Unique offset design guarantees superior performance.This is really going to save steps and my shins. It took 8 months to recieve this part due to being back ordered from the manufacturer. Installation took around 3 hours and other than drilling 16, 1/2" holes, was easy. The delivery company was brutal with the package delivery, the box was broke open and the hinge pin was left out when box was taped closed. Ed W. Jumped on replacing it without hesitation and it should be here soon. Thanks Ed and Bailey B. For being on top of things so professionally.

I actually ordered this like 4 months earlier online and was constantly told it was on back order from a different company. I cancelled order and ordered from ETRAILER and it was shipped within 24hrs and arrived just a couple days later. Everything arrived as ordered and will be mounting in the next week.

The Fulton Fold-Away Hinge Kit Folding Tongue which I purchased for my pontoon boat trailer was recommended by a local trailer supplier. My trailer tongue was three feet too long to fit into the storage unit I used for the trailer and I needed a way to shorten the trailer without making major changes. The Hinge Kit was the answer and the only difficult part was cutting the steel trailer tongue so that I could attach the hinge. I was very impressed with the kit and the way the instructions led me step by step with the installation.
The job took about four hours and the finished product allowed me to fold back the tongue once the trailer was in the storage unit without any difficulty.
Denny H - 08/24/2020This is an excellent item that gives me an extra 2 feet in the garage which is a big deal in my cramped space. Straight forward installation was no problem just make sure your holes are drilled correctly. They do include a drill punch with the kit which makes marking the drill points a snap! Haven't towed yet but looks stout enough to have no problems. Thank you!

This is the second Fulton swing tongue I have installed on a boat trailer. I installed one on a 3x3 tongue about 10 yrs ago and have towed that boat between MI and FL each year with no issues. Installed the 3x5 model on a new boat trailer 2 days ago. This trailer tongue was much thicker steel and was more difficult to cut and drill. The only issue encountered was the corners of the interior channel of tongue were slightly rounded. The holes for the bolts were close to sides of tongue and nuts with built in washers did not want to seat flat against steel due to that. This was fixed by grinding off the washer part of nut on one side and putting that part against the tongue sidewall. It was just a little more work. They tongue hinges are great to enable you to put your boat on the garage and still walk around it. Highly recommended!

Shipping was fast, a real quality product. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy, I found this very easy to install by myself with a few simple jigs. The hardest part was pulling the brake line forward to flare it and finding someone to make up a flexible line. I would recommend this product.

Used sawsall to cut 3x5 tounge on Shorelander trailer with very good success. This is a great product. The extra room with the folding tongue, makes putting away the boat much simpler. When I was installing it, my cut on the tongue wasn't perfectly straight, but it was not a problem, the way the product is designed. I would recommend this over weld on conversions.
my boat is a tool for fishing . one problem with anything and it gets replaced. this product goes on all of my boat trailers.
