Lighted guide-on posts make it easy to load your boat onto your trailer and safer to transport it at night. They attach to the rear of your trailer and extend out of the water, providing visual targets to center the boat between during loading.

Note: Check with your state Department of Transportation for restrictions regarding maximum trailer width.
When your boat trailer has been backed down the ramp and is partially submerged, these 60" tall guideposts that are mounted at the rear corners of the frame will stick out of the water, giving you two highly visible targets to guide your boat between for loading. The built-in LED lights on the posts stand out at night, making it easier for you to load your boat in the dark and for other drivers to see your trailer when you're on the road. The pre-galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between them correctly matches the width of your boat.
Pre-Galvanized Steel
Pre-galvanized steel parts are stamped from a sheet of steel after it has already been galvanized. The edges of the pre-galvanized parts often lose their zinc coating during the stamping process. Because of the thinness of the coating less than 1 mm and the fact that the edges remain exposed, pre-galvanized parts can begin to oxidize and rust quickly, so its recommended that they be primed and painted.

Lighted guide-on posts make it easy to load your boat onto your trailer and safer to transport it at night. They attach to the rear of your trailer and extend out of the water, providing visual targets to center the boat between during loading.I put these on a 2005 Four Winns Funship 214, to replace the side bunks that are always under water when I load. They function as guides and for that purpose they are great. I have noted that they do flex some if I'm loading in a heavy current and because of that I have to adjust them often. The Four Winns Trailer has about a 1/2" margin of error on the outside bunks. I was really hoping these would be sturdy enough for me to keep them tight and hit the sweet spot on the trailer routinely. I'm seriously leaning to having the trailer modified this summer to give me a larger margin of error on the outside bunks.
As far as the product, delivery, and installation I could not be happier. I was trying to solve a complex problem with these and have realized that to do so will require other steps beyond these guide-ons.
Too flimsy for the pontoon boat. Can't barely touch it or they bend. I don't have any photos of the guides after it was bent. The very first time I put the boat on the trailer with the guides installed I approached very slow, as always, assuming the guides would assist a bit more than they did in squaring the boat for getting it on the trailer. I removed the bent one and straightened it. They do help guide the boat once the boat is squared up, but they are not ridged enough to help to square up the boat to drive it onto the trailer.
Awesome and quick service. Very easy to install. I have a Rangertrail trailer. It took a little thinking because the trailer has running boards in front and behind the fender wells. No open c-channel. Marked 2 holes on top with bracket in place across c-channel underneath. Drilled 2 holes on each side. After that very easy. Followed video on YouTube. Thanks for a great product and great service. #CE27760
Easy online purchase, super fast shipping and great price. Exactly what I needed. Thanks etrailer!
Service:
I ordered on a Sunday night. Received three emails that very evening. One from Customer Service, then George and finally one from Joseph confirming shipment. On Thursday the day of delivery, I received two emails informing me the item was due to be delivered that day and that it had been delivered to my door. Last, I received an email from Debie on Friday confirming receipt. WOW talk about customer service. You people are first class! I’ve been in customer service for the past 20 years and it doesn’t get much better than that.
Product:
Sturdy well-built product that provides a great look to my new 21ft Sea Hunt and Venture trailer. Can't wait to test it out when the weather warms up.
Tip:
Instead of running the light wires between the tubing and PVC guides you can start at the short end of the galvanized tubing with a finish nail and thin string. Drop the nail through until it comes out the top (long part) of the galvanized tube. Attach the string to the ground eyelet and second wire with masking tape and pull the wiring through while sliding the PVC guides over the tube as you pull. Gave it a great finished look (will only work if you position the U-bolts far back on the trailer as close as possible to the trailer lights).
Extremely pleased with the service and product - I will be back for my other trailer needs!
Thanks etrailer.com
Absolutely terrible. The item is loosely packed and the PVC is gouged, scratched and marked up. For the price, I do not recommend this product. Zero regard for packaging and zero interest in providing customers with a damage free product.
It was easy to install and provides the visibility I was looking for when backing my trailer down a boat launch.
Very easy installation and helps out loading the boat on the trailer. Very please with product.
