Does the job, however there's a lot of play when hitch mount is inserted into the hitch and when towing with an empty trailer. Very loud. Have to buy a silencer that goes around and secures the product.

So far so good - thx for checking
David P - 09/21/2016

My boat trailer is about 5k in total and it settled it down a little bit. Had no effect on the U-Haul trailer that I rented to move my son into college. All in all, it was a good purchase.

This hitch receiver was extremely high quality and easy to install as advertised. The wiring kit was also easy enough to plug in to my existing wiring harness. This is my second hitch receiver purchased from etrailer and I'm very satisfied!

This site was exactly what I was looking for when buying a tow package for my car. Instructions were easy and everything was put together in less than 30min

Perfect fit for my hitch receiver.

No complaints here works as it's supposed to feel solid

Ball mount maintains the tow capacity for hitch, 7,500/750

I know absolutely nothing about hitches! I checked prices and products in my area and was dissatisfied with high prises and confusion over which product would be best for my vehicle. I did an extensive search on the internet and found I called and talked to Jonathan. He walked me thru the entire order process and explained details about the products. I placed my order and received it in time frame I asked for. My local Toyota dealer installed the hitch without any problems! I am totally satisfied with the pricing, product and customer service. I highly recommend!!!

Too expensive. Sent back and bought a cheaper one from local hardware store for 1/2 the price.

Quality build product and fairly easy installation. Watching video really helped for installation.

Fit like you said, installation took about 10 minutes

everything was just great, The proc=duct is well done and quality. I recommend etrailer

The product was going to come in late but etrailer offered a more expensive hitch substitute for the product I ordered. I was completely satisfied with the service, communication and product. This is the second time I purchased from etrailer.

It's a ball mount. Feels substantial and well made. Paint looks good, nice looking welding. Can't say anything bad. I understand that the hitch balls come in different sizes and types, but it would have been nice to get a simple hitch pin and clip when buying the hitch and ball mount together, as I was expecting that to be included with one or the other.

Year later, still works fine. Still think it should have included a hitch pin and clip.

Works just as expected!

Excellent product, easy installation and used to tow an extremely heavy trailer with no issues. Would buy again!

Great quality and worked like a charm.

Great design, easy install. Runs a touch low but that's how the back of Ford Explorer is designed for after-market installs. I would have probably purchased a hitch with upright assembly if possible.

Product is well made of high quality ma terials.

Perfect fit for my Curt Receiver Hitch for my Venza !

Fast delivery. Product as described. Will order from in the future.

I seldom take the time to write a review but I felt compelled to share my excellent overall experience with I ordered the C13200 trailer hitch receiver, 2" ball, 2" ball mount receiver, pin/clip, and C56217 wiring harness for my 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE. All arrived in no time and in excellent condition. The installation videos and PDF documents are outstanding. I installed the hitch receiver in roughly 45 minutes - includes time to convince brother in-law to come over to help hoist it into place. Wiring harness installation was a breeze, roughly 20 minutes (again, great instructional videos). I could not be happier with the finished product. Thanks for making this a trouble free installation. If you are considering adding a hitch, etc. go no further, you are at the right place...order away. Its very easy to install and you will save a trailer load of cash!!!

This hitch is perfect for my needs. Great, quality products, from a knowledgeable source, offering competitive prices. Also, the brief video assist eased my installation efforts.

Great part

Was functional and the craftsmanship was outstanding.
The paint was smooth and shiny.

  • How to Pick Out a Ball Mount to Allow Trailer to Tow Level
I am sure we have just the ball mount for you, but to determine which one you would need will require you to take a couple measurements. You will need to measure from the top of the hitch opening down to the ground and then from the bottom of the coupler down to the ground when the trailer is sitting perfectly level. Whatever the difference is between these two dimensions is the amount of rise/drop you would need. I attached a help article that covers how to do this as well for you to...

  • Should Trailer Be Loaded or Unloaded When Measuring For Correct Ball Mount Rise/Drop
You can measure your trailer's coupler height with the trailer loaded or unloaded. The travel in the trailer's suspension will not have a significant impact on the trailer's coupler height. When measuring the coupler height, the trailer jack will be supporting the trailer and holding it level regardless of the trailer's load. I have attached a help article on measuring for the correct ball mount for you.

  • How to Choose Right Ball Mount for 2010 Honda Odyssey Pulling 2008 Jayco Pop-Up Camper
Rise and drop is going to be the most important measurement when it comes to a ball mount; getting a ball mount with an extended length will only be necessary if, for example, your hitch is underneath your vehicle quite a bit and you need the added length to clear that amount of space. In order to choose the ball mount with the correct rise and drop, there are a couple measurements you'll need to take. First, make sure both your 2010 Odyssey and 2008 Jayco are parked on level ground; you'll...

  • Getting the Correct Parts to Tow a Trailer
If I'm understanding you correctly the answer is yes you can. Your Explorer has a Class III trailer hitch receiver that measures 2 inches on the inside. This means it must have a Class III ball mount that fits into it to tow a trailer, like part # C45030. I've linked all of our ball mounts that'll fit to this page. On the other side the trailer has a coupler that fits onto the hitch ball. With a trailer that small it's probably a 1-7/8 inch ball. It could be a 2 inch or even a 50 millimeter...

  • Where is the 7-5/8 inch Length Dimension of the Curt Ball Mount C45030 Taken From
Check out the picture I attached. I took it from the review video for the # C45030 and it shows the 7-5/8 inch dimension as we took it. The distance is from the center of the ball hole to the center of the hitch pin hole. For the # 2923 the same dimension would be 8-1/2 inches.

According to the owner's manual of your 2004 Buick Rainier your vehicle can tow a trailer with a maximum weight of 5,500 lbs to 6,700 lbs depending on your engine and if it is 2WD or AWD; you can find this information on page 4-55 of the manual.
