Shipping was spot on, no missing parts, everything lined up perfect for my 2015 Nissan Murano platinum. Order the wire brush if you don't have one! eTrailers video on how to install was perfect. I'd recommend spending $8 on some quality rust remover spray as my threads were pretty bad. Would definitely recommend!
Jarret - 03/27/2022About 20 minutes to install. Everything lined up no install issues. The only issue I had was the packing, the box was open and the hitch was not secured (photo provided). There was some scratches which I touched up. Overall very satisfied.
Purchased this receiver to transport bikes. The receiver was shipped quickly and came in well-packaged and in great condition. It installed easily and had all the required hardware included. Purchased a Curt brand trailer hitch system from trailer.com. The service from trailer.com was outstanding. I received the hitch system within a couple of days after ordering. The Curt hitch system was an easy install on a Nissan Murano Platinum. All of the attachment holes on the hitch frame were a mirror match for the car’s frame holes. The Curt hitch is a brute. We pulled a trailer from Houston to Michigan last May and this month pulled a trailer from Michigan, to Tennessee, and then back to Houston. The hitch system was rock solid. Whether it would be installed by a third party or you are like me, able to do it yourself, I HIGHLY recommend you purchasing any items you need regarding hitches from etrailer.com.
Installation of the DrawTite hitch went smoothly. It was easy and straight forward. I have used the hitch a few times over the past year that I have owned it and it has performed well. It’s solid and strong and the finish has held up well. It looks a bit bulkier than other models but it’s a Good product. I would recommend this to others.
I purchased a hitch and wiring harness for my 2015 Murano. The harness was so simple to install and incredibly cost effective, truly plug and play. The Draw Tite hitch is well designed and looks great on the vehicle.
The only problem I had was due to a four year old vehicle that has gone through as many winters with salt on the road. The factory weld nuts were closing up with rust scale. I used 30 caliber gun bore brushes on a drill to clean the scale along with WD40, l went through eighth of them. Once that was done I slathered white lithium grease in and on everything and the install was truly 15 minutes after that.
I will recommend etrailer to anyone who will listen, great products at even better price with free shipping.
If you installing a hitch on a vehicle that has been through the rust belt be a realist and be prepared to spend a little time prepping.
Mike L - 07/16/2019The hitch is great quality and relatively easy to install with two people. One person needs to hold it in place while the other bolts it on with 5 bolts. It seems very solid. I was disappointed that it came damaged in numerous places because the box was obviously not handled well by UPS. The original paint was scraped off and I believe could have been avoided had they wrapped it first in bubble wrap. To avoid having to send it back at my expense, I accepted a $10 credit to buy spray paint. Way to make your problem mine and sell it as you doing me a favor (then you’ll have the paint for touch-up in future years).
Jenny N - 12/01/2021I ordered this hitch for my 2019 Murano. The holes under the body we’re pre drilled so no need to drill any holes. All the hardware came with the hitch and was very simple to install. It took longer to find a 1/2 inch drive socket and extension in my toolbox than it did to actually install it. With the help of my 11 years old we got it installed less than 15 mins. Great product shipping was fast and customer service was above my expectations. Thank you for the great product and I’ll be doing business in the future. I can’t thank you enough.

& all works well so far. Only one compliant , this hitch will not allow my lift gate kick feature to function. Early on I asked the question would it interfere , and was told all should be good, this information came from a representative from Draw-Tite I believe. Other than my issue with lift gate I would recommend this hitch & etrailer for future purchases.

Mike L - 05/16/2018Good quality construction. Easy installation, maybe 20 minutes. Package was tore up and hitch had scratches on it so could have been packaged with more protective wrap. Overall very happy and satisfied with hitch, will mainly use it for bicycle rack.

