Today we're going to take a look at this Duracell six volt, 12 volt AC to DC battery charger and maintainer.Now this is a nice compact smart charger, which will draw power from your wall outlet to charge and maintain a six volt or 12 volt battery on your car, your truck, your boat, or your motorcycle. It is an AC to DC smart charger, which will quickly charge and maintain a six volt or 12 volt battery.It is compatible with lead acid and lithium-ion batteries. And it does offer voltage detection, which will automatically select the correct charging voltage. Does offer automatic multi-stage charging, which will switch modes as the battery charges to help extend the battery life.

Also, protects from harmful overcharging.Does use a built-in safety feature to protect your battery, includes output charts, over-temperature and overcharged protection. And it does give you battery reconditioning, which will automatically repair any damage batteries and the results may vary depending on the battery cell damage.Also on this, it has led lights which will monitor your battery charging process, your battery type, the charge level and fault conditions. And it easily connects to your battery using either the quick connect cables like this or the ring terminals like this one.The quick connect clamps will fit any battery type. You can see it has the two positive and negative clamps and the cord itself is about 14 inches long. Now the ring terminal cord that is mainly for a permanent installation, you can attach this permanently to the battery and then you just have your plug here that you can take off the cap and then plug it in anytime your battery needs to be charged or maintained.

And the length of that is about 18 inches.Also, includes four long Phillips head screws to mounting it, for installing it, if you prefer. And it does come with a nice set of instructions on how it all operates. It is IP65 Waterproof 00:01:58 Construction, so it does stand up against sea elements.A few specs on this, the application we mentioned that works on six volt and 12 volt batteries. The battery types that are worked with is lead acid, AGM, GEL, and lithium-ion. Now the AC cord length on this end is 48 inches.

The DC output cable is 48 inches also.Maximum charging amperage six. If you do six volt battery is one amp, a 12 volt battery will be two amps. Input voltage is a 100 volts to 240 volts AC. Weight on this unit is only about one and a half pounds.I'm going to give you some measurements and I just want to plug it in to show you a few features on it. But the length of this is going to be meant to end just under seven inches, about six and seven eighths inches long.

The width on it at the widest point, which is going to be right at the end here, it's going to be about three and five sixteenths inches wide. And the overall height of it is only about one and a half inches tall.So what I'm going to do is let's go ahead and plug this into AC. And then you can see when you plug it in. I am going to zoom in a little bit here just so we can see it better. If you'd noticed, when I plugged it in the green light power light comes on.And again, if you're going to charge or maintain a lithium-ion battery, you do have to push this button right down here that says lithium-ion, press and hold. So if you just press and hold that you notice that it clicks on, it says, it's now set up for lithium-ion and it's 12 volt right up at the top. And then if you're not doing a lithium-ion just hold it and it turns it off.And also up at the top, you'll notice it says six volt and 12 volt. This button here, if you just hold it down, that's for 12 volt. If you want to switch it, hold it a little bit longer and it goes to a six volt.And then there's four lights here. You'll see it says 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. That's giving you your charge level that you're hooked up to the battery. Let you know what level it's at.But again, we'll go ahead and disconnect that and zoom back out.
