The Best Top Safari Header Bikini is a full-length top that protects all passengers from the sun and the rain. It's a no-drill application that simply attaches to your windshield with the included windshield channel. It attaches to your Jeep's factory top-mounting points with the included hardware. Here underneath you can see it's a nice, snug, tight fit. It's made out of a premium, mildew- UV-resistant fabric. It includes heavy-duty buckles with industrial-strength thread so it will hold up and stay tight for a long period of time. It's a perfect solution for you to still enjoy the air of the open road while being protected by the sun's rays. In addition to protecting your passengers, if you'd like to protect your cargo too, you can pick up the Best Top Duster Deck Cover with part number B9003135. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed.
Now, this is a very simple installation. On my windshield channel here, I've already got my left and right clamps installed in the position that they need to be installed. Now, we can go ahead and take our channel and snap it on to the front portion of our top. We'll start with one corner. We're just going to slide it in and go ahead and snap it. Then we'll just work our way down.
Then as we get down to the end, we can just kind of lift up and then tuck the rest underneath and then snap the rest of the way. Just like that. Now with everything snapped in, let's go ahead and take it and drape it over our Jeep. Remember the windshield channel is going to sit on top of the windshield. If you need to get an extra set of hands, that's okay, but we're just going to take it and set it on top and then bring the rest of it over and get it centered up. Now with that kind of centered up, let's go ahead and head inside. Now we're going to be working right underneath our visors here with these two anchor points.
When positioning our top with our windshield channel on top of our windshield, we want this portion here, the top portion of our clamp, on top of our anchor-point here. How it works is, the bottom portion of the clamp goes underneath and then followed by the hand knob, just goes right up through. To make it easier, you can go ahead and move the visor out of the way completely, we'll just take our hand knob, and we're going to go up through and start threading that. Then before we tighten it down all the way, let's go ahead and get the fastener side set up. Now with those knobs loosely installed, let's go ahead and tighten them down. Now, the instructions doesn't say to, but I recommend just kind of tighten them both down evenly, that way it's got a nice, snug fit on your weather-stripping here.
Now there's no reason to over-tighten, just get them nice and snug. As you can see, it's nice and tight, it's not going anywhere. Now we can secure our B-Pillar straps. That's going to be these here, on both sides. We'll need to open up our rear door. We're actually going to take one portion of the strap and go through here and take the other and go through the front. We'll come around, we've got a little bit of trim here, and we're just going to go right over the trim here. We'll bring it up through the buckle, and then back down through the front portion and pull it nice and tight. Just like that. Now we can repeat the same process for the other side. Now we can fasten the flaps around our sport bar here. What we want to do is we want to bring the three around the outside, and make sure it's pulled down, nice and tight. We'll bring it up like so, and then just connect one at a time. Just like that. Then we can do the same thing on the other side. Now let's install our tension straps. We want to make sure that the hook is facing toward the Jeep, that way we can clip it on to our rail down here, like so. We'll first start by taking the strap and feeding it through the buckle, like so, and then back down through. Then we can take our hook and hook it on to the channel down here. I'm going to hook mine right before our door jamb here. I want to make sure that gets hooked on all the way, and then we can pull it down. We want to do that for the other side, too. Now we can install our strap with the grommet. In order to get that strap installed, we'll need to locate our pivot-bracket. That's going to be this right here. We'll be using the bottom bolt. If your Jeep does not have a pivot-bracket, then you'll need to feel around through the fabric for that bolt, and once you find it, you'll need to cut a hole in your fabric here, unless you've got a spot that you can peel back like so. We can just go ahead and take that Torx bolt out, then we'll take our strap, we'll get it positioned up, then we'll put our bolt back in. All right. Now we can bring it around and run it through our buckle. We'll do it the same way that we did before, we'll go up through the back, and then back down through the front, then we can pull that nice and tight. Now we can repeat that same process for the other side. With all the straps wrung, let's go ahead and jump back inside and tighten up the center of the bikini top. We'll come to this portion here, we're actually going to go behind our sound bar here, and these hooks are going to hook up inside the holes. Make sure that the strap is loosened up up here at the buckle, and we're just going to bring it underneath, push the hook up through the hole, and then just kind of snap it in place like so. Then we'll come up back to the buckle and then pull it nice and tight. Just like that. Then we'll do the same for the other side. Now for our last step on the install, the kit does include these little strap-keepers here, if we choose to use them. We'll take our clip and we'll clip on the back portion, the side with the two tabs, to the strap itself, just slide one side on, and then you can kind of squeeze the strap to where it clips on to the other side, just like that. Then we can take our loose, our excess strap and just slide it on, just like that. That's going to complete our look, the Best Top Full-Length Header Bikini, Safari version with windshield channel, on our 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
