What's up everybody it's AJ with Etrailer.com Today, we're going to be checking out this aluminum angled trim, and this is going to be good for your trailers. I'm putting around the edges here of the ramp, just to make it look nice and kind of frame it in there, but it also protects the edge of those boards down there, or even the flooring you have from just coming up when stuff hits it all the time. Let's check it out. Take a look at the side here. You can see we've already installed a piece, and you just see how nice it looks with that flooring there. Just helps protect that edge.
If you come down to the edge here, where we don't have it, you see how this comes up a little bit. I can pull up on it with my finger, and just over time as you pull stuff in here or drag stuff in here with wheels, it's going to catch that and pull that. And it's only a matter of time before that peels off again. That's why where we're going to install it here, along this edge, that's going to keep it pushed down, and we're not going to have any of those issues. Each piece of the angle aluminum is going to come in at nine, three and a half inches long, and then three-quarters of an inch tall.
And three-quarters of an inch wide. Now they are going to have to be cut to length. So on our ramp today, we kind of put it down there, mark it, measured it out, and we use the miter box to get all the angles just right to where we wanted them. So with a cut, we went ahead and set it here at the edge of our ramp. I'm going to keep it in place with this hand, to get it right where we want it.
And I'm going to drill the pilot hole first. And they kind of match the pattern we've already done. Let's go right here, and start drilling. And once we've done that pilot hole, we just come back with our screw and run it in. Just like that.
And the other quarter, we're going to repeat that same process that way, just holds that piece of trim in place, while we do the middle. After we did both ends, we just kind of went through and did pilot holes for the remaining screws. We space them out evenly. We made sure we measured to make sure that it was right and matched the ones up front. But once we did that, you can see it's on there really nice, it's going to help keep this end down and not causing any issues when you're bringing stuff up or pulling stuff off of there. Now the hardware isn't included. So you're going to have to get your own hardware for that part, but that's not that big a deal. It's really easy install. Overall, they just makes the trailer look nicer. I think that about does it. Thanks for hanging out. Hope this helps..
