Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side interior trim panels in your rear cargo area.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed in an out-of-the-way location within your cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Plug and play at it's best.
Works great! Meets/exceeds expectations. I really like how the receiver end comes with a cap to keep dirt and water from getting in and the long cord allows for convenient connection even with long tongue trailers. When not in use I tuck it into the trunk and truck lid closes fine without damaging cord, I have bought from them before I will definitely buy from them again, as a matter of fact I just purchased another similar connector for my Mazda truck. Thanks etrailer!

Ground wire was not as I expected.
Ground wire was looped , connected to itself and sealed with a protective
rubber heat shrink.
There was no instructions related to this connection.
This ground wire pig-tail should be explained.

Received it the second day after I ordered it. Went on my 1996 Grand Marquis this morning. Every thing went well--tried to duplicate your helpful video. Did the installation myself with the car's rear end up about 2'. Used 2 milk crates on either side of hitch center so I could get hitch in place to mark my bolt holes on the frame. Expect it to work well for pulling a 4'x8' bed trailer

I investigated this product.
I took a gamble and ordered it, unfortunately the plug ins were different. So I went ahead and and cut the plugs off and hard wired into the vehicle harness. Not a big deal, was just hoping for a plug and play.
Everything went great except for one thing....connectors are wrong ..no plug and play.

Received product ahead of scheduled delivery date. Took only a few minutes to install and worked perfectly when plugged into my trailer.
THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIRS I RECEIVED THE WRONG PART NUMBER. I'm SURE I SAW THE CHEAPER PRICE AND CLICKED ON IT. UPON RECEIPT OF THE PACKAGE I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CRYSTAL AND INFORMED HER OF THE SITUATION. SHE INFORMED ME THAT SHE WOULD SEND THE CORRECT PACKAGE IMMEDIATELY.
