This sink has a top-mounted, drop-in design. Drop-in (or self-rimming) sinks are generally quicker and easier to install than undermount sinks, and they can be installed into any countertop material. They also have a lip on the perimeter, so that once the sink is installed, the weight of the sink and its contents are transferred over to the surrounding countertop. This better supports and secures the sink, whereas undermount sinks might fall if not installed properly. In addition, because all parts of drop-in sinks are visible, they are incredibly easy to clean.
This sink replaces or upgrades your existing bathroom sink. If not replacing an existing sink, a hole 1/4" smaller than the overall length and width of the sink must be cut in the counter top. Once the hole has been made, the sink just drops into place. Brackets and hardware are included to secure the sink to the counter. The use of silicone sealant (sold separately) is recommended.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an RV lavatory or bathroom sink. This unit replaces or upgrades your RV's bathroom sink. It's constructed of a durable plastic or polypropylene construction. It's parchment in color which is like an off white or ivory. It's a nice oval shape. Comes with the installation brackets and hardware. When it comes to the overall dimensions of the unit as going in this direction, we're looking at about 20 inches.
Front to back, we're looking at about 17 inches. If you're installing this in a new application where you need to do the cutting for the hole, what you want to do is flip this upside down, do a trace line around the outer perimeter of the sink, measure in a 1/4 inch from that line, draw a new oval shape. And that's going to be your cut line.If you're installing this in an existing hole, you want to make sure it's the correct size. So edge to edge this direction, your hole needs to be no larger than 19 and a half inches. Front to back, it needs to be no larger than 16 and a half inches.
And again, this is a oval shape so it's not a perfect circle. It's not perfectly rectangular or square. It's oval. So definitely keep that in mind. When it comes to the sink opening, that's this area here, inside edge to inside edge that's going to give us a measurement of about 15 inches. Front to back, inner edge to inner edge is about 10 and a half.
The drain hole on the bottom, that's this area here, diameter measurement is one and 5/8 of an inch on that. And then it also has an area for mounting your faucet. So these holes right here, these are all separated on center by two inches. Outer to outer is separated on center by four inches. And then you have a nice little shelf area or pocket here on each side. That would be great for placing a small item like a bar of soap or a soap dispenser or something along those lines.
The diameter of each one of these holes is about an inch and a 1/4. And the product is made in the USA.That's going to do it for today's look at the RV lavatory or bathroom sink.
