Aerodynamic JetFlow Design
The JetStream's asymmetrical JetFlow shape and built-in WindRidge helps to control air flow over and under the bar. This dramatically reduces wind noise and vibration - even at highway speeds - and eliminates the need to add a fairing to your roof rack. The aero-style bar also reduces drag to help maintain fuel efficiency.
Strong, Durable Construction
The JetStream crossbars are made of anodized aluminum with internal JetTruss extrusions. These extrusions strengthen the bars without significantly increasing their weight. Additionally, because the bars are aluminum and have a black powder coat finish, they won't rust or corrode so you can leave them on your roof year-round.
Hassle-Free Installation
Each JetStream crossbar has a bottom channel that allows you to mount it to any of the Yakima StreamLine towers - BaseLine, RidgeLine, SkyLine, or TimberLine. The rubber strip in the channel can be cut down to the exact size needed for installation and then re-installed in the channel. This helps keep dirt out of the bar and reduces wind noise.
Etched measurements along the bottom channel help you center the bar on your roof. Simply use the ruler on each end of the bar to ensure the towers are spaced properly in the channel.
Once you have the correct measurements, install the brackets in the bottom channel, set the bar on top of your towers, and tighten it in place with the torque tool (included with your towers).
Channel-Mounted and Clamp-On Accessories
JetStream crossbars have built-in top channels that allow you to carry channel-mounted accessories on your roof. Simply push down on the rubber SmartFill strips and slide your gear into the channel - no need to remove or cut the strip.
You can also attach most universal, clamp-on accessories and carriers to the bars.
Maximum Cargo Carrying Capacity
The JetStream is a full-length crossbar that extends past your Yakima towers. The increased length gives you more space to mount accessories and carriers to your roof rack.

Versatile BarBed
The BaseLine's BarBed is specifically designed to work with Yakima's entire line of crossbars.
The BarBed is curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of the CoreBar and JetStream crossbar. The CoreBar includes brackets that slide over the bar and secure to the towers with bolts. The JetStream attaches directly to the tower with bolts.
The towers also work with Yakima RoundBars with adapters . The adapters slide over the bars and secure to the towers with bolts.
The crossbars mount to the BaseLine towers with the included torque tool. The tool clicks 3 times once you've reached the correct amount of torque so you don't have to worry about over- or under-tightening. This is the only tool you will need to secure the bars to the towers and the towers to your roof.
Adjustable Pitch and Toe Angle
The pitch and toe angle of each tower adjusts to provide a level mounting surface and to ensure the rack is seated correctly on your roof. To set up, install the towers on your crossbars and place them so the bottoms of the towers are facing up. Next, adjust the pitch and toe angle to the correct position as indicated by your fit kit's instruction manual. The pitch adjustments are labeled A, B, and C, and the toe angle adjustments are labelled 1, 2, and 3. Once these are set place the rack on your roof.
Secure Installation with DropHook System
The towers install with custom-fit BaseClips . To mount a tower remove the cover, open the door inside the assembly, and attach the BaseClip to the hook inside the tower. The clip adjusts on 3 axes as you tighten it to ensure a safe and secure fit. Once the clip is tightened down, close the door to secure the clip in place.
Same Key System Locks
BaseLine towers are compatible with Yakima SKS lock cores (Y07204 - sold separately) that allow you to secure the roof rack to your roof. The SKS locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Yakima products keyed alike.

Awesome rack system!!! Glass top Edge went from KC to Crystal River FL. With two bote boards loaded on. #1 be sure to check the torque on the clamps randomly per the instructions.
They didn't loosen much but one did a bit.
I waited several weeks for roof rack to arrive after ordering online. I am accustomed to Thule racks, but could not find any towers/bases to fit the 2019 Santa Fe. Once here, the Yakima rack mounted with ease and I look forward to hauling kayaks or basket on the roof.