I purchased the guide on trailer post with a light on top to be used on a lowe duck boat and Karajan trailer. The guide posts gives me the ability to see the sides and where the transom area of he boat and trailer when backing up in the dark into unimproved ramps. The lights on top make loading and unloading in the dark easier. Installation is easy, pulling existing wires out to tie into and heat seal to improve water tightness took a little extra time. I actually did not need all the height so I cut off about 10 inches and when trailering I can see in my rear view mirrors.
Great product! Super easy installation and bright LEDs.
Really appreciate the good quality parts and service. My boat dealership told me that it would take weeks if not months to get these in. I ordered the Guide-ons with LED lights from eTrailer.com and they were not only priced well but they shipped almost immediately. In fact, George J. of customer service reached out to me to make sure that I was on track with delivery and that I was satisfied with my order. George was very helpful and professional. I got the parts and installed them today. They are exactly what I wanted. Thanks
I had purchased the Fulton boat guides earlier from another firm but had to return them because the U-bolts wouldn't work on my boat trailer (Not enough clearance between the u-bolt end and the bottom of my boat and I couldn't find replacements. I have a 16' Smokercraft Osprey with a bunk type EZ-Load Trailer. I opted to buy the CE Smith 60" guide posts with lights from etrailer.com. It turned out to be a very good decision. Easy install, they fit and work great and they arrived sooner than promised. Thanks etrailer.com!
Could not be happier with these! Plenty of flexibility for those times driving on is not perfect. The lights are nice to see in the mirror when trailering. But more important when loading up after sun goes down, they make it possible to see where you need to go.
The guides are a quality item and easy to install. A 9/16 deep socket makes installation a snap. Unfortunately the packaging leaves much to be desired. There was no packing material in the box. The tubes were scratched and, in one case, gouged.
I bought the 60 inch posts with led lights. The product shipped very fast. Was in Texas in 3 days. It was packaged well and the instructions were very clear. I have them mounted on the trailer but have not tested them out. The square tubing and all mounting hardware feels very durable. I was very impressed with the quality. I mounted these on an EZ loader Tritoon trailer for my 22 foot bennington. I originally had some plastic block-type guide-ons that kept getting caught on my lifting strakes which would destroy them. I have high hopes these will work well. I dont really need more than just a way to see where the trailer is in the last 10 feet of approach plus something to keep the rear of the trailer from blowing over in strong winds. The led lights should make it much easier at night as well.
well they look like what I ordered I can give you a better review once I install them I will say it took me less time to get my order from you than it did for an order i sent for from FLA,once I get them installed I will send you pictures
If put nose of boat between guides you can’t go wrong. All you need than is power to run it on! Lights on top are really nice.
Great item and easy to install at a good price. I might add fantastic customer service.
Just arrived this afternoon. Abundantly pleased with the quick service. I have placed 5 plus ordered with trailer and will always recommend them to anyone willing to listen.
Parts were all there. Instructions could be a little more detailed (especially the wiring portion on individual connections) Also, no mention of how to best secure the exposed wire outside the PVC pipe to trailer wiring.
These guide-ons made my fishing experiences great. I always had to struggle with positioning my boat and it was becoming so difficult that I thought I would have to give up fishing. After installing these, I was able to easily position my boat to get it on the trailer. By putting reflective tape at the wanted water lever, I am now able to back the trailer in the water just the right distance every time. Great product. I would recommend this to everyone.
Product was delivered very quickly and packaging was in good shape.
Installation was a breeze, took longer for me to get the small list of tools together and my old fat self situated on the ground than it did to do the install. My OCD was not happy with having to run the wires on the outside of mounts, I tried to use a fish tape to pull wire thru the post but it wouldn't fit thru the bend in the mounting post.
Instead of using the wire splices and drilling for a grounding location, I tied the power wire directly to the same supply as taillights with a wire nut , attached ground to the taillight mounting bolt.
Overall I am pleased with this product.
Been bad weather here since I installed them so haven't had a chance to lake trial them.
CE smith guides with LED lights on top look great and are very helpful at night.
PVC piping was all scratched on arrival from rubbing against the galvanized mount. Spart from that simple to install and seems rigid enough.
