Galvanized Steel
Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the CE Smith Heavy Duty Vertical Bunk Brackets. These heavy duty brackets let you mount a bunk board on your trailer. It's going to be ideal for larger bunk boards, such as a 3 by 8 or a 4 by 8. It's very simple. Basically one set of these is going to stabilize one end of the bunk board, so you will need additional brackets for the opposite end of the board. They're really nice. They're a nice strong, durable construction.
It's a 90 degree angle for vertical mounting on the level boat trailer frames. It will require two 1/2" diameter U-bolts for installation. Those are sold separately. They are available here at etrailer.com. It does feature four pre-drilled holes on each bracket that let you raise or lower the bunk board during the installation, and then you can secure the board vertically on its side between the brackets with a 1/2" bolt.
That's going to be sold separately, as well. Now, these are made from a galvanized steel. It's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Very strong and durable. They are suitable for salt water exposure. Product's made right here in the USA.
This part number is going to come with two brackets. We're just going to take some measurements real quick of one of them. They're going to measure exactly the same, so if we take a width measurement, it's going to measure about 5" wide. If we take a length measurement, from bottom to top, we're looking at 8" tall. The mount holes are going to be separated on center.
Now, these are the holes that would mount to the trailer frame, or they'd be used to mount the bracket to the trailer frame. These are separated on center by about 3-9/16". Then, the distance that we have between the bunk board mounting holes, center on center, it's going to be the same distance between each hole. That's going to be separated by 1-1/2". Again, nice design. Each bracket is going to have a plate thickness of 1/4". Again, steel construction with a nice protective finish. It's galvanized steel to offer rust and corrosion resistance. That's going to do it for today's look at the CE Smith Heavy Duty Vertical Bunk Brackets.

Pre-drilled holes let you raise or lower your board. My trailer had been stored outside for several years. The metal, wood and carpet had deteriorated to a point the trailer could no longer be used safely. I searched for parts at all local suppliers but no one had all the parts I needed in one place. I searched the net and discovered etrailer.com. I ordered everything I needed and the parts were delivered 4 days earlier than the promise date. I recommend etrailer.com without hesitation.
Arrived on time and was exactly as desc ribed.
They did not work as i thought they would- one was bent upon arrival so we tried to make it work and it did not come out the way we needed
The trailer bunk supports were back ordered, that took some time, but once they arrived it was exactly what I ordered. I would include a link to the matching bolts and nuts for this product. Even after contacting a sales rep I was unable to find them, had to by them from ACE. But the trailer is safely repaired and I like the product. The gate hinges were a good match and welded right on. They should hold up much better than the home made factory hinges.
I recently purchased a product from Etrailer and found the on line service to be professional and courteous, the delivery prompt and the product exactly how it was described, priced reasonably and of excellent quality.