Stephen - 07/08/2021I find it unbelievable that I order the Yakima Baseline Towers and etrailer sent me a set of towers that had been previously returned by someone else. The towers came in the shipping box that everything else came in, basically tossed in. You could tell they had been returned because each tower had screwdriver marks on it because the previous owner couldn’t get the covers off and attempted to pry them off. I’m assuming they got frustrated and just send them back damaged.
When I buy something “New” I expect it to be new, in it’s original box -> and I would like to be the one to damage them.
Very disappointed in etrailer for charging me full price and pawning off damaged goods.
Jenny N - 04/18/2022I really like the look. These are quieter than the square bars with a fairing in my other pickup. I like the way the brackets fit the molding and don’t interfere with the rubber seal. I was able to put the bars anywhere I wanted, and I did not follow the recommended front to back placement so it would better fit my cartop carrier box and work for a canoe with my goalpost in the hitch receiver.
I am thrilled this got delivered sooner than anticipated! It was quite easy to install once you started actually putting it together and measuring everything out. I like that this can easily be removed and installed onto the vehicle.
Emma S - 06/29/2021Everything was perfect and relatively easy to setup. Ì bought from etrailer due to the actual manufacturer being out of stock, I was skeptical when I ordered but very glad I did. Would 100% recommend etrailer.
etrailer had what I needed for my Yakima baseline rack when everyone else was sold out and on backorder for MONTHS. They followed up with an email when it was shipped out as well as when it was delivered. I will definitely buy from them again.
Baseline towers are designed really well and the adjustability to fit almost any naked roof is really impressive. I would have given them five starts but the hand-held hex torque driver seemed to fit some of the adjustment hardware better than others even in the same base tower. It started to slip inside one of the hex bolts, so I tightened really slowly and gradually and that made the torque clicking not work. Ultimately, I over-tightened one of the towers and it started to flex the door jam sightly. If it’s available, I recommend using your own torque wrench with the correct allen bit/extension.
The rack system seems very good, but time will tell, of course. The installation is difficult and time consuming. I purchased the system needed from etrailer website with guaranteed to fit pieces. I would call myself a very experienced do-it-yourselfer. I followed directions slowly, carefully, and exactly, yet there were problems. The video for installation given for my exact order did not match the printed and actual assembly and installation directions. The baseclips that were guaranteed for my model vehicle were actually for a different model vehicle according to the enclosed sheet ... however they did work anyway but caused some "looking up" and some confusion during assembly. I was careful to assemble exactly to measurements given ... and once that is all done and tightened and "sealed up" you put them on the roof, only to find that they could have been spaced a bit wider for a perfect fit. They are fine enough and we'll see if they stay tight to the vehicle. If not will need to take it all apart and widen the spacing.
It is excellent that basically only one tool that is provided with the racks is needed. And also that each part must "click" when properly tightened. That adds reassurance and satisfaction while assembling.
There are so many models of vehicles and it is not easy to figure all this out. etrailer has a very helpful website, response, and videos to help ... but my review is to emphasize that the instructions are not perfect. One needs lots of patience, common sense, and perhaps re-assembly for a perfect outcome.
The rack looks solid. It’s the perfect fit for my 2020 Ford Ranger. I’m so glad I waited for a back ordered item because the 50 inch bars are a much better fit than the 53” bars on the Thule kit. My only complaint is that the fit guide was not accurate on the Yakima website. The suggested placement of the baseline towers was at least 3/4 inch off on the front bar and 1/2 inch off on the rear bar. Not a big deal unless you’re upset with the cut rubber insert that is placed inside the bar rail before you place the bars on the vehicle for attachment. That’s if you follow each step in the directions. If I were to do it again, I would have place led the bars on the vehicle before cutting the rubber stripping. The bars sit quite high off the roof. Not terribly high, but higher than the Rhino Vortex 2500 I had on my Ford Focus ST. Quality of bar seems good, but quality on cap on baseline towers seemed a bit cheap and figment wasn’t crisp. I found myself wondering if I should have purchased a lock set with the order just to be certain the caps on the baseline towers doesn’t fall off. I don’t think any of these kits are worth the $500 price tag. They’re worth no more than $200. Can’t believe these companies expect consumers to purchase $500 bars every time they upgrade their vehicle, especially all the leasees out there. If I had to buy again I would look for the Rhino Rack. Quality is just as good if not better, and the price is a bit cheaper. They just don’t have a setup for my 2020 Ranger.
The Yakima products are doing great. Just got home yesterday from a 18 day trip using them in Michigan's upper peninsula. Love them. Great products. Thanks again.
I only received a small portion of my order and was told that the entire order was delivered. When I notified etrailer they asked me why I would have signed off on delivery if I didn't receive the full order - I had only signed off for one item and had to provide photos and scans of the delivery slip to explain this to them. When I asked for the balance of my order I was told that it would take an additional 6 months of waiting to receive them. Don't take them at their word, don't trust customer service, don't trust their timelines. Will never order from them again and I will update this review if the balance of my order arrives in late May (6 months later than promised at the time of order).
Jenny N - 01/21/2022Lightweight and actually quite quiet with no attachments on them. With my bike racks there is a fair amount of noise but it doesn't come from just these. Mine is on a 2011 BMW 335.
The towers have worked well, though the cover on one of the baseline towers popped off while I was driving. I luckily recovered it from the side of the road. It probably became loose while strapping down our kayaks. Users should be attentive to this possibility when mounting gear.
Approx 8 month delay getting order.
Crossbar end cap has fallen off - I expected better from Yakima for the price.

