Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Rear Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs

Today we're going to take a look at the Rear Hanger for 2" wide slipper springs. This is 6 3/8" tall, has a 5/16 diameter bolt hole. Now this rear hanger is designed to work with trailer suspension systems that have 2" wide slipper springs. This hanger will provide the attachment point for the leaf spring. The hanger suspends the spring from the trailer frame by providing a resting place for the slipper under the spring. It is designed for trailers with 3,500 pound to 9,000 pound axles.

Again, it is designed to fit 2" wide slipper springs. It does work with the 5 1/16" diameter bolt. We do sell those separately on our website, and they are usually listed on this product page as a related product. I'll give you some overall dimensions on this. The overall height, from the very bottom to the very top is going to be right at 7". The width on it is going to be right at 2 3/4".

The inside width is 2 5/16. The depth on it is right at 3". Usually when they label the heighth on the hanger, the measurement they give, like in this case they're saying it's a 6 3/8" tall, that measurement is from the center of the bolt hole to the top of the hanger. If we go center to top then you can see it's the 6 3/8". That should do it for the review on the Rear Hanger for 2" wide slipper springs, 6 3/8" tall with the 5/16 diameter bolt hole..

Perfect on everything

Good price, and made heavy enough. Matches my original piece. However, the pipe that the spring rests on was installed with the seam under the welds where the spring rests. It's gonna fail just like the one I'm replacing did. Broke right at the seam. The seam should have been turned above the welds where it's not load bearing. Someone who makes trailer suspension parts should know this. NOT real happy with the careless manufacturer.

by:

This bracket is about 1" longer than my original bracket which puts the spring support 1" lower than my original piece.

Parts fit perfectly
