Does have the mounting plate back here with the four hole design.Now the unit also comes with your pin and clip. So you undo that, and it's held on there with a lanyard, so you don't have to worry about misplacing that or losing it. You undo that, and then you can grab this T-handle, roll it up, then roll back and that's going to open the pintle hook to accept a Lunette ring. Once you have your Lunette ring in here, you take this, reverse those steps, drop it back down, take your pin, place it through, put your clip on and that's going to keep from accidentally disengaging and popping up.So it's got an easy to use latch with that drop forge steel jaw, durable and corrosion resistant black powder coating, forged steel construction. Again, maximum gross trailer weight, as you can see here, is 12,000 pounds, maximum towing capacity 2400 pounds.A few measurements to go through real quick: the distance that we have between our mount holes, center on center going in this direction, is three and three-eighths.

The 6-Short Ton pintle hitch had the correct bolt pattern and hole size for 1/2 inch bolt plus was exactly what I required.
However, the 1/2 inch - Grade 8 washers (not the extra strong) had to be filed to sit properly in the recess areas for the washer / bolt combination. Note: The Grade 8 washer for a 3/8 inch fit just right.

They were boxed up in a large box and all the boxes came damaged.

Very nice quality hitch. I wish it came with a bolt kit (grade 8) it would be a cheap upgrade and would be much more convenient for the customer even if the hitch cost a few bucks more.