Getting a roof rack that fit my hyundai perfectly was a challenge but this worked! The setup is kind of complicated, and one of my plastic covers actually flew off in my first drive, but it still works well and is now easy to set up (once you do it the first time)!
This is a great roof rack. I carry two Heavy Old Town kayaks with no problem. It has never loosened itself or shifted where it’s attached to the door recesses.
Customer service was excellent, they called me to tell me one item was backordered and how long it would be. Package was shipped with enough packing material. Install was pretty easy, some of the Yakima measurements in the manual are a couple inches off but no big deal. This will be used to carry a box for when the family takes trips. Can pile all the luggage up top and have more room in the car. I would recommend the Yakima corebar roof rack and etrailer! Their price was lower than 2 other sites I checked.
I though I would love the core bar set up on my truck but I have really grown to love them! Weather it’s bikes, kayaks or a ladder it works great! And even better it looks great! Quieter than Thule square bars and Yakima round bars by far. I would not only buy again but one of the bars was damaged in shipment and etrailer took care of it by sending a new one to replace it right away. Will be buying from them again! Good customer service!!!!
Very happy with our purchase. I love how easily you can remove the entire rack easily. Too bad the locking mechanism comes separately but we are still happy with what we received.
I chose Yakima because I had one in the past and they were always reliable. Thule was my next choice but didn’t like the look of 53’ crossbars on my car. I really appreciated the easy to follow instruction that made installation a breeze. The kit came complete with everything I needed to install right out of the box. I purchased the 2 Hightower bike racks to go with the roof rack system and plan to safely secure both bikes for our trips. It was a bit heavier than I anticipated (combined with the bike carriers) which will hurt my MPG but having easy access to disassemble the bike carriers when not in use made it a no brained. Additionally, I love the look of the system on my car.
Ordered new towers so as to use my old-school round bars (I bought these at least 18 years ago, maybe even earlier) and bike and canoe accessories on a new vehicle (naked roof 2018 CR-V). Installation was tedious, as usual, but not difficult and the written instructions were straightforward. Youtube helpful too but not necessary. Have hauled bikes and the canoe in high wind on the interstate (no more than 65 mph though) on the CR-V and so far so good. Have had excellent results with Yakima racks on 3 vehicles now (2 sedans and now the CR-V) over last 28 yrs. This is my first purchase through etrailer. Very pleased. Good price, excellent service online and via phone, rapid delivery. Highly recommend.
I have a 2004 Toyota Camry, my purpose is to purchase this Yakima Baseline System for Rooftop tent. My 23Zero rooftop tent weighs 130 lb, so far it's super solid. I did some minor adjustments based on the shape and level of the roof when mounting it.
It was difficult to find this rack in stock anywhere, even Yakima's site. You had ALL the parts in stock! Standard delivery was fast and arrived a day earlier than expected. The whole order process was super easy. I am excited to see and test the fit after Christmas (these were gifts). Thank you etrailer!

The yakima jetstream crossbar looks beautiful. Quality is great. Took my vehicle for a test drive, and i didnt hear anything loose or broken from the bars. Very satisfied with the product and the instructions were great. It was my first time installing a roof rack too.
Bought as a pkg for my 2017 Golf R with Round Bars since I had a bunch of Yakima bike racks and a canoe gunwale rack for my old Yakima set up. Installation was easy with good instructions. All measurements from the Yakima site appear to be spot on.

How do you go wrong with Yakima? The system works great on the roof of my 2015 Chevy 'High Country' Crew cab. I am using it to support a cage style system that holds my 'handyman jack' as well as a spare 20" wheel & tire system.

The installation was super easy, and despite a long time stuck in shipping the delivery itself was extremely fast, and the package arrived in spotless condition. The manuals were very easy to follow, and the end result is absolutely amazing. I love that there's a rubber piece in the top rail that doesn't need to be cut, which makes it a very flush and smooth fit. I also love the modularity and the weight that it can handle, especially for the stuff i plan on carrying.

I have truly enjoyed this system. It allows our family of five plus our dog to stretch out in the car while our gear is secured on the roof. It takes a bit to mount it but I want it secure and it does fine with a roof box at interstate speeds. I absolutely recommend this system.
I purchased the Baseline towers with base clip fit kit and jetstream crossbars. They were great quality and the instruction materials included for assembly and installation were great. I was able to assemble and install on my Lexus CT 200 in about an hour. It looks nice too!
This was great. Pretty easy to install, and it works great. The racks look great on the car, so we're ready to start hauling what we need...I just wish we'd had them before Christmas when we went to get the tree. The item sent was exactly what I needed, it came quickly (despite any supply chain concerns I had), and the instructions were clear enough. No complaints.

Perfect fit. I'm very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the roof rack. I'm looking forward to getting my bike, kayak, and/or SUP on the roof of my Genesis G80 soon. The HUGE box that was used for shipping seemed to be excessive. I don't know if you have more appropriately sized boxes to ship roof racks in?
End caps came off but love the bars. Get an extra set just in case. My Yakima cargo box is nice and safe attached to it.

The roof rack has been awesome! It has been really handy to be able to attach our bike rack attachment, kayak bars or traveling cargo carrier. My only complaint is that the end caps fell off somewhere along one of our many adventures and looks a bit disheveled. Other than the appearance it has been very versatile and we love it!

