Pull Cable for Easy Dumping

This cable-actuated RV waste tank valve has a 72" long cable, allowing you to easily open and close the valve even when it is positioned in a hard-to-reach location. Simply install the valve between your RV's sewer pipes and mount the handle on the end of the cable in a convenient, easy-to-access place.

Pulling Valve Cable and Black Handle

When you're ready to dump your black-water tank, just pull the handle to open the valve. And when you're finished dumping, just push the handle back in to close the valve. No need to crawl under your RV to access the valve itself.

Replacing Your RV Waste Valve

Before getting started on the installation, you'll want to empty your RV's black-water tank and flush out the sewer pipes. This will help to ensure that your working environment is as clean as possible.

This waste valve is designed to replace your existing valve, which should have a hub end and a spigot end. After removing the old valve and flanges, lightly coat the outside of the new valve's spigot and the inside of its hub with ABS solvent cement (sold separately). Do the same with the open ends of your RV's sewer pipe. Then, insert the smaller spigot end of the valve into your 3" pipe, and slide the larger hub end over the pipe on the opposite side.

Thank you Kate and etrailer for great service! I was in a time crunch and Kate got me my parts a day earlier than promised. Definitely the place to go for all your needs.

by:

We are full-time RVers for almost 19 years and "etrailer" has always delivered items needed quickly and correctly. This last time I ordered an item, it was the wrong diameter gate valve. I thought I was ordering a 3" valve, when it turned out to be a 1 1/2" valve. I called etrailer, explained the problem, and they IMMEDIATELY sent me a 3" valve. We can now continue our travels knowing that my problem has been corrected. Thank you Bob for helping me out.

by:

Works great, just put a bit of Sil Glide on both sides of the seals before you slip them in to help your sanity and end results.
And route the cables properly and they should give you years of great service.

by:

It fit and worked like it should.

by:

These gate valves are of high quality and come in a variety of configurations. Shipping was quick and easy from etrailers.

by:

Customer service agent was very helpful when coordinating a return (my fault; ordered wrong valve).

by:

Great replacement to our lousy 5yr old Valterra gate valves. Highly recommend getting the Bristol gate valves! They don’t leak and they open & close with very little effort...

by:

This new valve replaced the OEM ( Keystone) because after just 4 years it seized up. There was no way to replace the bell end that went into the tank so amazingly it was identical in size to the old and fit in perfectly with no leaks. The cable inside is a solid drawn piece of steel so it pulls and pushes way better than the old(which is a cable similar to a bicycle brake or shifter cable), thank goodness for an industry standard on the size of the valve because it usually doesn’t happen this way.

Works great. It actually is a very versatile part where you can pull on side off if you didn’t want to cut the pipe. I wished I had video the process.

  • Replacement Cable-Actuated Waste Valve Options For A 2012 Keystone Montana
I don't know the length of the cable used for valves on your Montana so you'll want to measure the length to determine the correct replacement. To make the swap out easy I recommend just unbolting the old valve from the system and then swap in the new valve (without the flanges it comes with). This will make it a much faster swap out and prevent you from having to cut or glue any pipes. I've listed the sizes we currently offer below by cable length: Black 36" # 34466N4AB36GM 48" # 34466N4AB48GMA 72"...

  • Comparing Valterra And LaSalle Bristol Cable Actuated Gate Valves
The gasket is the portion of the gate valve that's allowing waste water to leak through and not actually the gate. Both companies are using a rubber gasket that will eventually fail so it really comes down to the other features of the gate valve to determine which you'd prefer. LaSalle Bristol's cable actuated gate valves don't allow you to replace the cable if there was ever an issue, whereas Valterra's do come apart and will allow you to replace components without having to replace the...

  • How to Determine Correct Black Water Tank Gate Valve For 5th Wheel
Hello Tommy, I can help you determine the right black water tank valve, but we have no way of knowing which is a direct replacement part (we can't do anything with a VIN, unfortunately). The valve will either be a Spigot to Spigot or Spigot to Hub. You should have a 3" sewer pipe, and you would use the Spigot to Spigot like Waste Valve # 34466N4BB72GM if your current valve slides into the pipe on both sides. You would use a Spigot to Hub like # 34466N4AB72GMA if one side slides into the...

  • Replacement Cable-Actuated Waste Valves For A 2016 Winnebago Destination 37FL 5th Wheel
There unfortunately isn't a guide that tells us the length of the cables that were used in your Winnebago so you would have to trace the cables to determine the correct length needed. From Valterra we only have the 72" length, which you were already looking at with part # TC1372. With LaSalle Bristol we have a few different sizes so that you can get exactly what you need: Black 36" # 34466N4AB36GM 48" # 34466N4AB48GMA 72" # 34466N4AB72GMA 96" # 34466N4BB96GM 120" # 34466N4AB120GM Gray 36"...

  • Recommended Black Tank Waste Valve Replacement For Tight Areas
Since the placement of the blank waste valve handle makes it hard to operate I recommend switching out the valve with a cable actuated valve that will allow you to place the handle exactly where you need it. Thank you for the photos! Based on that it looks like you have a spigot to hub black water tank valve, like you mentioned, where the hub end fits over one pipe and the spigot end fits into the other pipe. • Replacing Valterra Valve with LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve
What I think you are asking is if you can replace within a current system, a valve assembly of one manufacturer with that of another. Yes, the fitment of valve assemblies is industry standard in dimensions. A Valterra 3" can be replaced with a LaSalle Bristol such as the # 34466N4AB72GMA. If you are asking about interchanging individual components within the assembly, we cannot guarantee fitment within that exchange.