Not bad for a heavy piece of metal. Got the hitch and wiring harness installed today. Honestly I'm kinda diggin' the fact that it isn't as hidden as my 2013 Mo hitch was. I kinda like the look of it (minus all the stickers) of course but I will be removing those post haste (sorry e-trailer). Maybe if you give me 100.00 store credit I will think about advertising for you. Any way, all in all I'm very pleased with the hardware and the service I received from e.trailers.com

ecently I purchased a hitch for a 2020 Ford Escape, slight modifications were required to the subframe to "fish" bolts through. The installation of this hitch to the 2021 Murano was MUCH easier, as the "nuts" were already in place and you just needed to put the bolts in & tighten!
Watched etrailer videos before deciding which hitch to go with. Although the car is only rated for 1,500#, this one has both higher weight and tow capacities... all of them were basically the same price, so easy decision.
Same with the "T" wiring harness... well thought out EASY to install!
It's good - my only thing is that it hangs down a little lower than I expected. My work-around is to turn the hitch upside down and gain the height needed that way. I've never scraped the hitch, so functionally it is fine. I'd prefer it be "tighter" to the bumper for looks sake.
Very solid. Easy installation. Instructions and videos on this site made it easy. Doing it myself laying under the car, I used a 1 gallon paint can to hold up one side while I started the bolts on the other side. Worked pretty good. The packaging could use more support on the corners where the mounting plates are. Both ends were sticking out of the box when I got it.
Happy with my purchase of the Draw-Tite hitch for my 2017 Nissan Murano. Installed by myself which was a bit of a chore as it is pretty heavy but still took only 30 minutes. Would have only taken 15 minutes if I had a helper. Three bolts with washers one side and two bolts with washers on the other side. Bolt torque of
75ft-lbs was a bit of a struggle for this old man but we got er done. Highly recommend etrailer.com "Great Price" and 2-day delivery and were also very helpful with bike rack recommendations. Will definitely use again.
Good product but the paint is terrible. I know this item ends up on the bottom of my car but I don't want it to be be a rusted mess in two years. As I was taking the stickers off with some mineral spirits -- half the paint came off on the rag. It was clear that someone touched up the factory powder coat with regular black paint as it just wiped off and revealed a host of scars - powder coat does not wipe off..These were not just shipping scars..it was clearly touched up at some point prior. I ended up buying a can of spray primer and a can of 3M rubberized undercoating. I hit all the scared area with primer then sprayed the whole thing with undercoating -- this should protect it for a few years and I actually prefer the matte finish to the original glossy black paint.
Greg Z - 05/28/2016Extremely durable, took me about 30 minutes to install. I tow roughly 1,500 lbs load for about 2 hours ( 1 hour uphill, 1 hour downhill ) on almost a weekly basis with 0 concerns so far. My wife hit the ground with the hitch a couple of times when I left it on. I conducted a crack check using dye penetrant and developer, luckily no cracks were found and no loss of torque.
Hard to ship a heavy item and have it not puncture through the box. This one lost a little paint on the way but was easy enough to touch up. I didn't care for the placement of the brand label, etrailer label and data lable. (Only the brand label was straight.) So I relocated them (easy enough). Installation was straight forward. While I didn't have to drop the muffler, I found that it was easier to start with the passenger side mount. Looking at the finished installation, I feel it would look more finished if it hugged up closer to the bottom of the bumper. All in all, it is a good value.
Jesse - 02/24/2020Item came packaged well in a box. It did have a few minor scratches but overall it was in good condition. I had to use a tap to clean out the threads for the bolts as my suv is several years old and I live in Minnesota.
Dean - 08/27/2022I received a trailer hitch for my 2016 Nissan Murano in a box in great condition. There were no scratches or anything on the black paint, and, of course no rust. It literally could not have been easier to install. It lined up perfectly with the predrilled holes on my car. I'm a petite lady and had it installed in about 15 minutes, with only my 12-year old son helping for just a minute to hold up one end for me. In hindsight, I don't even think that was necessary, but it help make it a cinch. It has a pretty low profile, so doesn't hang down too far and doesn't stick out past the back of my vehicle. I think it looks great. I don't think the Nissan factory hitch could be any better. It's been on my car for about a year now and still looks as good as new

Easiest install I have every done. I believe this is the 5th hitch I have installed and it was the quickest and easiest!
It may be my safety chains on my trailer, but because the hookups on the receiver are flat they have to be twisted up and down to clip on since the ends of the chain hooks have clips to keep from coming off accidentally. Other than that the receiver meet my expectations and would purchase again if I needed another one.