Great service from a great company
I have not bought car roof racks for decades--back when there were those very useful rain gutters. So I was shocked with the high prices. But what you get today is much more carefully engineered with a complicated construction. This Yakima version even comes with a manual 3.5 mm hex driver which turns out to be a torque wrench too. You use it 16 times, torquing to its limit, in installing the two cross rails on the four towers. Years ago you installed the towers where you wanted them on the rain gutters and adjusted the cross rails by sight. No more. You must go on line to Yakima. You must get the precisely engineered dimensions for your exact vehicle. You even adjust the towers for the roof slope and any toe-in of the roof line. Pay attention to the precise instructions. The result is very solid. I wish that I had more space between the cross rails. There is room for another 6 or 8 inches given where the door openings on my 2019 Toyota Highlander are spaced. But then the rear base clips would be different and that logistics would add yet more to the price. I am confident that I can secure a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood on the cross rails. And I will find my vehicle in the mall parking lot easier with those good looking rails. While I am happy with the end product, I wish the vendors had given more explanation of the fixed dimensions of today's installations. And I could not get 60 inch cross rails on any of the versions that fit my LE's bases.

etrailer installation videos were very helpful in selecting the product and first installation, although in practice, minor adjustments to method were required. Now after more than a dozen set ups, mounting the crossbars takes 15 minutes, and taking them off, 10. The system is well made, and when mounted, precise, strong, and reliable. Expensive perhaps compared to alternatives, but well worth the money. Used to carry a 50# sailboard 40 miles to the beach on weekends. ('11 Honda Fit)
One minor shortcoming: rubber sheet glued to base clips where they touch the car body have torn and moved sideways 1/16", but expect will be easily replaced with readily available 1/16" sheet rubber (e.g., shower pan liner) when the time comes.
Used in rain at least once, (sustained 60mph), with no leaks.
The instructions were different for another set of bars. Was a pain to get right...all the measurements on Yakima were off...I figured it out on my own...should have got Thule or nicer bars ..end caps were not good either...flawed fit... otherwise will do just not happy with the product perse or instructions...delivery good...will see how they do.
Very happy with the Yakima roof top rack kit for my 2017 Ford Edge with glass roof. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but after reading through them a couple of times while working with the product they became much clearer. The Yakima fit site was helpful as well. After the initial cross bar mounting measurements and set up, attaching and detaching the racks from the roof is a very simple process.

Really like these and the other parts I got. Easy to install.
The videos here were great and really helped me install this onto a bare roof Traverse. Everything fits on nicely and I'm very happy with it.
My only complaint is with Yakima's install design. In order to slide the bars and adjust their position, you have to loosen a bolt on the bottom of the towers. Which means every time I had to slightly adjust the fitting to make sure the towers were in the right spot, we had to undo the whole thing, loosen, slide the bars, tighten and put back on the roof. If they moved that bolt to the top, it would have saved a lot of time and made life much easier.
But the overall product is great, it definitely beat paying thousands to upgrade to a higher trim model for the roof rails.
I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT which has the non-functional roof side bars. Etrailer.com helped me figure this out and gave me several options that would work. As I already have Yakima bike racks - I wanted to stick with the brand. The price on etrailer.com was the same as Yakima but had free shipping and no tax - awesome.
The Yakima product came with thorough and easy to understand instructions. I was able to get the track installed and working in about an hour - and that was taking it slow and double checking everything. I was very pleased with the fit and finish.
After a test run, there was no wind noise or issue with the rack. Looking forward to taking a road trip next month with it!

Overall I am happy with the rack on my 2011 Nissan Juke. The dimensions provided bt Yakima for setting for setting the width and toe in for the rear bar didn't fit my vehicle. I had to adjust them a bit to get it to fit. No problem.
The Yakima roof rack system for my 2019 CX9 with flush mounted rails worked out great, and etrailer customer service was excellent. My first choice was to purchase the Thule system but after digging deeper, I realized that the Yakima was much easier to install. Changing my mind to Yakima was very easy even though the Thule system was almost ready to ship. One suggestion that I think will help with the installation. Add some blue masking tape to the backside of the inner ridge fit clip to temporarily hold it in place. Once secured, the tape can be removed.

The racks fit well and secure on 2021 Palisade. A little cumbersome to assemble but a little patients goes a long way. Also 4 pieces were robbed from one box.

These bars are outstanding. They were purchased for a Jeep grand cherokee '18. I had previously purchased from another brand, but the whistle noise was constant and very noticeable. These are completely quiet, I am glad I changed to the yakima bars. Installation was also much easier, and more "flush" mounting with the yakima brand. Glad to do business with etrailer!
Put this on a 2021 GMC AT4. Use it to carry two kayaks. Rock solid after installed. Almost no wind noise at 70 mph.

Great design for a roof rack system.easy to put on and take off. Use it to carry 9-11 foot surf fishing rods. Takes two minutes to put on when I am ready to go fishing.

