Hitch-mounted residential plow has shock-absorbing springs and a steel-edge blade to easily clear driveways and parking lots. 3-Position blade pushes snow straight ahead, right, or left. Wireless remote lets you raise or lower plow from your cab.
Features:
Specs:
The Detail K2 snowplow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch for fast, simple mounting. Easily raise and lower the plow from the comfort of your cab with the remote-controlled electric winch. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain.
This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. A plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets ties you down to just 1 vehicle. But this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.
To install the snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver (sold separately). Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.
The snowplow comes with flip-down caster wheels that make the installation process even easier on you. Simply flip the wheels into position and you will be able to roll the plow into position for mounting or storage. The height of the wheels can also be adjusted to match the height of your vehicle.
Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, to the left, or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or a private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.
The plow comes with a wireless remote that allows you to stay warm and out of the elements while still effectively controlling the plow. The remote operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency, allowing it to quickly send signals to the winch without experiencing delays. And because it's wireless, you won't have to run wires through your dash. Nor will you have to leave your window cracked open in the middle of a snow storm just so that you can run a wired remote into your cab. You will be glad to have it on those cold winter days.
To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the snowplow.
When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.
The electric winch on this plow allows you to easily lift and lower the blade using the wireless remote control. If you prefer, you can also install the included in-cab toggle switch to control the plow. The winch uses a durable strap, which is much quieter than a chain, to raise and lower the plow.
The snowplow features skid shoes that allow you to adjust the height of your plow. This allows you to efficiently plow over surfaces that are uneven, such as gravel roads.
Blade stiffeners, or blade support brackets, reinforce the connection between the plow and your vehicle. They add 2 additional points of contact with your hitch on either side of the plow's T-frame. This prevents stress on the frame and on your vehicle, while also strengthening the performance of the plow.
Shock-absorbing springs allow the plow to dip forward in the event that you hit an obstruction. This flexibility protects you and your vehicle from impacts.
Easily attach a variety of accessories to the front of your vehicle with this fully welded, corrosion-resistant trailer hitch receiver. Perfect for winches, spare tire carriers and more.

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

I installed this DK2 Avalanche on a 2003 GMC Yukon 1500 with a Curt front receiver hitch 31302. If you have a side mount battery, you may need battery bolt extenders (Battery Doctor #30400) to make life easier. That said, the ring terminal connectors on the winch control box will be too small. Get ones that will fit the 3/8 inch stud and 12-10 AWG wire to replace the stock ones.
Manufacturer instructions are not very helpful, but Graz's Garage has a great install video on YouTube. He installed his on a 2020 Chevy Colorado Z71. You can always count on a gearhead from Detroit. eTrailer is awesome at responding to concerns, too, and I'm glad I bought this product from them.
Ordered the same hitch from Amazon, and showed up not J-Pin ready, with (1) hole drilled for a hitch pin against the weld. Can't run the nut flush because of the interference with the weld bead, and no 7/16" hole present. Returned it.
Ordered another one from etrailer direct. Called in the order to make sure they QC'd prior to shipping. Assured me they would. Box never opened, and the same nonsense showed up. Not happy, trying to work it out.
Fit Perfectly, super easy to install, and super fast shipping!
Holds Hollywood Bike Rack Great and very solid for my two E-bikes.
Thank you etrailer!
This item showed up extremely poorly packaged with two holes in the box and paint missing where my hitch came out of the box and was beat up while being shipped.

I am sorry to hear that! I think we can do better, too. In the meantime, I sent a message to a customer service team lead to reach out to you about this.
The unit seems to be well made, haven't had to use it yet. I will be using it for a winch and bike rack. The packaging does not protect the Hitch during transportation and paint was damaged exposing it to possible future rust issues. The bolts that were provided are smaller than the factory bolts and had to be replaced to match the factory bolts. I had to drill the bottom holes to fit the appropriate bolts. Too soon to give anything other an average rating, seems well built.
Excellent fit and easy to install a very clean look as well

Great We put a cargo rack on the front of the truck to carry coolers and other outdoor equipment. I did a test run first to make sure the coolers were not going to block too much when getting to the radiator . 98° day pulling 12,000 pound TT there was a 2° rise in engine temperature when the coolers are on the cargo rack We tried several test, including hills This was easy to install and handy
I had read reviews about this product arriving in a card box box just floppong around getting damaged. That was the furthest thing from the case for me. It was very well packed in a heavy box with internal pieces to hold it in place. It arrived in perfect condition.
I chose to replace the silver hardware with black 10.9 rated M10 60mm FINE THREAD nuts and bolts. I used the included conical washers.
The install was straight forward on my 2017 Ram 2500 Cummins. It was a bit tricky to get to the back bolts, but it was doable. It took me about 45 minutes.
Although I haven't tried hooking up to the receiver yet, I'm extremely happy with the packaging, fit, quality and appearance of this product and with the quick shipping and personalized service of etrailer.
Thanks!

Thanks. I’ve loved it and it’s still going strong!
Excellent design - form meets function! It looks OEM, but provides front options for bike rack or winch while still allowing use of the factory tow hooks. Installation went exactly as directed. I would recommend this hitch for anyone looking to increase versatility without giving up clearance.

The product has greatly increased my front end versatility and load hauling capabilities. I have received several complements on how smartly it fits into the front bumper. NOTE: using electrical tape to secure each nut to a box end wrench while reaching the difficult inner bumper areas was a huge helping tip during the install. Thanks again for the great experience, I would highly recommend etrailer for quality of product and service!
I gave this four stars. I would have given it five stars but wasn't happy with the nuts that were supplied. My one hour job turned into a 3 hour job. After tourqing the last bolt the threads stripped out. I couldn't tighten it and couldn't unscrew it. I ended up drilling the head of the bolt till I was able to brake it off with a large punch. Thank god the head of the bolt was accessible. I ended up installing all 7/16 grade 8 bolts with lock nuts. Felt much better after the upgraded bolts and nuts. I love the hitch. It looks like it belongs there. So all in all I'd give the hitch a 5 and the fasteners nuts a 1.

The front hitch is working great! I have a Ram 3500 and pull a 43 foot fifth wheel when we travel. The hitch is for a 250 GTS Vespa we take with us. People stop and ask about the set up all the time. We love it!
My plow was delivered quickly. It took a bit longer to assemble than I thought it would, but it seems pretty heavy duty and looks and works great for my 600' long driveway. It's much better and quicker than plowing with my 4 wheeler and warmer too.
Trailer has great communications with customers.
Fast shipping. And tech support if needed.
Easy to install (with an assortment of sockets, extensions and wrenches). Looks great, barely protrudes beyond the bumper and the tow hooks are even more useable now! Also, the product was eligible for free shipping, 7-10 day, and etrailer upgraded it to 3-5 day for free! One small feature about etrailer that is nice, is that when they send you an email it is from a person, not an auto-mailer!

I have used the front hitch many times. Still a great product!
Draw-Tite is the only way to go. A grate clean look, puts the winch right where it needs to be. Took Steve's W advice & took the grill out & maid it easier to install. Taking tow hooks off was the easy part, Reinstalling A bit tough. What I did to make it easier was to tac weld washers to nuts & used A 3/8 x 17mm deep sock & braker bar to hold in place & screw in from front side.

