Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a quick look at the single axle trailer fender. This helps to protect other drivers from any rocks or mud or anything getting slung up at them. It also helps to protect the gear on your trailer from the same. You don't have to worry about any debris getting deflected or slung up underneath those tires onto your equipment, your vehicles, or anything else that you might be towing on your trailer.This is a slant back design.
A lot of times these will be used on a marine style trailer or a boat trailer. It should match up with the side of your trailer. As you can see, it's going to have a little bit of a taper at the bottom compared to the top. It's just a little bit more flared down here than it is up at the top or the apex of that fender. It is made out of a 16 gauge electro polished stainless steel.
It looks really nice and shiny, pretty much rustproof as well. It does have a PVC coating on it to protect it from any kind of scratches.It is a weld on or bolt-on installation. It does not have any pre-drilled holes, although there are a couple holes here. There's one at the very top. Then two on either side.
You might not end up being able to use those though. You might have to drill more holes into that to actually get it installed. The mounting brackets for a bolt-on installation would be sold separately, but you can also weld it as well.The outer edge here does have a one inch diameter curved radius, so it gives it a nice finished look. The length from outside edge to outside edge of our fender is 30 inches. Then it stands 13 inches tall.
It does just come as a single fender, so you'll need to get one for either side. It weighs about eight pounds. It's covered by a one-year limited warranty, and it is made in the USA.That really about does it for our look at the single axle trailer fender. Very disappointed in the attachment of backing plates. Two fenders should be mirror image of each other. Apparently an alignment jig is not used in production. This makes for difficult and different mounting from each side.

It is exactly as described except for the ends which both have a slight bow in them. I am not using this for a trailer and need the shape and size as close to perfect as possible. Hopefully my straightening skills will be up to par. Every other part of this transaction was excellent.

I bought two of these fenders to replace the fenders on my boat trailer that had rotted away. These fenders fit better than the original fenders that came with the boat. I bolted these fenders on after priming and painting them to match the trailer frame. I shopped around and etrailer had a great price compared to other vendors who were selling the exact same item. I have bought many items over the years from etrailer and have always been pleased with their products and quality.

The fender was good quality & it seemed priced right.
The standard shipping was pretty quick. Only 3 days from ordering. And pretty much across the nation.
The packaging was a little lacking. Put in a box with no packing. Slight dented. But not enough to call them. Although one of the fenders I ordered a few years ago had to be sent back.
All in all … a great company to deal with!

Bought for a jetski trailer. They fit over the tires and into that mounts that were preexisting perfectly. Just had to drill 4 holes in each to through bolt. 1 year later and they’re still shiny and in great shape.

These Trailer Fenders are a quality product which are "rust free". It's hard to find an 8" rust free wheel fender on-line. All stainless steel fenders listed on line require you to paint them so they will not rust. This is because since they were stamped/pressed via large machine press at the manufacturing plant, using a flat sheet of stainless steel. When the sheet is pressed it's damaged and will rust.

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience working with etrailer.com has been exceptional! I like dealing with a company that has a real human being answer their phone and etrailer does that. I had ordered the wrong parts for a trailer and dreaded the return activities. Sharon O was very helpful and got the replacement parts sent out the same day we talked. She also sent me a pdf that I was able to print and use as a UPS label to return the wrong parts I had ordered. All I had to do was take the package to a UPS office. Tire blew on Interstate, took original fender with it. Original was 9" deep, all I could find for replacement were 10" deep, so I replaced both. Install was easy, measure twice, screw once!