I have not bought car roof racks for decades--back when there were those very useful rain gutters. So I was shocked with the high prices. But what you get today is much more carefully engineered with a complicated construction. This Yakima version even comes with a manual 3.5 mm hex driver which turns out to be a torque wrench too. You use it 16 times, torquing to its limit, in installing the two cross rails on the four towers. Years ago you installed the towers where you wanted them on the rain gutters and adjusted the cross rails by sight. No more. You must go on line to Yakima. You must get the precisely engineered dimensions for your exact vehicle. You even adjust the towers for the roof slope and any toe-in of the roof line. Pay attention to the precise instructions. The result is very solid. I wish that I had more space between the cross rails. There is room for another 6 or 8 inches given where the door openings on my 2019 Toyota Highlander are spaced. But then the rear base clips would be different and that logistics would add yet more to the price. I am confident that I can secure a 4 X 8 sheet of plywood on the cross rails. And I will find my vehicle in the mall parking lot easier with those good looking rails. While I am happy with the end product, I wish the vendors had given more explanation of the fixed dimensions of today's installations. Well made and easy to install
Everything came in okay, instructions were very clear. Very easy assembly. the kit was completely built. Only one problem, I went to put the last adapter clamp on and it would not thread in. The hole was a size too big and the threads were barely there.

Great price and quality. The instructions are a little tricky, even for those who are mechanically inclined. But that's partly because of the several adjustable features (like pitch of the cross bar and toe-in adjustment of the foot of the tower). But those adjustable features are also what makes the Yakima superior to some other brands. Even Thule, I think.

I am totally happy with the Yakima racks. I ordered the Core Bars for the 200lb capacity and the first order arrived damaged. I called etrailer and they provided excellent customer service and had replacements to me and double boxed for protection in 2 days! Very happy with the customer service at etrailer.com! Only reason for 4 stars is that the Core Bars are coated in plastic and after mounting my Malone j Style Kayak carriers, the plastic coating gets damaged. Maybe this would not happen with other attachments but this is my experience. Both products worked great, just not a perfect match and Core Bars would be better if Aluminum and not plastic coated, to eliminate damage to the coating...

I choose etrailer simply because they mailed to APO. I’m a AD SM, and a lot of companies don’t shop to APO. As soon as I ordered my product, I received an email as a courtesy from etrailer letting me know I had an individual that would be tracking my product every step of the way, reassuring a smooth process. The roof rack has been awesome! It has been really handy to be able to attach our bike rack attachment, kayak bars or traveling cargo carrier. My only complaint is that the end caps fell off somewhere along one of our many adventures and looks a bit disheveled. Other than the appearance it has been very versatile and we love it!
I waited several weeks for roof rack to arrive after ordering online. I am accustomed to Thule racks, but could not find any towers/bases to fit the 2019 Santa Fe. Once here, the Yakima rack mounted with ease and I look forward to hauling kayaks or basket on the roof.

Baseline towers for a 2010 Toyota Prius. These mounted just fine after some minor adjustments to the surface mount, being sure to center these across the vehicle. They latch onto the door frame, and with the included torque wrench, these appear to be very stable and secure. Delivery and packaging was very good from etrailer. I did notice an annoying whistling at low speeds, and determined that the small linear spacing between the tower "doors" and the main unit was causing airflow to make noise. I used Gorilla tape to cover these linear spaces, and the noise subsided.
The team at Etrailer is awesome! Understandably with our current situation things are different. However, despite delays due to Covid, Nicole kept in contact with me and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Other companies need to take some notes from these guys to understand how business is done! And whatever you all are paying Nicole, it’s not enough. She went above and beyond what was expected! Schmittb3b5 - 09/07/2018So far this has been a great product except for the cover on one of the legs flew off and got all scuffed up on the road -- luckily my husband saw it and stopped but other than that it seems to work as it should, unfortunately, we have only been able to use it a few times. But so far so good. We will be looking for accessories to add to it.

Solid installation with jetstream crossbars; added the crossbar pads for softer fit during inverted kayak transport. Shipment arrived days early - perfect timing. Height of towers easily clears the shark fin antenna on CX5 vehicle. Now have option down the road on readily adding ski and snowboard attachment to free up internal cargo space. Might want to consider 50" crossbars if you want a cleaner look and don't need the extra width.
One year later and I still LOVE it. I left it on all year. Only had to tighten it down once. Countless kayak trips with this rig. So happy with the investment. It felt like a lot of money at first but the value I've received is well worth it.

The 50” jetstream cross bars were perfect for my 2019 Ford Ranger with my ARE cap. They are paired with the Yakima Skyline towers and appropriate landing pads (protip: call etrailer when you order to ensure you have the correct setup;)
These cross bars are SILENT on my cap. Zero wind noise. My daughter and I installed them on a Friday (I do recommend watching etrailer’s installation video in addition to the paper instructions) and left for a 700 mile weekend road trip the next day to pick up a kayak, paddle with friends downstate then drop her off at summer camp.
Even with empty Yakima Jaylows on top, no wind noise. Even with a boat in the Jaylows, no wind noise.

I have a 10th gen Civic sedan and I was dying to get the perfect roof rack set for my car. At the time of my purchase there was not many visuals of what the rack system looked like on this car.
I purchased the:

•Yakima 46in fairing
Overall I love how it looks on my car! During This COVID pandemic I have been camping more, and this is the perfect foundation! First off, the 46in fairing is the perfect fit for the 10th gen civic! Wind noise is low also with the help of the aerodynamic crossbars. My main concern was the fuel efficiency. On long road trips I still average 38-40 mpg with the rack on. My daily commutes I average 34 mpg without Econ on.

