Specs:
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Folks, we're looking at the Peterson clearance or side marker light. It's a submersible LED with a chrome housing and a red-colored lens. Folks, this LED trailer light does serve as a clearance or a side marker light when it's properly mounted. It comes sealed with a waterproof housing. The whole lens unit here is a one-piece.
It's LED, and it has the nice durable chrome-plated housing here and the watertight gasket for installation as well. The two screws for mounting it, surface mount it, and a length of wire here as well. It is DOT compliant. It is P2 rated as well. Now I'm gonna go ahead and light this up for you so we can kind of see the intensity in the daytime and in the night.
Okay, there we go. So this is in the daylight. And I'll shut my overhead lights off. And there is the nighttime. And if it was looking down the side of the trailer, you would see pretty much like that.
And let me change my camera angle, go far away. Okay, so that's far away. Pretty nice to see. And from the side, again, so very visible. The LED lights make it super, super visible in the daytime or night and it is a nice light for any kind of trailer.
Now as far as some dimensions, it's kind of a standard size here. We are 2 1/4 inches long by an inch and 1/4 tall and 3/4 of an inch thick, or sticking out, however you want to say it. Well, folks, it does run a 12 volt DC system. Has a nice one-year limited warranty from the manufacturer. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching with me today, folks. Stay safe out there while you're towing and have a great day.
Thanks...just what we needed!!
