Specs:
The EcoHitch Hidden front-mount trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame. No drilling or welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.
With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.
This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

Attach accessories to the front of your vehicle with this trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more. Hidden cross tube leaves only receiver visible. Aluminum and steel alloy construction is sturdy and eco-friendly.Love the look and versatility of this hitch. The 10,000lb pull rating was one key factor in why I picked this set up. This allows me to mount a hitch mount winch plate, allowing me to mount winch only when I need it. I also have a bike carrier that allows me to mount two bikes up front. Many different options with this setup. Great tongue weight rating too at 1000lbs. I even like the license plate mount which centers the plate on the bumper rather than having it set low.
Just what I wanted. Been wanting to get this and install. Pretty straight forward for my boy and I. Took about 2 1/2 hours. Hardest part was the cutting of the plastic and marking everything but we got through it. Only thing wrong the license plat bracket was welded crooked, I don’t need it was going to run so it’s hidden. Could not ocd got me.
I installed this on my 2022 F350 King Ranch to mount a motorcycle carrier. It is a great fit and a well made hitch. Install only required minor modifications and NONE which were not highlighted in the install video on the website. The video is excellent. Watch it before you order and you’ll have zero WTF’s. etrailer customer service is always great and this transaction was no exception. They are my go to for everything hitch related. Thanks, hope this helps,
This does fit a 2023 F250 single axle gas 7.3 godzilla Engine. Etrailer video is a great video to get it put on in a hour and a half. I recommend leaving the plastic part in the bumper out. Also recommend only putting tape on the two inside bummer mounts as the other two you can access easily. The shovel things are not reinstalled. Very satisfied with the quality and instructions and youtube video.

Its working out great. No issues.
First, I'm a retired military aircraft mechanic & aircrewman with over 28 years of service.
Second, I've used consumable aircraft hardware that costs far more than this hitch.
Third, this hitch is manufactured (for some inexplicable reason) to be much shorter than the intended installation point. See photo.
This fact meant that in order for me have it hard mounted (fully secure), I had to over stretch the bolts, & pull the frames together in order to close the gap pictured. That in its self means that I have increased stresses on original equipment installed in that area. So, will the bolts used to install it fail first, or an original component?
Fourth, the instructions are a bit vague on on how much of the plastic component had to be cut out.
No, it's not a flying machine, but that doesn't mean that I will lower my maintenance standards.
This being fact, I am HAPPY to have a front hitch on truck.
The hitch mount fit well and all parts were included. The instructions are incomplete at best or unclear at worst. The pictures were too small and descriptions showing where to cut and exactly what to cut were almost useless. The orientation of the center plastic section was flipped constantly without any reference to front, top or right side which led to a lot of guessing and at least one wrong cut. It would have helped if the pictures were larger and if the background was not so dark to match the part being trimmed. The Diesel engine and newer models were not well separated from the gas engine model so you could easily get off on the wrong track there. Also, there was no mention of factory fog lights or how to work with those brackets or wiring. We managed to figure it out but could easily have accomplished the job faster if the instructions and pictures were better. We ended up installing the bumper and marking where to cut the plastic with a silver sharpie, then it installed easily.
Bolted right up to my 2019 F-250. Looks like it's going to work perfect to haul my E-bike rack. I might have to use a dual receiver hitch to drop the rack down for better visibility while driving. That's to be determined. I'd highly recommend the Eco Hitch!!
A beautiful stealthy installation. I really like this receiver being up higher then those under bumper mounts. I can use it for moving my camper and boat around. I also slide in my winch when I need it. So far around 1 year of use and zero problems or rust.
Have been waiting to see this hitch first hand And was amazed by how well constructed it was.Easy to install. All the hardware and instructions in the box.Now I can use my winch for hunting season with tons of ground clearance and move the boat into tight spots myself. Thanks to etrailer.com for this great product.5Product Review for