The bars are sturdy, aerodynamic and super strong. I bought this to fit a Yakima Skybox 16 and these worked great. The measurement ticks on the bottom assist with getting the box centered and have a great gasket system that you fit yourself. These mounted pretty quick even in 20 degree weather.

The JetStream crossbars are awesome. Unfortunately the box that these came ' in was damaged, and when I opened it both crossbars had scratches. It is only cosmetic, but when you pay top dollars for a good product you expect that it will be well packaged so is not damaged when shipped. If it wasn’t for the damaged packaging and scratches I would give it 5 starts.

Overall these are a great product and much needed. I had a Tiguan with the side rails but needed cross rails for my gear. 1 year later and still love my Yakima JetStream system. I've mostly used them to transport my kayak however I've also been able to transport some big box store items as well. They are very versatile. There is a t-track option as well as wrap around attachments. I've use ladder attachments, eyebolts, and Thule Hullavator in t-track. I've used Malone MegaWing and Yakima Skybox as wrap around attachment. What I really like about the t-track system is that you do not need to cut out the rubber track insert. You simply slide over the rubber, which allows you to adjust your system, on the fly, to load what you need to carry.

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT which has the non-functional roof side bars. Etrailer.com helped me figure this out and gave me several options that would work. As I already have Yakima bike racks - I wanted to stick with the brand. The price on etrailer.com was the same as Yakima but had free shipping and no tax - awesome. Product arrived quickly!
I went with the Yakima 60" Jetstream cross bars, baseline towers, and the appropriate pads and clips.
The Yakima product came with thorough and easy to understand instructions. I was able to get the track installed and working in about an hour - and that was taking it slow and double checking everything. I was very pleased with the fit and finish.
After a test run, there was no wind noise or issue with the rack. Looking forward to taking a road trip next month with it!

I've had 3 f150 trucks, every one required a different rack system. Tried to update my old rack with new towers and clips. It worked, but not happy with needing a tool to tighten the racks, and was never real confident about the fit. Add in the distorted door and wind noise. Switched to a roof mounted system.

I recently purchased a rack system for my 1979 Ford Bronco to haul our new Kayaks. And believe me it was not easy to "fit" a vehicle as old as this.
I had some interesting challenges - my truck has a 3" lift and only clears my garage entrance by about 1.5 inches, so whatever I got had to be easily removable (at least in the front). I also wanted it to be multi functional so that I could carry other stuff as well, and the Yakima/Thule systems are great for that. Lastly, I wanted whatever I put on the truck to look good as I have put a lot of time and $ into fixing up this old truck and I didn't want it to look cheezey.....
Thanks to the good folks at etrailer I ended up with somewhat of a hybrid approach (my choice) but it worked out exactly as I envisioned it. I purchased the Thule Xsporter Pro system for the rear which works well with only minor modifications to the truck. I can lower it easily so I can get the truck into the garage without removing the system altogether. I really like that the tailgate is still functional with the system installed as some others I had in mind were bumper or hitch attached and would not allow use of the tailgate.... And, lastly it looks nice enough to just leave it on all the time.
On the front I chose the Yakima JetStream cross bar held up by a pair of Yakima SkyLine Towers and Landing Pads which I chose because I can easily remove the crossbar/towers to get the truck into my garage. The Landing Pads have covers for when not in use and are small enough to not be too noticeable.
I also added the security locks for peace of mind.
I have added 3 pictures, the first shows the Landing Pads without the towers & crossbar. You can also see the Xsporter Pro on the rear in its lowered position. The 2nd shot is a closeup of the Skyline Tower. The 3rd picture shows the entire system installed ready for my kayaks (or whatever).

I ordered the Yakima "aero" bars , baseline towers, and BaseClip kits for my 2019 Honda Civic 5 door. While expensive the quality is excellent and it was a pleasure to assemble such a high quality and precision engineered product. The Yakima rack system for my 2015 Ford Fusion is an awesome product! I hadn't needed to buy aftermarket racks in many years. These are a super solid, beefy, and very well made product. I am very impressed with the quality and fit. Yakima has obviously put lots of design time into them. And etrailer does an outstanding job of making sure you get the right product for your specific need.
I chose this rack specifically because of the spread between the bars - 32" - and for the higher weight limit, as I'm carrying a fishing kayak.

Installed these with timberline mounts to factory side rails on a 4Runner. The timberline mounts provided an extra 9” of length, over the factory crossbar spread. The aluminum section of the jetstream bars is 70”. The additional plastic caps make the oal a little over 72”. So far it works well to carry two paddle boards side by side. The cross bars are the width of the body panels and haven’t hit my head yet. etrailer shipped quickly. Customer service was great! Spent about 30 minutes on hold to talk to someone, but Kayla was super helpful, and well informed. Worth the wait.

