MB Sturgis Propane Fittings - 100833-12

  • Hoses
  • Pigtail Hoses
  • 1 Foot Long
  • 1/4 Inch - MIF
  • Type 1 - Female
  • MB Sturgis

Pigtail makes the connection from the propane tanks on your trailer to the propane regulator on your trailer. Check valve prevents backflow leakage and is suitable for dual-tank setups. Stainless Steel overbraiding protects hose from damage.

Features:

  • Propane pigtail connects your propane cylinder to a regulator
    • Used for single or dual tank setups on the front of your travel trailer
  • Female Type 1 fitting connects to the valve on your propane cylinder
  • Male Inverted flare connects to a propane regulator
  • Built-in bypass mode shuts gas off when flow reaches maximum capacity for safety
    • Thermal shut-off device turns off gas flow in extreme heat caused by open flame
    • Excess-flow safety device limits gas flow in the event of a severe leak
  • Stainless steel overbraid protects the hose from damage
  • Durable thermoplastic hose and brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • Rated for high pressure and high flow rate to handle unregulated propane
    • UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 140 F
  • Hose dimensions: 12" long x 1/4" inner diameter
  • Hose fittings:
    • Type 1 tank connection
    • 1/4" Male inverted flare
  • Maximum pressure rating: 350 psi
  • Maximum flow capacity: 450,000 Btu per hour
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Bypass Mode for Safety

This Type 1 connector will go into bypass mode if the flow rate surpasses the maximum flow capacity for this connector, which is 450,000 Btu per hour. A ball inside of the fitting will push an internal spring down, pressing firmly against the bottom of the fitting to shut off the flow of gas.

When choosing a Type 1 connector, consider your overall propane demands and choose a connector with a flow rate that just exceeds it. That way, you won't trigger the bypass mode during normal use, but it will trigger in the event of a leak. If the bypass valve engages, stop using gas and start checking your connections for leaks.

  • Propane Hose Replacement For 18CE Cavagna Group Recommendation
Searching by part number it appears the MB Sturgis Propane Hose Assembly # 100383-48-MBS would be the replacemement part you need for at least the 18CE Cavagna Group replacement. The picture received on our end was a duplicate and you mention there's a different connector for it so if there is a different label for the second connector I would be happy to check that one as well. Regarding braided vs. rubber line durability, the braided stainless steel can protects the thermoplastic...

  • Regulator for Gas Fireplace that Needs 11 inch Water Column from Two Propane Tanks
The 11 inch to 13 inch WC requirement you mentioned is standard LP like what the regulator part # 37207-31525 you mentioned provides. This regulator was designed for dual tank setups like you have too and automatically changes between the two so it would work great.

  • 1 Foot Hoses For Use With JR Products Auto Changeover Regulator
Technically you can remove the adapters of the JR Products Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-30395 but there's really no reason to do so, especially because the 6020 you are replacing has the same fittings as this regulator. For a 1 foot pigtail hose use the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail w/ Back Check - Type 1 x 1/4" MIF # 100833-12.

  • Replacement For Auto Changeover Regulator With Male Reverse Fittings
Definitely change the regulator; I've never heard of that type of fitting so go to the JR Products Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 37207-30395. This will allow you to use regular, standard hoses like # 100833-12.

  • Propane Regulator Recommendation for Burner Stove and Water Heater on Pop Up Camper
Something like the Camco Vertical 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59313, rated for 160,000 Btu/Hr, would have enough "umph" to get you what you need, but you also have to check the rest of your propane lines and connections to make sure they are rated high enough as well. Popup campers typically don't have many propane connections which is likely why you need a separate tank system. While you're in the mindset of upgrading your system I do recommend converting your single 20# tank system...

  • Can Quick Disconnect Propane Fittings Be Used Before The Regulator
The extend-a-stay tees just let you connect an external tank to fuel your RV's propane system so that you don't have to pack up and go get the onboard ASME tank refilled. Quick disconnect fittings are totally fine before the regulator and we actually even offer a version that has two quick disconnect fittings on it, part # 103537-MBS. With the ASME tank valve turned on the fittings can be used to fuel propane accessories, and with it off you can then connect an external tank to fuel your...

  • Parts Needed to Connect 100 Lb Propane Tank to Water Heater
It sounds like what you need is a pigtail to go from the tank to a regulator, then from the regulator you'll need a supply hose that's long enough to reach and connect to the to inlet valve (manifold) on your food truck and that has the correct fitting. Below are the parts I recommend: 1. MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Stainless Overbraid - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 1' # 100833-12 2. If you have a 1/4 Inch - Male NPT, I suggest the # 100473-12. If you have a 1/4 Inch - MIF, then I suggest # 100833-12. If you have brass fittings in the inlets on the regulator then you most likely have the inverted flare.

  • Recommended Type 1 Propane Pigtail with Dark Green Connector
It sounds like you're looking for a Type 1 propane pigtail, which are available in 12" with part # 100833-12, 18" with part # 37207-30735 or 30" with part # 100575-30-MBS; these all have the dark green Type 1 connection that you're seeking but they do not come in a 10" long version. For the 1/4" MIF to 1/4" Female MPT adapter you can use the # 402258-MBS which does not have a back check, or the # 204120-MBS which comes with a back check. There is not a Female MPT to MIF adapter available,...

  • Recommendation of Propane Hose Replacement For 18CE Cavagna Group
I think the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail, # 100833-12 is what is needed. You do not state what fittings you have on current hose but most likely are the Type 1 cylinder connection with a 1/4" Male inverted flare. If you have something different please let me know. This has a maximum flow capacity of 450,000 Btu per hour.

  • Pigtails Needed to Connect Dual Propane Tanks to Regulator on Travel Trailer
For a typical travel trailer propane setup you will have 1 of 2 pigtails. The first will have the Type 1 connector (with the green cap) and the other has a 1/4" MPT fitting like what we find on the pigtail # 100473-12. I believe this is what you currently have but I think the end you're seeing looks like the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting # 204120-MBS and I think the white plastic piece is part of the back-check. Yes, you will want to use some sort of thread sealer like part # LT37482 or pipe tape like part # A05-0265 on the NPT fittings inside of the MB Sturgis Single Stage Propane Regulator part # 108072. As a general rule, all NPT fittings should have some sort of thread sealer or pipe tape on them.
