Today we're reviewing part number CAM40542 from Camco. This is an RV polyethylene propane tank cover that holds two 20-pound or 30-pound steel tanks. It will not hold the 30-pound aluminum tanks. It comes in a nice white color that compliments the color of your RV. It protect your propane tanks from harsh sunlight and from dirt and rain. The lid opens very, it snaps on very easily and then you just open that lid and you have access to your valves when the tanks in here. This comes as three pieces. The lid is one piece and then you've got a front and a back and they bolt together very easily with the included hardware. And there you have it for part number CAM40542 from Camco, the RV polyethylene propane tank cover for two 20-pound of 30-pound steel tanks. .

We had to replace our cover as it was cracking. Installation of the tank cover was very easy... once we remounted the rack our propane tanks sit on the hitch! Factory had installed it crooked and the edge of the cover would bind on the sway bar mounts. A little PB blaster on the bolts, some measuring, some drilling, remounting the rack and we are all good. (This is not the fault of the cover but the manufacture of our RV.) We look forward to using the tanks without taking the cover off. Love the access door on top.

orderd tank cover and came in with what looks like grease marks on it and was dirty on the inside there was a hand print from when it was put in to the box. , dont think i will use them ever again i paid for something new and i got something that was dirty.

Easy to install and looks good. Bungie corded the two tabs at the bottom under the trailer frame to prevent the cover from flying off. Also drilled two small holes in the top of the lid and cover (on the hinge side) and tie strapped the lid to the cover to prevent it from blowing off if accidentally left undone.

Just what I needed. Hope this holds up to the elements. The cheep one that came with my trailer only lasted a few years and fell apart.
I do like the top hatch that gives access to LP bottle valves. Etrailer service has always been great. This is the reason for my return time and time again. Thank you Etrailer

I will defiantly recommend this product. It is holding up well to the elements. The top hatch is handy when switching bottles. Wish the two latches were designed a little different. I have lost one of the locks already.

Holding up well. Gets full sun and no problem. The accessible lid makes this the ideal cover. I use short bungee cords to ensure no loss of the lid during travel.

Nice product. It is a bit bigger than it needs to be to fit over the tanks, so you need to make sure you have room on all sides. I had to move my tanks a bit to fit in the space. Sure makes the tanks look nice. Lots of small screws with lock nuts. I hope the top cover screws stay in place while driving.

Great product. Worked as advertised with fast shipping. I really like the instructional help video and PDF downloads with installation help and instructions that is on the E-trailer website. Easy to put together and fits over 30 gal tanks as stated. 1 small problem with the plastic hinges on the top. Be nice if those were a little more beefed up.

- Is There a Cover for a Single 30 Lb Propane TankIn most cases, 30 lb propane tanks are used in tandem. Therefore, the covers for them are all designed to cover both tanks. That said, so long as you have space you can use a dual tank cover which also allows you to add a second tank down the line if you want.