That's neat Robert! What kind of motorcycle do you have?
The hitch is great! Super stout. But, installation was a disappointment. There was a significant gap between the frame rails on the Ford. About 3/8 inch. Did some research and it seems some frames are different but can't confirm. I happen to have a piece of 3/8 steel plate that I was able to cut and drill and slide it in to take up the gap. Definitely extra work I wasn't planning on doing. I guess I'd still buy it again but if you're going to pay someone to install it then make sure they put a nice spacer in there and bot a bunch of washers. Again, not sure is this is a Ford inconsistency or an eco hitch problem. Because it's a hitch and needs to be 100% solid this should be looked into.
Fit as designed. The gas engine model I had did not have the extra cooler so it made installing fairly simple. Cutting out the plastic insert for the receiver hitch was the most difficult part of the install. Directions and photos are not very clear. Just used a little common sense and cut as needed to give a nice look. 2017 Ford F250 XL 6.2 gas 4x4
Installed on my 19 Ford F350 DRW with no problems including repositioning the oil cooler with included brackets.
Total install time was about an hour with truck on lift. Great service and delivery as always from Etrailer.
Keep up the great service.
Fits 2021 F350 Diesel but with extensive mods to the Plastic Insert. 5 stars for weight ratings and overall build quality. 3 stars for installation hassle bc the plastic insert that needs to be slotted in my case needed to be cut back significantly and bracketry added which took extra time. Wish it came with 2 extra fender washers and a heads-up that the insert might need extra mods and brackets (see below). Did not have to move any coolers or cooling lines. 4 stars overall.
Notes from the install.
1. Marked bumper brackets and supports to know exactly where it was installed by the factory. (Mine was off-center left/right by 1/4 inch so I centered it before cutting the slot in the plastic insert.)
2. Consider building some stands to help with the bumper removal/install and hitch install. Made a simple stand low enough to support the bumper and added blocks to install the hitch. (Also removed the front skirt before bumper removal.)
3. As other reviewers stated, had to shim one side of the hitch with 2 of the supplied fender washers as it was narrow by that amount. Had to purchase 2 additional fender washers.
4. Since other reviewers mentioned the slotting instructions needed improvement, more or less reviewed those and took them as recommendations. After hitch installation, test fit the bumper without the plastic insert. Then measured to the hitch. Then removed the bumper, installed the insert, and transferred the measurements to the plastic insert.
5. Found out during test fit after the slot was cut that the lower, back of the slotted insert had to be completely cut-off to fit. The insert needed to be flexed under the hitch so that the bumper to go back to the original position (see picture with notes). That flex would then warp the visible part of the plastic insert. Therefore, the section interfering was completely removed. Installed some brackets to support the lower section. The brackets proved to work well.
That the hitch is stout, up high, and hidden is a plus. Will have to build or purchase a hitch adapter to drop the hitch about 7 inches for one of my uses but don't mind doing that.
I recommend this hitch but keep in mind you might have the same installation challenges.
I will be putting it to the test this coming weekend, with an aluminum basket, ice chest and several rod and reels. Install was simple after watching video provided by E-trailer.
Really works great. I had to get a drop hitch fabricated (orange piece in pictures) so my eBike rack would hold the bikes lower and I can see over the bikes instead of thru. I watched my temp gauge and do not observe any increase in heat (thus less airflow into grill). Its a little tight getting pin in/out as the space behind license plate is very small; but it works. I have not tried, yet, to try hitching my travel trailer (8000 pounds) up and pushing it into a campsite.
First of ALL etrailer was outstanding. They kept me in loop on back order. THANK YOU this is for a 2021 F250 4x4 crew cab
As far as the hitch...well the instructions need some serious updates for 2021 super duty. The hitch was 1/4" short to fit between frame rails, so i had to add shims to bring it in snug. the whole thing can be put on without removing the bumper. I removed the lower valance and both pass and driver bumper supports bolts at the frame and then loosened (not removed) the main 8 bolts to give me 3/4 inch wiggle room that allowed me to reach into frame to add the hitch mount bolts and torque them, this was wonderful and saved me some time. the plastic trim panels around the tow hooks are a bugger to get off, but patience will prevail if you gently slide a no scratching thin blade screwdriver in to release the two plastic locks then the other clips will snap right out
once i had all the plastic cut to allow room for the hitch, i raised it up to the frame and used 12" 3/8 socket extension bars to slide through frame as well as hitch bolt holes to hold it in place while i installed the lower and one side bolt on each side. made it a cinch to adjust and get centered and add shims.
I'm 59 years old and a third generation grading contractor. I've worked on trucks and heavy equipment my whole life. I've turned ALOT of wrenches. That being said, the instructions for installation of this hitch are the worst I've ever seen. Lots of steps left out of the bumper removal. The instructions for cutting the plastic where the hitch goes were not even close! Multiple attempts and additional trimming to make it fit. Also the hitch was an extremely tight fit between the rails. Once installed I like it and it seems to be good quality. The one star is for the almost useless instructions.
I installed the EcoHitch yesterday on my 2020 F250 diesel. The parts fit perfectly. If I had to critique something - a clearer picture or a video of the installation would be helpful. The enclose directions included pics that were hard to understand as it relates to cutting the plastic on the bumper. They seemed to be from another model year of truck... At any rate, the install was clean and took about 4 hours with two 15 minute assistance steps from my wife. 1st lifting the bumper off and then reinstalling. The hitch itself was placed with a floor jack.

EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
Item # 306-X7904.
I selected this hitch for it's ground clearance hidden aspect.
Install was fairly easy was able to install in a few hours.
Instructions were easy to follow. The insert potion in my application
was slightly different than that in the instruction for the cut out. My
truck did not have the front license plate mount incorporated into the insert. Called
tech support at Torklift Central we were able to come up with a solution to
get the proper cut out for the insert. Very happy with the fit and appearance
Of this front mounted receiver.
Heavy duty, fits nicely within the front grate so you don’t see it unless looking for it. We use a drop hitch in it to accommodate a cargo carrier with a large box for all of our 5th wheel landing gear blocks and jacks so it’s heavy. Very happy with the product
Hitch was easy to install via video. Delivery and after sales follow up best in class.
Two of my buddies and I bought three of these. Had them all installed in less than four hours. We are all very happy!
Ended up buying a drop adapter to see over the KTM
Bolted right up other than cutting the original plastic for the receiver to go through, works perfect for my winch cradle. I have gotten a lot of compliments and told others etrailer is the place to go to for hidden front mounts.
I installed this on my 2018 Ford F-250 after being so disappointed in the loss of ground clearance associated with the Curt trailer hitch. I found this instillation easier than the Curt because the bumper removal allows easy access to the attachment sites. The license plate holder was not included but a quick call resolved that omission.

Hitch looks great on your truck. It looks like you have some aftermarket fog lights, too. I've seen some different ones in action, and I have been debating on getting some for my dad's truck. What ones do you have and how are you liking them?
