Today we're going to review part number BWHB94009. This is the B & W 2 5/16" hitch ball with the long shank and a 30,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this hitch ball will provide connection point to the trailer's coupler. It is designed for very heavy-duty towing. It is a heat-treated steel which is very durable. It has a very raw finish to it.
The lock washer and the nut are included. A few specs on this, the ball diameter is 2 5/16." The weight capacity again is 30,000 pounds, which is stamped at the top of the ball. A few measurements on this, this has 4 1/2 threads per inch. The length of the shank is 3 1/2". The diameter is 2". It's a 2" diameter by 3 1/2" long shank. Again, just the way it would go together, you put your lock washer on.
Go ahead and put that onto the nut. Then you tighten that down. That should do it for the review of part number BWHB94009, B & W 2 5/16" hitch ball. .

I purchased a different truck that had an existing mount but didn't have the ball. I had to find a 2 5/16" ball with a 2"D shank. I could find these in a 10,000 version but I wasn't comfortable with that weight. I found this B&W ball from etrailer and when it came in it was exactly what I needed. It fit perfect. I bought a fleet truck that had a 3-inch 30,000 pound ball hitch with a 4 inch Shank. This one was only three and a half, but it worked fine. This was the only one I could find with 4.5 threads per inch the next closest was 5 threads per inch which probably wouldn't fit.
Great product, use it when fabricating Gooseneck hitches for customers.