I bought a set of baseline towers and a jet stream crossbar and mounted them on the roof of my 2018 Tacoma. I have another crossbar on the back of my truck cap. Have had base clips come loose twice almost loosing our Kayaks. Have moved them back a little to see if this helps reduce wind upward pressure on front of kayaks.

Customer service was excellent, they called me to tell me one item was backordered and how long it would be. Package was shipped with enough packing material. Install was pretty easy, some of the Yakima measurements in the manual are a couple inches off but no big deal. This will be used to carry a box for when the family takes trips. Can pile all the luggage up top and have more room in the car. I would recommend the Yakima corebar roof rack and etrailer! Their price was lower than 2 other sites I checked.

I though I would love the core bar set up on my truck but I have really grown to love them! Weather it’s bikes, kayaks or a ladder it works great! And even better it looks great! Quieter than Thule square bars and Yakima round bars by far. I’m using these towers in conjunction with the JetStream cross bars. Assembly and setup was easy, all the tools you need are provided, except perhaps a tape measure for mounting. Looks and feels solid and well made. This is my second set of Yakima towers and cross bars. I plan to use this setup for an old roof top hard shell case and for my mountain bike to get to the trail head.
After completing the installation I took it out for a spin to check for wind noise at highway speeds. No discernible noise, I’m very happy about that as I really don’t want to remove these when not needed. For reference these are mounted on a 2019 Subaru Forester Touring with factory raised rails. Plenty of clearance for attaching equipment and gear.
Side note: the gentleman that assisted me on the phone while ordering was very pleasant and helpful, got me the right products very quickly as I was in a time crunch. Two thumbs up!

etrailer installation videos were very helpful in selecting the product and first installation, although in practice, minor adjustments to method were required. Now after more than a dozen set ups, mounting the crossbars takes 15 minutes, and taking them off, 10. The system is well made, and when mounted, precise, strong, and reliable. Expensive perhaps compared to alternatives, but well worth the money. Used to carry a 50# sailboard 40 miles to the beach on weekends. ('11 Honda Fit)
One minor shortcoming: rubber sheet glued to base clips where they touch the car body have torn and moved sideways 1/16", but expect will be easily replaced with readily available 1/16" sheet rubber (e.g., shower pan liner) when the time comes.
Used in rain at least once, (sustained 60mph), with no leaks.

I ordered the yakima rack but had to question myself if it would fit on my Honda Accord coupe so I contacted etrailer & Vicki helped me with my order and stated if it didn't fit properly that etrailer would take care of returning the product free of charge if it didn't fir properly. Excellent product. These bars are very quiet and look great on our truck. Assembly and installation was straightforward. We've used these bars to secure our large Yakima car top carrier and have traveled on several trips to the mountains and cabin with no issues. I suggest ordering an extra set of end caps as we've lost one in the car wash. However, have had no problems with the bars when going through the car wash.
As always, I GREATLY appreciate the superior product support that etrailer.com provides. They have the best product content on the web, hands down.

I needed crossbars for my new 2018 Mazda CX5, which came with flush side rails. The Yakima crossbars, along with the RidgeLine Towers and the the vehicle specific kit worked great. The installation (10-15 min) is super easy. They look cool, and performed great (I strapped 160-lbs rooftop tent on them!). Removing them is also super easy (10 min tops). Highly recommend.

Very happy with the Yakima roof top rack kit for my 2017 Ford Edge with glass roof. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but after reading through them a couple of times while working with the product they became much clearer. The Yakima fit site was helpful as well. After the initial cross bar mounting measurements and set up, attaching and detaching the racks from the roof is a very simple process.

Yakima Jetstream cross bars.. nice bars worth the extra money. can be adjusted for pitch/angle of attack to "tune" the air profile.. mine have absolutely no high speed wind noise or whistling.. rubber weather strip underneath further smoothes the bar profile.. quietest roof rack system I have ever owned..

I chose the Yakima roof rack, because It spanned 50 inches, rather than the leading competitor's 47 inches, making it better for tying down 4 ft x 8 ft sheets of building material. It also seemed to be about half the price. It took me about 2 hours to put it all together and mount it on my car. The instructions were all visual and there was one little pic I didn't understand, but the equipment seemed to go together correctly anyway. Now that it's adjusted, it should be fairly easy to remove and replace next time. I did need to put on super tacky gloves to get the covers off. Although it seemed unnecessarily complicated, I would still choose this product again.

These load bars are GREAT! I specifically bought these because they can comfortably handle any kind of sheet goods, including baltic birch plywood which comes in 5'x5' panels; it's much easier to securely strap down plywood when it's not hanging off the ends of the load bars.
These extruded aluminum bars are light enough that they're not a hassle to install and remove - I only put them on briefly when I need them, so I've had them on and off a dozen or so times and it's easily a one-person task.
They are of course very long, so I can't deny that there's more opportunity to bang your head on them when getting in/out of the car, but they are no wider than the footprint of the car (Subaru Outback) itself so they're not at risk of hitting a pedestrian or anything.

