The SquareBar Evo crossbars let you create a sturdy, reliable roof rack for your vehicle. Each bar extends past the roof rack feet to maximize carrying capacity. The SquareBars require a Thule foot pack to mount the rack to your roof. If you have a vehicle with a naked roof you will also require a vehicle-specific fit kit .
Strong, Durable Construction
The SquareBars are made of heavy-duty, rust-resistant galvanized steel. They have a black polymer coating that provides extra grip to help prevent your cargo from sliding around while you're driving. The polymer coating also helps protect the bars against corrosion so you can leave the SquareBars on your roof year-round.
The bars have plastic endcaps that help keep out water and road debris, and they give your roof rack a finished look.
Hassle-Free Installation
Installation of the SquareBars is quick and easy, and you don't have to do any drilling or vehicle modification. The bars have bottom channels that that accommodate your Thule feet. Etched scales adjacent to the bottom channels let you place the feet in the proper location using the vehicle-specific measurements provided in your fit kit manual. Simply slide each foot to the measurement indicated in the fit kit manual, and place the rack on your vehicle.
For applications that don't require specific measurements provided in a fit kit manual - such as a raised rail - you can center the rack after you place it on your vehicle using a tape measure.
To complete installation on your roof simply tighten a single screw inside each foot using the torque tool included with the foot pack. This single attachment point enables you to secure the crossbar to the foot and the foot to your roof simultaneously.

Thule gutter feet and crossbars are an excellent option for a Tin Top Samurai. I also installed the one key locking knobs. Another top shelf purchase from etrailer.

Jeep Wrangler
Beware of purchases from Etrailer...they offer no returns on opened products. So might say well you could just use and return it...true, but in this case the wind noise is horrific on my Jeep Wrangler and made a two hour ride nearly unbearable. The Thule cross bars are way too loud. They offer no aerodynamics whatsoever.

The bars are as advertised, but arrived 10 full days after you indicated, possibly a post office problem. But, the package only contained one of the 4 end caps for the bars. Please send the other three.

I have ordered quite a bit from Etrailer in the past, but this will be my last order. First, I ordered the Thule Gutter system and specifically ask if the old style square bars would fit the gutter system….answer was yes. In fact, it did not. Then had to order the Evo Square bars. They only come in 60”. Most of my orders come in within three days this order took 10 days, it was sent by snail mail. It arrived and the four end caps were not there and one of the bars had a bend in it. Had to reorder. These EVO bars suck. There is a slot you have to massage to get the bar into, very hard to adjust. Super disappointed in the product from Thule and the shipping service from etrailer. Hate to do it, back to [online stores] etc.

Jeep
I went with this Rola Vortex Cargo Rack with extension for its size and multiple tie down points. I Paired it with the Thule 5 inch rapid gutter feet with square bars because:
To remove the freedom panels.
Square bars are stronger than Aero type bars.
Adjustability of fitment as the roof of the Jeep narrows toward the rear.
When loaded for camping, I want to maintain rearward vision.
Finally, the system met my load requirements. I had weighed the gear that will go onto the rack. And I am at OME specs.
I did not want to use the gutter of the freedom panels to carry weight. Since the panels are removable, it seemed to be a potential weak point structurally.
NOTES:
Because this Rola rack comes in sections, I do not recommend it for “Overlanding”.
And because it comes in sections, some weather proofing is needed. I coated the cargo rack guides with an anti seize grease. The bolts of the cargo clamps should be weather proofed as well.
Over time, the screws will need to be replaced. They will rust.
CONCLUSION
Overall I am happy with this set up. Should work well for general camping and hold up to the easier off road trails. If your plans are to Overland for weeks at a time in all weather conditions on moderate to difficult trails having off camber conditions, then this rack may be problematic over time. And may cause damage to the roof top.

2016 Jeep Wrangler
Very fast delivery. The box in which the bars were shipped was opened on one end. Two of the end caps were missing. Also, I don't know if there are supposed to be a plastic filler strip for the bottom slots in the bars. If there is, I didn't receive those either. Since the towers have 4 end caps in that box, I was not concerned about the two missing from the bars.

- It seems like you have the Thule Rapid Gutter Feet. There are a couple different sizes. The tallest I have is the 11" tall feet # TH93ZR but we also have 8" # TH33ZR and 5" # TH65BJ. These will work with the Thule AeroBlade, WingBar Evo, SquareBar Evo # TH712500, and ProBar load bars.
The measurement is from where the foot mounts to the gutter to the top of the foot where the crossbar would sit.

- I do have a solution for you. Unfortunately, the only part of the rack you would be able to use with the new rack would be the Thule Top Tracks. When Thule redesigned the system they did not make the new feet, crossbars, or fit kits, backwards compatible with their old system. Your new roof rack will consist of the following items:

- That does look pretty iffy in regards to traveling at high speeds on the interstate and there is one thing you can do that I recommend, and that's add a trailer hitch and load extender.
You did not mention what year your Honda Fit was but since load extenders require a 2 inch hitch, if your Honda Fit is a model year 2009 to 2014 you need the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7286 or if you have a 2015 to 2017 Honda Fit you will need the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver
