The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

Today we're taking a look at the Peterson Identification Light Bar. Now this unit adds or replaces an identification light bar on your trailer. The lights are incandescent lights so each one has one incandescent bulb. So we have a three-bulb design total. It is a submersible ID light bar for over 80 inch applications.We have a black polycarbonate base that's corrosion-proof, and again, it has three lights on it. Each one has a sealed design, so it is submersible.
The lights easily snap on and off for easy service. On the back of each light, we have a two-prong connector and then they're all wired together. So it has a six-inch long ground wire with a ring terminal and a 50-inch long power wire.It's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. Mounting hardware not included, but it's a two mount hole design. So I have a mount hole here and a mount hole here.
If you need more security, you could fit a mounting screw in this slot, as well as, this slot.Now the overall length of the unit, going edge to edge, measures about 17 inches. These mount holes are separated on-center by 16 inches. The width measurement is an inch and a half, and the overall depth from the outermost point of the lens of the light to the back of the unit is about 1 5/8 inches.Now we're going to go ahead hook it up to power, so that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. We'll also turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. So you can see here, the lights sends out a really nice, clear, consistent signal.
We have a three-bulb design, so that really helps optimize the overall light output. And again, this is a submersible design and these lights can easily be removed from the base for easy service.That's going to do it for today's look at the Peterson Identification Light Bar.

I was not in hurry so I responded, I will wait for what I ordered. Both items came in the same box earlier than expected.
I was heading out for a quick fishing trip a couple of hours away and noticed my rear trailer light bar was out. I’m always impressed with how fast I get replacement parts, and parts similar to what I have for lighting. Parts arrived today, installed, and working just fine.
The light bar is a very light grade plastic, so use caution when tightening. I tightened my last one down a bit too much, and the plastic fatigued and broke after five years at the installation point.

Just what I needed to replace the older one. I had just put the trailer in with boat and when we returned, someone had backed into trailer and broke the light in half! Unfortunately, there wasn't any note left to take blame.

Nothing towards e trailer cause iam very pleased with my service and other products I bought from them.the light bar I purchased was junk and fell apart after 2 launches, I purchased individual led lights and mounted them,disappointed with the Peterson light bar would not recommend anyone purchase one
Used these to replace the LED lights that came on my trailer. They provide a much softer light than the LEDs. The lights are sealed and do not have replaceable bulbs, but they can be ordered separately to keep a couple spares in the glove box. The lights pop out easily from the front without having to unbolt the bar. The LED lights I had were not removable, and you had to replace the whole bar when they went out. I would recommend buying this product.

for the price it does the job. bolt spacing fits Ford pickups atleast 99+ dually trucks. pigtail has plenty of room but I didn't need it.

It's nothing special.
After a long search online, I was very excited to find this light bar to replace the current light of my boat trailer built in 1994. This light bar is an exact duplicate of my original light.