As usual, Yakima quality and design are unsurpassed. Easy to mount as well. I have not used them as much as I expected for two reasons. On my pickup they are way up there. Need a ladder to access them. Also, the carwash I use requires that they be removed. So, I leave them off for the most part.

My roof rack was for my Prius V. Following all directions, the roof rack went up fine and fits tightly...no worries there. And, the rack just seems too far forward because it slopes down. I can probably adjust this out by widening the front slightly and pushing the whole rig back maybe 6" to a foot.
Basically, it is a workable rack and salvages parts from an older rack. It does what I want.

I cannot thank them, and eTrailer, enough. Regarding the roof rack itself, I have now installed it and can vouch that the installation was a breeze. All parts fit and the instructions were correct. Customer service was excellent, they called me to tell me one item was backordered and how long it would be. Package was shipped with enough packing material. Install was pretty easy, some of the Yakima measurements in the manual are a couple inches off but no big deal. This will be used to carry a box for when the family takes trips. Can pile all the luggage up top and have more room in the car. I would recommend the Yakima corebar roof rack and etrailer! Their price was lower than 2 other sites I checked.

The instructions were different for another set of bars. Was a pain to get right...all the measurements on Yakima were off...I figured it out on my own...should have got Thule or nicer bars ..end caps were not good either...flawed fit... otherwise will do just not happy with the product perse or instructions...delivery good...will see how they do.

I choose etrailer simply because they mailed to APO. I’m a AD SM, and a lot of companies don’t shop to APO. As soon as I ordered my product, I received an email as a courtesy from etrailer letting me know I had an individual that would be tracking my product every step of the way, reassuring a smooth process. Their site functionality was easy, their customer service was great. I wanted to know if they had bike racks that would fit my cross bars, I got a email right away with a suggestion and a link that would fit my needs. The roof rack has been awesome! It has been really handy to be able to attach our bike rack attachment, kayak bars or traveling cargo carrier. My only complaint is that the end caps fell off somewhere along one of our many adventures and looks a bit disheveled. Other than the appearance it has been very versatile and we love it!

etrailer installation videos were very helpful in selecting the product and first installation, although in practice, minor adjustments to method were required. Now after more than a dozen set ups, mounting the crossbars takes 15 minutes, and taking them off, 10. The system is well made, and when mounted, precise, strong, and reliable. Expensive perhaps compared to alternatives, but well worth the money. Used to carry a 50# sailboard 40 miles to the beach on weekends. ('11 Honda Fit)
One minor shortcoming: rubber sheet glued to base clips where they touch the car body have torn and moved sideways 1/16", but expect will be easily replaced with readily available 1/16" sheet rubber (e.g., shower pan liner) when the time comes.
Used in rain at least once, (sustained 60mph), with no leaks.

Ordered new towers and clips so as to use my old-school round bars (I bought these at least 18 years ago, maybe even earlier) and bike and canoe accessories on a new vehicle (naked roof 2018 CR-V). Installation was tedious, as usual, but not difficult and the written instructions were straightforward. Youtube helpful too but not necessary. Have hauled bikes and the canoe in high wind on the interstate (no more than 65 mph though) on the CR-V and so far so good. Have had excellent results with Yakima racks on 3 vehicles now (2 sedans and now the CR-V) over last 28 yrs. This is my first purchase through etrailer. Very pleased. Good price, excellent service online and via phone, rapid delivery. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the Yakima roof top rack kit for my 2017 Ford Edge with glass roof. The instructions were a little confusing at first, but after reading through them a couple of times while working with the product they became much clearer. The Yakima fit site was helpful as well. After the initial cross bar mounting measurements and set up, attaching and detaching the racks from the roof is a very simple process.

He installed it himself said the install was straightforward but the instructions could use a little improvement.

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT which has the non-functional roof side bars. Etrailer.com helped me figure this out and gave me several options that would work. As I already have Yakima bike racks - I wanted to stick with the brand. The price on etrailer.com was the same as Yakima but had free shipping and no tax - awesome.
The Yakima product came with thorough and easy to understand instructions. I was able to get the track installed and working in about an hour - and that was taking it slow and double checking everything. I was very pleased with the fit and finish.
After a test run, there was no wind noise or issue with the rack. Looking forward to taking a road trip next month with it!

One year later and everything works well. I had a problem early on where the rubber protection for one of the j clips from the base towers came off. Contacted etrailer and they sent me a whole new assembly direct from Yakima. Thanks for the prompt response and service!

So far this has been a great product except for the cover on one of the legs flew off and got all scuffed up on the road -- luckily my husband saw it and stopped but other than that it seems to work as it should, unfortunately, we have only been able to use it a few times. But so far so good. We will be looking for accessories to add to it.

These work well but were not as easy to put on as I expected. My car is small. I ended up having to increase the distance between the two towers by 1/4" to make them fit but now they seem great!

After a year, the racks are holding up nicely and still have a solid fit. I only put them on the car when needed. It just takes a few minutes to set them up and go.
