Specs:
The EcoHitch Hidden front-mount trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame. No welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.
With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.
This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

After spending the better part of 4 hours trying to disassemble the front of my Sprinter, I've discovered I can't install on a 2022 Mercedes Sprinter outfitted by Tiffin (GH1 model). ARB hose attached to rock plate in front will not easily disconnect. Also unable to unbolt passenger side bracket for rock plate as it hits the radiator.
Package came with all the parts. I installed it in 4 hrs but I never work on vehicles so I was careful and learned as I went. Took an hour to figure out how to get all the plastic pop rivets out of fenders. An experience car tinker could install under 2 hrs. I didn't remove the cross member, there is no need since my 2017 Sprinter RV didn't have brackets. The DEF tank was using the front hole (see photo) so I had to remove bolt and slide hitch flange in between DEF support and frame...not too bad but difficult by myself. Used a jack and two jack stands to lift into position. Also, leave 1" along back edge when cutting hole in bumper for extra stability and then 6" long toward front.
Uncomplicated install, great quality! Allowed me more hauling options.

Hitch Receiver has been very useful. You DO have to be aware that placing large solid objects, like a storage container on a hitch carrier, may block your radiator air flow. But that’s not a Eco hitch issue. That’s a user packing issue. Receiver is very sturdy.
Worked great, easy install, just take your time. Some folks mentioned they couldn't install the hitch because they couldn't get the bolt out by the intercooler. Just back it out half way and then cut it off with the sawzall
with a hacksaw blade. Make sure to leave enough to back the rest of it out with needle nose. Took 5 extra minutes. Works great!
Easy to install. Works perfect to hook up car trailer to front of rv when camped for days at the track.
Overall it was okay but first, one key part was missing. One of the square metal washer was not there. Given that all the parts were set loose in the box, this washer may have been dropped during the shipping (by the shipping box was battered...). It was quite a journey to find a replacement part but my trailer shop saved my life (see pic) by providing a cheap alternative. Second, the instructions were good but I cannot believe that a front mount hitch for a Sprinter would not factor in the DEF reservoir that is mounted on one of the key hole in the frame to position the hitch...Really? MB Sprinter is a diesel and I cannot understand that this was not included in the instructions. So overall good but I had to find a replacement for the metal square washer and to figure out how to bolt the hitch and to keep the DEF reservoir bolted as well. Also, I was expecting to put some safety brackets as shown by etrailer but there were not brackets...Is it good or bad, not clear to me. Overall, if I had known all this, not sure I would have bought this hitch but it is installed and will be useful. Hope this is helpful to others. Cheers.
It's holding up a Thule rack well. The rear is freed for a motorcycle.
Great product, fits perfectly for a 2018 sprinter, good instructions and 2ish hour install. Needed to notch the bumper about 7 inches deep.
The only topic not covered in the instructions was the DEF tank (this is a diesel) support, but as it had a solid metal boss to bolt though was able to get the hitch under it while also getting to the needed torque of 70 ft-lbm
This product is stellar and even more impressive were the step by step installation instructions….spot on!!!
Worked perfectly on our Sprinter 3500 Thor Freedom Elite motor home. Front install to haul bikes since we tow a boat on the back.
Received a front hitch for my RV to use my bike rack on front of vehicle. Tracking was clear and shipping was very quick. Front hitch required some bumper cutting that I did not want to do myself. Used an etrailer.com recommended installer for help. Works great.
The product arrived and exceeded my expectations. It is well-made made and ready to install. The office was very helpful in adjusting my delivery details.
Melissa did a great job getting my account updated and product in transit. Many Thanks!
The hitch was received badly scratched. It’s supposed to be a finished part it was boxed with the damage the boxes undamaged.
Hitch is built solid, in the description online about the installation it says no drilling and that it fits my 2016 Sprinter, I ran into a few problems, there are no holes in frame for the two straps that secure front of hitch, so in the instructions that come with the hitch, it says to drill holes in frame, the frame is a boxed in type so drilling holes and bolting it to frame isn't a task I wanted to take on, ie removing radiator to have room to drill the frame, running bolts all the way through boxed in frame. The vacuum booster for brakes is also mounted to the frame where the driver side part of the hitch is supposed to mount, so will have to figure out some way to remount this. Pictures very hard to see that are provided with directions, would not purchase again. It shipped fast and arrived ahead of schedule so that aspect of experience was 5 stars.

According to EcoHitch, there are a very few Sprinter models that lack the front holes you speak of. Last week, they revised the installation instructions to include this information, and we have updated our product description page in the fit guide to reflect this revision.
I purchased this "Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver" to accept a "One Up Fat Tire Bicycle Rack". The price was little more than I thought I would have to pay for a front hitch receiver, but after doing a lot of research on what was available for the front of a Mercedes Benz Sprinter 3500 I realized that this was the only receiver to purchase. Shipping/Delivery time was very good. The Hitch is a heavy item to ship in just a cardboard box. The cardboard shipping box was beet up and the hitch had a couple scratches but let's be realistic It's a hitch receiver. It is going to be punished it's whole life riding on the front of my MB sprinter. Installation instructions are very good. The installation went smoothly step by step as illustrated in the very detailed directions. All the necessary hardware was included. As far as I'm concerned if you are going to install a hitch receiver on your sprinter van, and you plan on DIY, this is your best selection on the market. When the bike rack is not installed on the receiver the receiver is barely visible. The receiver does not change ground clearance height.
2016 Sprinter 2500 wagon (meaning 3 bench seats with windows all the way around) 4 cyl Diesel - BOLT ON PERFECT NO ISSUES ! Shopped hard for this, best weight, best install, best front hitch for my vehicle
We purchased this front mount receiver for our 2020 Tiffin Wayfarer on a Mercedes Sprint chassis. It was special ordered and installed by Midwest RV for us. Our plans were to carry our bikes on the front of our RV. We also purchased and had installed a Swagman Dispatch RV Approved Hitch Mount Bike Rack.
On the way home from Midwest RV we found our cruse control no longer worked. We contacted etrailer and Mercedes. To make a long story short, the empty bike rack was blocking the sensor for the cruse control. There is no way to use the receiver to carry anything on the front of a Mercedes Sprint chassis and be able to use the cruse control.
Yes it is a nice mount, but really serves no useful purpose. It is not worth the cost to have it taken off in order to return it.
I have attached two pictures. One of the mounted bike rack. The other from the Mercedes rep showing the location of the sensor.
This hitch was the best addition to my sprinter, van life setup! I can now add two mountain bikes or my water reservoir to the front of my vehicle! Very happy with it!
Installation was relatively straight forward, just followed the instructions. Appears to be well made. Heavy duty for sure.
The hitch came in a timely manner the instructions were very clear it fit perfectly the hardest part was cutting the hole for the hitch to exit
Huge hole in the box with contents falling out. Hopefully, everything is there.
Not satisfied with the delivery to say the least.
Fit like a glove. Instructions were goo d.
The hitch is well made and performs flawlessly. It would be amazing if there was an install video for this but we got it done :)

I reached out to the manufacturer and they said that this hitch is developed for factory equipped vehicles. So, the ARB being an aftermarket part, is getting in the way. They said theyve only seen a few Sprinters where the intercooler can be unbolted and lifted on the passenger side to have enough clearance to remove an OEM bolt for the lower rock shield.
