Today on our 2014 Toyota Corolla, we have our NO Square Bars roof rack. It comes in three parts. Our NO square bar, part number INB127. Our foot pack, INSU-K5. And our fit kit, INK306. We have a first front bar installed.
I'll show you how to install our back bar. It's the same set up as the front. We have our foot pack. We have our fit kit bracket. I'll slide that right on the bolt, right into place.
We have our lock bracket. Slide that on. Then we have our locking nut. We'll just thread that into place. inaudible 00:00:51 started, so we can put it on the vehicle.
I want to push down on our thread stud, that way it opens the clamp. We can slide it on. Then we want to go to our instructions for the measurement for how far this needs to be. We found the center of our bar earlier, so I can start with my measurement there. I go to the beginning edge of our bracket. For those measurements, you can find those in our instructions.
Last but not least, for our foot pack we put our pad in place. To protect our cargo, we'll just put our rubber end cap on. Now I have our other side, passenger door open, I want to have both doors open to put this in place, because the clamp will go underneath half of the door. Now that I have that set in place, go to our instructions we find our next measurement. It gives us a measurement from where the doors meet here in the middle, to the middle of our bracket. In this case, we're supposed to be at 17 and 3/4, so I have to move up. I'm going to do the same measurement on the other side. Again, from the center of where our doors meet, to the center of our bottom bracket. Now that I have this side in place, I'm going to go ahead and tighten it down. I'll tell you what I'm doing on the other side. I just want to get this side snug. I'll come over and check my measurement again, one more time, just in case I moved it, and tighten it down. It looks good. Just want to make sure we got our clamp on our door. It never hurts to keep measuring, just in case you move something in your process. Now that we've got this in place, I'm going to go ahead and tighten. Before I do that, I want to make sure our locking brackets are facing in the right direction. Flip that up and I'll tighten this down. It's a little passed snug, and I just go back and forth until I get the desired tightness, so I am sure that the bar won't go anywhere. Now that I'm happy with where I've got it, I'll unlock the nut here, so I can push my spring in. I'll take my key and lock it in place. That way it's not going to go anywhere. I'll do the same thing to the other side. If you're having trouble with this, it's just a slight turn and then you'll be able to push it in. Now that we've got everything locked in place, that's our look at our NO Square Bars roof rack, on our 2014 Toyota Corolla.