As you see in my photo the hitch fit grate on my 2010 dodge 2500. Steel retain the factory tow hooks. Like the way the winch pulls off the front of the trucks fram.
Easy to install and only mounts one way. I figured a couple of hours to do the install, but It took an hour longer due to my Ram having a couple of mounting bolts that were difficult to access. After getting a little help with a second pair of hands, the install went pretty fast. I really use this for my winch, but have found that it’s perfect for receiver type bike racks as well as a mount for a crossbar style rack above and over the hood/cab of my truck to carry 2 kayaks while towing my fifth wheel. It also allows for me to use a ball mount to steer a trailer into tight spots rather than push it blindly backwards. A great use of product I think.
The GOOD: Shipped fast. Which was appreciated since I needed it fast, so when we returned from a recent trip, I could experiment with "pushing" the 28' trailer into storage instead of backing it in.
The BAD: Look at the pics and you decide. Draw Tite; are you familiar with the concept of QA ?
INSTALL: I put this unit on my '10 Ram 2500 by myself. An extra pair of hands would have been nice but... Remove your grill, takes about 3 min., see You Tube. This will give you great access and visibility.
Ripping stuff apart is EASY! However, I (58 yrs. old/mech inclined) was able/had to put this ALL back together alone. How? Of the eight bolts involved, I think just three are the most difficult (location). The trick... USE A MAGNET MOUNTED ON A TELESCOPIC HANDLE, stick it through the front of the truck, stick the bottom of the bolt to the magnet, and gently pull it up and through the bolt hole (the threaded part of the bolt should now be sticking out the FRONT of the truck). BEFORE you started this process, you would have the entire rig loosely hanging by a couple bolts pushed in from the FRONT of the truck. In the end, all nuts will be in FRONT of the truck; providing ease of access for torquing.
HARDWARE; I was concerned the hardware was gonna be crap, so before closely looking at the bolts provided, I purchased my own "graded" stuff.
Turns out the bolts are graded but longer than needed;the nuts were still suspect. So I will use nuts I bought to be sure come "torque time".
Considering the way (direction) I decided to install the bolts and that the ones provided are longer than necessary; I was left with a lot of bolt thread sticking out.
So, I cut the heads off the class 10.9 M10-1.5x50mm bolts I bought, tapped out the OEM tow hook nuts, and put together what you see in the pic to dress up the front hitch. Hope this was a help.
Ordered Draw-Tite, 2016 ram 2500 front hitch receiver. Read and watched all install info I could prior to purchase. Received from etrailer in just a few days -really fast- free shipping also!
Arrived as pictured well packaged, with smaller longer bolts then stock ones removed. Bought 7/16 hi grade bolts(beefier) with flat/lock washers. Had all bolts on and torqued, but checking them after, bolt, and nut on backside turned. Also, nut had to be held with wrench when tightening. Not good. Re examined furnished bolts washers. The washers are concaved with grooves for holding fast. Undid all I had done, installed furnished bolts/washers. Checked after torque. Tight with NO turning of bolt or nut. Impressed. I held receiver in place with a piece of 2" stock stuck in it, the outside end i put into my trailer hitch, strapped it to my motorcycle jack and wiggled new receiver into place. Held it well until bolts could be inserted. One man install is tough. Before receiver is placed bolts on tow hooks could be accessed from front. After install, no. All from below. Tape on back of wrench to hold nut in place works, I also taped box/open end wrench to a long -paint stick- to access inside of bolts. Slow, patience helps, but it worked. Holding nut while tightening front bolt was tough, but once the supplied washers took a bite, things went well. Could torque from front without holding -hard to get to nut- inside bumper. Space between top/bottom of receiver and bumper is close, however, receiver mounted and torque, is rock solid. No movement found yet, loaded with weight.
I ordered a few other parts for another job. Order was a little messed up, which was promptly handled by ADAM, a great rep, and I also talked with Jean, when Adam was unavailable. She was great also..In the past, wait time on phone was 20 min or more. Awful. However this purchase I experienced none of that. Phone wait times were minimal. I was happy. With messed up order, things were handled smooth, and quick. No hassles what so ever. In closing, Passed order included a set of air-bags with stainless air lines. One line leaked no matter how I tried to stop it. Called etrailer folks, promptly handled situation, and problem was corrected. A breath of fresh air today amongst so many nasty companies out there. Many thanks to Adam again for his help and personal attention. etrailer has proven to me, to be a great reputable company, that go the extra mile to satisfy me, a customer.
If I could download pictures of install, ya'll would appreciate the southern ingenuity that went into the challenging one man install of front hitch mount. I even impressed myself,
The item came with all necessary hardware and instructions to mount the front hitch. There was a slight alignment issue with one mounting hold, which required the use of a pry bar in order to line up the mounting hole to the pre-existing hole on the truck. Though not expected it was an easy fix. All bolts were the proper length even with the use of all washers, which was a huge plus.
Overall, the time from unpackaging to completely mounted was around 30-40 minutes. This time includes the alignment issue, the removal and remounting of tow hooks, removal and remounting of the grill, and adding of hitch cover (hitch cover not included in images).
I am extremely satisfied with the product and have already recommended both the product and etrailer.com to friends and coworkers.
Thank you for a great product!
It's a great plow.works good the winch is a little slow and the remote is slow to respond but all in all it does what I need it to do.
The hitch is well made but knocking a star off for installation. I had my sons help. Removing the tow hooks is easy, but putting the hitch and bolts back in was not as east. I read the comments and got some grade 8 M12 1.75 bolts. For the install, six of the bolts lined up but for one on each side the hitch blocked a portion of the bolt hole. I used a drill to widen it just a bit, which worked on one side but not the other. I ended up using the provided bolt for the last hole. The provided bolts are just smaller in diameter than the stock bolts which raises the risk that the hitch can slide around if it has too heavy of a load. I spent about 3 hours total mostly trying to get the inside bolts and nuts on, and addressing the slightly misaligned hole. Otherwise, looks great and it’s perfect to hold my portable Superwinch. I have a 2013 Cummins RAM 2500.
Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" - The front mount hitch fit perfect and was installed easily. I had a need for a front 2" receiver for an additional winch location.
Thanks for the speedy delivery of the product!
Love the hitch, used it to mount winch to the front of my truck. Shipping was fast, only issue is box was damaged in shipping and the hitch was protruding out of the box. So there were some pretty good scuffs on one end of the hitch. You can't see them when installed, but the packaging could have been done better to prevent this.
Fit as described and exactly what I was wanting to accomplish. Even with all of the extra mounting for my BOSS V Plow the install was straight forward. As seen in the pictures, we chose to fish the inner bolts on both side from the backside to ease installation. Install time: 1 man-1 hour, 2 man-45 mins.

Awesome is all I can say!!! I have since mounted a 12k winch to the front hitch. I wired it universal to the rear so I can still use it when my plow is on. Sorry no pictures.
I get a lot of questions on how I’m using the front hitch. I pull a 5th wheel so there is no other way to haul my scooters. The front hitch worked perfect for what I wanted to do. The picture included is the hitch installed with scooters on rack.
Product was even easier to install then I thought. Great fit.
Great communication and even faster delivery!
It makes for a great asset to utilize my winch & move trailers with ease not to mention it allows for the OEM anchors to stay in place for my truck.
Thanks for a great product!

Fantastic
Worked great for my "4 Boys FL70" over-cab boat loader installation.
Pros: Fits nicely, has the load capacity I needed, and sits much higher that the under bumper units.
Cons: The bolts are poor quality. One stripped while I was tightening it. Also the bolt diameter is a bit smaller than the OEM bolts. Will be upgrading mine soon.
Overall I am pleased with the unit and would recommend to others who don,t need to add

I know that must be frustrating. What has happened is that Draw-Tite phased out the J Pin locks and manufacturing the hitches with two holes. Now it just has the one hitch pin hole. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. If the hitch has a defect then we can replace it for you.
