pure sine wave inverter

This 12V inverter changes DC output from your RV batteries into AC power so you can plug in tools and appliances. Using pure sine wave technology, it creates clean power with low distortion, making it safe, efficient, and perfect for sensitive electronics like computers. Plus, the inverter can generate 1,750 starting watts and 1,000 running watts which is a great fit for appliances and electronics.

Functions and Features

outlets and terminals on inverter

The inverter includes 2 GFCI outlets for AC loads, positive and negative DC input terminals that connect to your batteries, and a port for a fixed-mount remote (sold separately). It has a function switch that lets you select different output voltages (100V, 110V, 115V, and 120V) and frequencies (50Hz and 60Hz). This switch can also turn the power saver on and off. Additionally, the power saving adjustment dial near the function switch sets the input and wake up thresholds for the power saver.

The system includes a number of safety features. It offers protection from over/under voltage, overloading, and overcurrent. The inverter also uses a heat sink process to protect from extreme temperatures, and an internal cooling fan removes excess heat from the unit.

fuse block

For additional safety, installing a fuse between the battery bank and the inverter will protect your equipment from power surges. The Go Power 110-amp fuse block (sold separately) works with this unit and uses a slow blow time-delay feature to withstand surge current. This means it can handle short surges over 110 amps without blowing the fuse, which is great for devices with motors that require more energy to start.

How It Installs

The inverter mounts inside your RV in a dry location with ventilation. It should be installed in close proximity to the battery bank, but not in the same compartment. The DC terminals are wired to the battery bank.

Available Fixed-Mount Remotes Provide Easy Monitoring and Control

There are 2 fixed-mount remotes (sold separately) that let you monitor and control the inverter from inside your RV.

GP-SWR-A inverter remote

For a simple, no-frills option, the Go Power GP-SWR-A Inverter Remote lets you turn your inverter on and off from inside your RV. It also has a LED which indicates the inverter's status.

GP-ISW-R-12 inverter remote

For additional features, the Go Power GP-ISW-R-12 Inverter Remote provides LED indicators that display the voltage, output power, inverter status, power saving mode status, and fault conditions. It also has a power button that controls the inverter.

  • Go Power Recommendations for Portable Systems
The Go Power Solar Cable Entry Plate 34273841REVA with MC4 connections, as installed by RV builders, is generally installed on the roof. If this is the situation with yours then this will not provide a quick disconnect for you unless you use an MC4 to SAE for creating a quick disconnect. The MC4 entry plate is intended to make connections for permanent/semi permanent solar panels affixed to the roof. I suggest the Go Power Portable Solar System with Digital Solar Controller and 200...

  • Solar Power and Inverter Options with 2021 Jayco Eagle HT Fifth Wheel
For RV application I prefer the Go Power brand of products. If your camper is pre-wired from Jayco I believe they are using the same brand. There is typically two options available in pre-wired from the factory for "solar ready" either using a portable solar connector on the side of the RV or they have installed a Go Power cable entry plate on the roof. You will need to first determine the energy demands being placed on your batteries. If you will only be running the outdoor mini fridge...

  • Recommended Inverter to Power RV Fridge From Two 12V Batteries
If your 12V batteries are wired in parallel for 12V output, the Go Power Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34279948 that you were looking at should work great to power your RV fridge. This pure sine wave inverter provides 1,000 watts of continuous output power, more than enough for your fridge that draws 6.61 amps. Having both your batteries run in parallel will also extend its run time when powered. I have attached a short video demonstration on this inverter and the instructions manual that...

  • Recommended Battery Charging Solution for 4 Snowmobiles In Trailer
To answer your first question, not exactly; your 7 way trailer plug will have a 12v feed but it is only suitable for maintaining the trailer's battery and not actually providing a full charge. When it comes to charging the sleds, you're not going to want to directly charge them from the trailer battery and you will want to use a battery charger that is powered by the trailer battery. However there are two issues with this that will need to be taken into consideration. First, in order...

  • Battery Tender/Trickle-Charger Setup for a 6x12 Neo Trailer
So it's going to be quite a bit. What you're going to need is to convert your trailer to a 7-way with a junction box # 38656, and then use a DC to DC charger like the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Single Input # RED96FR to use the vehicle to charge the battery that you're adding to the trailer. You're then going to need a small inverter, like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34279948, and plug the charger # 329-GENIUS10 into that to go to the bike battery.

  • Is Fuse Needed to Connect Go Power Inverter to Battery
The Installation Kit for Go Power 12V or 24V Inverters # 342GPDCKIT2 has a T-fuse that is needed because it serves as protection for the connection made between the battery and 12V Inverters # 34280175, # 34280176 and # 34279948 as well as 24V Inverter # 34279951. This fuse is needed as a way to protect the inverter from direct overcurrent protection. I have added a link to a video review of this kit as well as the aforementioned Go Power Inverters.

For solar panels I would start with the Go Power # 34272628 2-pack of 110 watt panels. (Total of 220 watts) In the future (or today) based on the available space on your roof you can easily daisy-chain one, two, or four more panels. I like the flexible panels as they will conform to the bowed top of your roof, and are more easily installed compared to rigid framed panels. For additional panels order the Go Power # 34272629 expansion panel. These panels will just plug into your roof top...

  • What Is the Max Length Of Wire Between Battery and Inverter With Go Power 1,000 Watt Pure Sine
The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter part # 34279948 actually calls for a minimum of #4 AWG so I cannot recommend you use #8 AWG. The combined cable length between the batteries and inverter should be no more than 10' long in order to achieve maximum efficiency and to reduce fire hazards.

  • Determining How Long A 1000 Watt Inverter Can Power 400 Watts Of Electronics
A 50 amp hour battery is only going to power 400 watts for approximately 1.5 hours so you would need to either have a larger battery bank or a way to recharge the battery. For a larger battery bank you'd really need something around 150-200 amp hours like the # PS64FR. This is pretty expensive so probably not the route you'd want to take just to power some computers. Recharging the battery would require either a generator or solar power, with the generator being the more reliable and...
