Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Global Link Replacement Strike Plate for RV Entry Doors. This unit replaces the missing or damaged strike plate on your RV entry door. It serves as a direct replacement for the strike plate that came standard with your Global Link RV entry door latch kit, and it will work with most RV entry doors and latches. It's made from a very durable steel construction, and it's going to feature a corrosion-resistant zinc plating. Taking a look at some of the dimensions real quick starting with the overall length, so I'm going to measure from edge to edge. That's going to measure 3-7/8" long.
Overall width, edge to edge is about 1-3/16" wide. Now, I took a measurement of this opening right here and going this direction it measured about 2-1/8 to 2-3/16" long. Side to side, that opening measured 11/16". The mount holes on the unit are elongated, and they're separated on center by 3-5/16". Mounting hardware is not included. This strike plate didn't fit my door and unfortunately etrailer didn't have any idea how to find one so I'm still looking.

To ensure this is a proper replacement, you may want to start with comparing dimensions of you original to this replacement. To measure from edge to edge Thats going to measure just under four inches at three and seven eights an inch long. Overall width, edge to edge is about one and three sixteenths inches wide. The length of the rectangular cutout measures two and one eighth to two and three sixteenths of an inch long. Side to side, that opening measured eleven sixteenths. The mount holes on the unit are elongated, and theyre separated on center by three and five sixteenths of an inch.

- What Direction Do You Face The Strike Plate When Installing On RV Door FrameI understand your frustration, I can help you out with this. **Global Link Replacement Strike Plate for RV Entry Doors - Steel # 295-000022. If your strike plate is like the one above I suggest mounting it with the hole closer to the top of the plate. Like you see in our photos. You want the lip on the outside to face away from the inside of the camper. If you have to drill new holes you can fill them with a non leveling sealant that you can paint to match, once it dries.

I recommend replacing your broken striker plate with the Global Link Replacement Strike Plate for RV Entry Doors - Steel item # 295-000022. Sorry to tell you but that's not a screw. Someone attached that striker plate with a rivet. You're going to have to carefully drill it out or take a screw driver and a hammer and pry it off without damaging the door.

I don't think another 1/16" would cut it so I'd say look for one that has at least a 7/8" opening.
