A vent cover encloses your RV's roof vent, to protect it from the elements. The cover blocks rain and snow from getting inside your RV through the vent. This way, you can leave your vent open in bad weather. The cover also protects the vent and its lid from wind damage, so you can leave the vent open even while driving the RV on the highway.
The grille at the back of the cover blocks animals and tree branches while allowing air to flow through. This is true of any vent cover, but the design of the grille can make a difference in the amount of airflow.
Unlike covers that have flat, slanted louvers that can block airflow, the Ultra Breeze grille has wing-shaped louvers. This patent-pending design allows 95 to 100 percent of available airflow through its grille. So you can cover your vent without sacrificing air circulation. The grille is also easily removable for cleaning.
This cover fits over all Fan-Tastic Vent trailer roof vents as well as many other standard and high-powered roof vents that require a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening in the roof.
If your existing vent is screwed onto your roof, you will not need to drill holes to install this cover. Simply use the existing screws on each side of your vent and some caulk to attach the 4 mounting brackets included with the Ultra Breeze. Then secure the cover to the brackets with the included hardware.

Easy to install easy to take off for maintenance fit perfectly for the fantastic fans don't think I'll ever have a problem with these covers
David - 02/01/2022shipping was fast but packing could be better, sleeping area in my RV was to bright so I installed a black vent cover to help with the light, works good, install was easy.
Claude M - 03/28/2022This vent cover fit well over my Fan-Tastic Fan. Install was easy and the black color helps provide darkening in our motorhome. Our fan is near the front bunk so it is nice to keep the morning sunshine out if the kids want to sleep in. The quality of the vent covers seems good and it has held up well to the elements for over a year now.
Ordering the Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Roof Vent was a breeze (no pun intended). They arrived when they said they would and the assembly and installation was straight forward. It took just over an hour to install all three vent covers. I installed the vent covers to be able to use the roof vents in all weather conditions without damaging the fans. I forgot to take photos after finishing but they look great and function properly. This is not the first thing I order from etrailer and pretty sure it won't be the last. Thanks for reliable products and service.
First of all shipping was fast. When I removed them out of the box they are solid heavy duty Plastic. We just purchased a 2008 Fleetwood Revolution LE 42K and this was one of my first projects. I first coated the original Fan-tastic vent covers with Coasta Coat to refresh it and preserve it. Great stuff for oxidized RV sides also. I installed all 3 in about 45 minutes. The old sealer was still soft even after 8 years and was easy to cut and remove just enough to expose the front & second 1/4 inch hex head bolts. Using quality roofing sealer I placed it over the cut out and used the longer screws Fan-tastic provided with the kit then a little more sealer to cover the head. It took about 15 minutes for each vent as I have 3 of them. I used a little sealer on the holding pins also to insure they never slide out. Easily removed if needed. This is my third Motor Home installation. I used another cheaper brand on my other 2005 5th wheel and 2000 Damon MH over the last 8 years. These look fantastic as well as very practical and adds extra security and protection to the original vents. I Highly recommended them for their own vents and etrailer had the best price found. One concern I had is the vents are on an automatic switch that raises the original vents to about 12 inches high. The Fan-tsatic vents automatically stopped with no problems when they maxed out without damaging the motor or the vent. I had a concern about that as some cheaper ones are lower in height than this one which is made for their vents. I was afraid they would burn or or damage the vent or the motor. No problems.
We bought this cover for a Fan-Tastic Vent we installed for the bedroom of our travel trailer. Key benefits: 1. We can operate the fan in the rain 2. We can operate the fan while driving 3. The dark cover reduces morning light in the bedroom, allowing us to sleep longer 4. The cover protects the fan lid from UV degradation. Installation was very simple when done at the same time as the fan, but we also installed the white version of this product over the pre-installed bathroom and even that was straightforward.
I give it 5 stars only because I never had the chance to use them I bought a Lemon of a trailer. Finally was able to sell it. Not fair of me to review any lower due to someone else ripping me off.
Keeps the rain out. Glad it is up on the roof and not in a highly visible area. Covers are significantly scratched. Packaging doesn’t protect the cover from scratching. Covers shows splay marks around the gate area of the part. This tells me the plastic material was not properly dried before molding. Functional part …just not cosmetically pleasing.

I received my Fan- Tastic and bug screen from etrailer very quickly and in excellent condition. I have done the installation & it went great. It was very helpful for me to watch a few how to videos from etrailer & others on the installation procedure. On my Class b camper van this vent cover is just a necessity. You really need a way to vent the coach when it is raining or while cooking. It was a perfect fit for my Fan- Tastic fan. Greatly recommend.
Patrick H - 06/25/2021I purchased a used/returned vent cover to replace one lost recently. As advertised, it had minimal use and was in great shape. It unfortunately did not come with any fasteners that the new one would have come with, but it should mount up easily enough with hardware I have lying around the house and, as it was being sold as a used item, was about $xx cheaper than a new one.

This vent cover was easy to install on our Basecamp trailer. It’s nice to be able to leave the vent open in the rain.
Installation was easy. Fan works. Nice breeze!
I accepted this cover as a substitute for the Maxx-Air that was out of stock, because the video made it look easy to install. Both claim you do not have to drill into the roof to install. This is true, but to install this cover, you have to find and remove 4 screws holding the vent fan housing to the roof. Finding these screws was not easy on my Grand Design Image trailer as they used recessed screws which I could not feel through the sealant. I had to remove long strips of sealant to find the screws on one side, which made it easier to find them on the 2nd side. I also removed the sealant that extended out over the roofing so the hold down clips would lie flat.
I was very disappointed. The covers, shell only, arrived with all the hardware and grates/screens missing. I had to call to get the missing parts and the lady I spoke with said that they were not part of the order. She had to go through the parts to see that they actually should have been included. Finally she put in a supplemental order to have those missing items shipped. Not yet received so I don't know if it was accurate or not.

I have used these to cover a Fantastic Fan on a previous RV that I just recently traded for a newer model. They allow you to keep the vent open during any kind of weather and while traveling. They do prevent the fan's integrated cover from completely opening but only by a small amount. They are easy to install with minimal tools required. The only issue I have is that the two I received arrived slightly scuffed because they were packaged together without any protection between the two or the cardboard packaging. The scuffs will not be noticed once installed.
Arctic F - 08/14/2020Fit fan-tastic fan perfeckiy. had local rv dealer install only because hart meds make me dizzy. Was missing one set of hardware etrailer sent them wright out to them. The Rv dealer like these so much they going to get them from etrailer for there customers.
Purchased 3 of these for my Fusion Toy Hauler. They were very easy to install and they allow the vent to open fully. They matched the existing black air conditioner covers very well. Seem to be very durable....Time will tell. Made in the USA!
I really like the shape and air outlet design. Very heavy/thick material for durability. This is solid black plastic cover and has NO transparency. The only light is reflected light through the opening, would be nice in a semi-transparent color. It will allow me to keep that vent open in rainy conditions which is the main reason I ordered it.
Arrived in good condition but need to install them to ensure they fit and function correctly

Came scratched up, no big deal because it's going on the roof but you can see a pretty good scratch from the ground, ordered a Big Foot decal to cover the scratch up.
Sierra K - 09/21/2021We installed this roof vent so we could lift up the lid to our electric ceiling air vent all of the way. Our previous vent cover did not allow this. This roof vent works great, and we like the darker color filtering the sunlight.
