Narrow 15-Degree Spot Beam
Each LED has a chrome-backed, 15-degree focus lens to concentrate the beam for more focused light. This narrow beam pattern is great for seeing at a distance.
High-Quality Light Output
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. This LED light bar has the capability to produce 1,200 lumens of high-quality, bright light.
Cool-colored light, especially that with a high color temperature, promotes driver alertness, as opposed to warm-colored light, which promotes relaxation. Color temperature is based on chromaticity, which refers to the quality of a color rather than its luminance. Built-In Safeguards

Durable, Waterproof Construction
This lightweight LED light bar is constructed of rustproof, black anodized 6061 billet aluminum for durability and style. The LEDs are fully potted for protection, especially during off-road use. And the bar meets industry standards for dust and moisture protection.
Installation
Two sets of universal, adjustable, black powder coated stainless steel mounting brackets (1 tall set and 1 short set) are included with the light bar for mounting the bar to flat surfaces. The universal brackets let you install the bar upright on the roof, on the front of your vehicle, or on the underside of the hood. The included stainless steel mounting hardware keeps the light firmly in place.
The included wiring harness connects to your vehicle's battery for power and plugs into the light with an industry-standard Deutsche connector. An on/off toggle switch is included as well, and it is illuminated so you can easily see it. Unlike other lights, there is no electrical hum or noise created when this light bar is turned on.
Putco offers a variety of accessories for a more customized light bar setup. Application-specific mounting brackets are available for a better fit and a more streamlined look. The remote control kit (P8770F - sold separately) lets you activate the light bar from outside your vehicle. And the wind diffuser can be cut down to the size of the bar and installed on the bottom of the light to help eliminate wind noise and vibration.

Today we're going to review part number P10006. This is the Putco High Power 3 LED Luminix Off-Road Light Bar with 9 watts and a 15 degree spot pattern. Now this part number comes with everything shown here on the table. It comes with the light bar itself, comes with the wiring harness. Has an illuminated switch. Has the mounting brackets, both long and short, and the installation hardware which is already installed on the end of the light bar, and some nice detailed instructions.
Now this is a low profile LED light bar which will deliver bright focus light. The pattern the light gives off is a 15 degree spot beam pattern, which is created by the chrome back focus lenses on it. It's a very slim design, as you can see. It let's you install this light bar in very tight spaces. Gives you a high quality light output from a single row of three 3 watt Nikia 00:00:52 LED's. Now this light bar also can be turned on and off with a wireless remote.
We do sell that separately on our website, it's part number P8770F, and that is usually listed as a related product on this product page. It does use quality LED's with a 50,000 hour lifespan, and they do put built-in safeguards on this light bar. They have thermal controlled chips which help prevent LED's from overheating. They use over and under voltage protection, keeps the light bar operating at the correct voltage. As you can see, this light bar has durable waterproof corrosion resistant construction. Uses a black anodized inaudible 00:01:28 aluminum housing, which is very lightweight and rust-proof.
The mounting brackets that are used are a black powder coated stainless steel, and they help resist corrosion. The LED's on the light bar are fully potted to protect the fragile components of the LED's. It does use industry standard protection against dust and moisture. It's a very easy installation with these included parts. You can mount this light on your roof, your roll bar, grow guard, low bar, gives a nice rugged look.
Now the 2 sets of adjustable mounting brackets both tall and short, just install right on the side here. Just unscrew the nut with the rubber cap on it, put your bracket on, attach it to your vehicle. Now they do also sell custom mounting brackets. They are listed on this product page as a related product, and then the wiring harness that comes with it right here comes with the illuminated switch. On the one end it has the industry standard Deutsch 00:02:24 connector. What's nice about that is it has a triple seal around there, so when you go to plug it into your light bar just like that, gives you a nice snug seal, locks into place, and it's a weatherproof connection. Then just push down to remove it. Now on this wiring harness, the one end has the Deutsch connector. The other end has the 3 wires, a blue red and a black coming out of it. That's what would connect to the 3 prongs on your illuminated switch. I'm going to show you in a minute how that attaches. Then the other wire coming out has a inline fuse holder connected to it, and it includes a 15 amp fuse. You want to always make sure that fuse is in there. Then the red wire with the eyelet on it will connect to your power supply, your black will connect to your ground. This part is made in the USA. Specs on this again is 3 LED's at 3 watts each, so 9 watts total. The power drawing this is .75 amps. Input voltage 12 volts to 36 volts DC. The operating temperature for this light bulb is -100 degrees Fahrenheit to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It has a limited 2 year warranty. The light output, the brightness is 1200 lumens. The beam again it shoots out is a narrow 15 degree spot. The color temperature of the light is 6,000 degrees Calvin. The dimension on this bar is 5" long, 1-1/2" tall, and 3/4" of an inch deep. Now what I am going to do here is connect it to a 12 volt power supply to briefly show you how the pattern is on the light and how bright it is. What we're first going to do is we'll connect the Deutsch connector. Go ahead and push that in. Make our connection there, and then we're going to install the switch, just to show you how that switch operates. Basically the directions will give you all this information, but there's 3 prongs on there and they're all labeled 1, 2, and 3. It tells you to put the red one to number 1, just like that. The middle of number 2 gets the blue. Then the black goes on the number 3. Okay Then we'll take our power wire, hook our red for 12 volt power. We'll take our black for the ground. Make sure those are separated so we don't get any grounding out. Now what I am going to do is go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power. We'll go ahead and turn off our overhead lights, make it dark in here. Then I'm going to grab the switch and you'll be able to see when I turn that switch on, you'll see the red illuminates the switch, meaning the lights are on. Then you can see the three 3 watt LED's. It gives you off a very bright light for 3 LED's. Again, that turns it off. That'll turn it on. I'm going to turn around here and just shoot it off the back wall, just to give you an idea of the narrow 15 degree spot that it does give off. We'll go ahead and turn this off. Go ahead and turn our 12 volt power off, and we'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights. That should do it for the review on part number P10006, the Putco High Power 3 LED Luminix Off-Road Light Bar. It's 9 watts and gives off a 15 degree spot pattern. .

This item works like a charm, good light output with a wide field of illumination and best for off road use. The nice part is you can purchase an wireless remote to eliminate having to route a small harness and install the on/off switch.

Its absolutely correct that LED lights will generate much less heat than typical halogen headlamp bulbs, due to their better efficiency. In even really cold Midwest winter weather a halogen lamp will usually keep the outside of a car's headlight lens slightly warm to the touch.
