This coupler connects (2) 1-1/2" diameter sewer system pipes in your RV or motorhome. Simply slide the pipes into either side of the coupler and secure with ABS solvent bond (A05-0303 - sold separately).

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra DWV straight coupler fitting. This unit is made from a durable ABS plastic construction. DWV stands for drain waste and ventilation. The fitting would get installed in an RV sewer drain system that's going to use inch and a half pipes. Simply allows you to connect 2 pipes together. The pipes would actually go inside of this fitting and then there's a small divider in there to keep the pipes from contacting each other so that provides a stopping point when sliding the pipe inside of a coupler fitting.
The opening on each side is going to be the same at about 1 and 7/8 of an inch and then the overall length is going to measure an inch and a half. This is listed by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, also known as IAPMO. That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra DWV straight coupler fitting.

- What Size Straight Coupler is Needed for Repairing RV Sewer System with 1-1/2-Inch PipesWe do have a straight coupler that connects 1-1/2 inch diameter pipes, # D50-2933. This coupler does not slide inside the pipes, but rather slides over the pipes to connect them. The connection can be secured with ABS solvent bond, sold separately, # A05-0303.
