailers that have no other option for bike racks. You can view the bikes out the back window to see how they are traveling. 657932

I mounted this rack on my 17’ Casita trailer. I, and my son, have used it to carry our street bikes on short campouts and on a 3 month winter excursion to the Southwest. It is quite sturdy, well engineered, quality parts, easy to assemble, and stoutly secures bikes. Only two caveats for my use: First, I had to replace my power tongue jack because it was an inch too tall to fit the rack over. Jack was due for replacement anyway, but I should have thought that thru before buying the rack. Second, due to my age and weak shoulders, lifting even my light road bike up on rack is awkward and a bit painful. Don't think I could manage a heavier bike. Product is excellent - body needs some work 900833

I would have liked to have a shorter tower, my wife is 70 I am 66 the rack is higher then need be for us to mount the bikes comfortably. I tried to order the shorter tower, they would no work with me on the request, they wanted me to purchase a complete unit, not sell me the part. Aside from that it takes time getting use to loading and unloading the bikes, however practice make it easier. 896873

This was incredibly easy to install. I do wish it had better pictures in the instructions, but overall they did a good job of explaining what needed to be done. The rack itself worked great on our first trip! As mentioned in the video, it does move a little bit going down the road, but wasn't anything to worry about. We did only take a child's bike, so not sure about adding a second one on there. I do recommend following their advice on how hard to pull the straps around the wheels, as it makes the bike feel more secure. We look forward to continue using it on future trips! 891938

The concept is great though if I didn't have the video it would have been very difficult to assemble, even with good photos provided - too bad the video does not have narration. The product seems solid - fits two standard bikes very well. PRO tip: measure from top/center of both tires then see which holes line-up to that distance to set the carrier brackets. 884044

The rack did NOT include instructions. I had to watch various youtube videos to get the gist of it. I like the rack and recommend it. 881352

Rock Solid!! After some less than successful attempts at hauling our bikes behind our camping trailer on a traditional bike rack, we ordered and installed a Lippert “Jack It” bike rack on the front tongue of the trailer. It bolts solidly and securely sandwiched between the trailer and the tongue jack. We have been thoroughly pleased with both the high quality of the rack and it’s solid performance! The bikes hang by the wheels on hooks with locking straps on top, and are further stabilized by anti sway bars also strapped to the bike. Multiple mounting holes in the “wings” provide ample options suitable for most bikes. The “Jack it” is suitable for both standard and and step through style frames as bikes are suspended by the wheels and not the frame. Loading the bikes is not difficult (do the rear one first) and rest easy as your bikes are always in sight! We also ordered a Lippert accessory, the “Bump It,” which allows you to transfer the “wings” section of the “Jack It” to your tow vehicle after your arrival. It’s a great way to expand your biking options at your destination! 875411

Product is well made. Installs quite easily. Everything seemed to fit perfect for my trailer. However, I have a bowed window on the front of my travel trailer, and find the bikes too close to the window to use in the preferred position. Wish the rack was straight, rather than at a slant. 874491

With a 1966 Aistream, we were limited on our options on how to travel with our bikes. Rear bumper mounts were not an option due to the risk of trailer separation and the airstream rear mount would need to be retrofitted since it was designed for their modern trailers. It was also very $$$. When I came across this bike carrier that mounts under the jack, it looked promising but I still wasn’t sure I had enough space to clear the peddle and handle bars on the inboard bike. I finally pulled the trigger and figured I could have a fabricator make the necessary adjustments if needed. It fit perfectly with no modifications necessary and had at least 6” of clearance between the trailer and inboard bike. What is even more impressive is the team at eTrailer. I originally bought this from a competitor who said they had it in stock but after 13 days of not shipping and a big trip coming up, I canceled my order with them, placed it with eTrailer. I did pay for 2 day shipping but it was worth it because my relic of a trailer uses a different thread pitch for its mount bolts. No longer packing the bikes in the trailer Is a game changer!!! 871578

As usual, this product from eTrailer.com was exactly as advertised, and works very well. The Jack-It 2 bike rack took only minutes to install onto the front of my travel trailer, and holds two bikes securely and safely. I have yet to drive the trailer with the bikes attached, but with the secure straps that even lock the wheels in place, I foresee no problems with it. It does what it's supposed to do. Some nice features include the ability to quickly and easily remove the two "wings" with the locking pins so that only the supporting frame remains in place when not in use. If you have the correct trailer for its application, there is enough clearance for the propane tank(s) and between the jack and the trailer. The bolts that hold it together are also pinned with cotter pins for extra safety, and can also be used with a customer-supplied 1/4" lock instead for added security from theft. Installation requires removal of the jack and using the three supplied screws and washers in place of the original, but the directions do not mention that you must mount your trailer onto the tow vehicle hitch (or support the tongue some other way) since you will be removing the jack). This seems obvious, but I thought I'd mention it for those in a hurry who may forget that important step or if you've never done this before. It comes with two extra swing stop pegs to optionally lock both wheels in place, and I went ahead and used all of them. For my 2019 R-Pod, the wires that supply power to the electric jack were just long enough to allow removal and re-installation if you slide the bottom wire zip-tie up the jack tube - no need to cut the ties. Install the electric jack through the front of the Jack-It frame, not the back so you can clear the power jack head. Then reinsert through the hole in your tongue. As other reviews mention, adjusting two bikes for proper fit was the biggest challenge. 866445

by:

Delivery took a long time but item was finally shipped after I sent an email. The bike rack is great for our bikes on the front of our trailer. The install would have been easy had it not been for the power tongue jack wires that had to be disconnected to get the jack off to put the power tower under it. We were hot and tired after the install so haven't loaded the bikes yet. It looks like there's plenty of space between rack and trailer front though for the bike pedals and such. Hopefully this will be easier than trying to load bikes in short bed truck. 861520

Excellent product I would recommend it to anyone considering bringing bicycles along for the weekend while camping 849855

- LC429756
by:

This rack is as good as it looks. I wish there was a more robust "pin" to hold the bike tires but it looks more than adequate for the purpose. I will probably want to add a few more straps and pads for traveling so there is less movement, and so my wheels don't get scuffed up. I will share pictures when I get that assembled and tested. I would provide additional stabilization to any bike rack. So, that does not impact my rating. 847474

Product is excellent. Solid design and well made. On my RV, this was the only way I could carry bicycles. As older adults, it is difficult for us to raise bikes up to mount on the bike rack. 844326

  • Trailer Tongue Mounted Hitch Bike Rack Compatible with Electric Jack
Thanks for the photo of your Keystone Passport Grand Touring 2670BHWE. I can confirm based on your jack that the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack # LC429756 will work only if your jack is less than 7-3/8 inches wide at the base or the housing and it would also need to be under 22-1/2 inches from the base to the top of the housing. If those measurements work then you will simply need to either remove the jack and fit the Jack-It frame over it or remove the motor from the shank on your jack to install...

The Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers part # LC429756 comes with two threaded hitch pin bolts which will work to reduce rattle and vibrations so you don't need to purchase any extra devices as this feature is already built-in. I have attached a photo for you which shows the two threaded hitch pin bolts. • Bike Rack Compatible with A-Frame on a 2019 Rockwood Mini
The Jack-It 2 Bike Rack for A-Frame Trailers # LC429756 unfortunately is not designed to be used in any other way and there aren't any other adapters for it except for the Bump-It Hitch Receiver Adapter for Jack-It 2 Bike Rack # LC723359 to allow the use of a normal trailer hitch receiver that is either 1-1/4 inches or 2 inches. This is very similar to the Yakima Ridgeback part # Y02457 that you mentioned too.
