What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're checking out this Inno roof rack system on our 2020 Mazda CX5. It's going to have the Inno Aero bars in combination with the Inno through feet, and then clamps for this naked roof. This clamps in here in your door jamb, and it stays nice and tight. I'll shake it back and forth and show you. It's not going anywhere, there's no rattling or anything like that.
This roof rack system is going to be good for hauling things up on your roof and not in your vehicle, so that saves space in your car. So you can do kayaks up here, you can throw up a roof box up here and load it with your luggage and stuff, that way more leg room for everybody on a longer journey, which makes everybody happier. You can haul some bikes up here, a basket, there's really a whole bunch of accessories for this roof rack. Let's check it out.Aero bars are a nice aerodynamic design, that's where it gets its name from. It's got a nice T-track on the top as well.
That way you can pop off this cap, and if you have T-tech, T-track accessories, sorry, they can slide down in here. You slide them along, and they'll stay in this groove. It's also got the weatherproofing here, and it's going to push up on them and protect around wherever that little T-bolt is going to go. Now, if you don't have T-track accessories, it also works with clamps. So they'll clamps on like a roof basket or something.inaudible 00:01:24 get this cap in here real quick.
Gotcha. Just got to push up on that tab. But you have clamps that can go around this part of the bar for like a basket or something like that, if they don't have the T-track hook on. So it goes either way. So you can use either one of those accessories, it's up to you.
They're also made out of a lightweight powder coat aluminum, so they're going to hold up. If you decide to leave them on the roof of your vehicle and it rains, the elements aren't going to bother them at all. And like I said, they're lightweight. So if you do take them off, they're not going to be heavy and hard to get off the roof.The through foot has a locking cover. That way nobody can tamper with your stuff when you're not around, you got this clamp that comes down in here and goes in the door jamb. And that's what we tighten down that holds the roof rack to the roof. It's really tight. There's no moving in there whatsoever. Looking at the bottom here, you got a plastic foot with a rubber piece on the bottom that's going to completely protect the top of your vehicle. You don't have to worry about it scratching it or causing any issues.Another thing, the clamp is rubber coated so you don't have to worry about it scratching up your door jamb, either. I wanted to point that out, because that'd be the first thing I would be worried about, putting this on my vehicle. But it's not going to cause anything bad like scratches. It's got that coating on there, and it doesn't bother it.Now I want to give you some measurements with the roof rack on your roof. Let's see how much room you have from the top of your roof to the bottom of the crossbar. It looks like it's three and a quarter inches from the top of our sun roof to the bottom of our roof bar. So I think there's plenty of room for clamps or anything like that you we're going to put on the bars, it shouldn't cause any issues. I just wouldn't open the sun roof with those accessories on there, because you might have it hit that clamp and that won't be good. Another measurement would be from crossbar to crossbar. I'm going to jump down and get that one real quick. And go from center to center, looks to be about 26 and a half inches from crossbar to crossbar.Now your roof rack system has a weight capacity of 120 pounds. So just keep that in mind when you're loading up there with your cargo basket, you don't overload it. It's also pretty easy to install. Let's check out how we did it.We got it all laid out, all the parts you'll get when you unbox everything, I've already assembled this side. So we're going to do this with these spare parts here, or not spare parts, the other side here, start assembling it. I took off the cap from the end so it can slide out, this plastic part here. And this is where we're going to add this clip in. We're going to make sure that gap and this goes towards the outside, and it comes out from underneath. Maybe not that way through. There we go. And it slides in like that. Push down on that button to get the slide completely back here.And this is where we're going to put our foot on there. So this part is going to clip into there, just like that, which lines up this screw with that hole. It should catch there. I'm going to start to tighten it down just a little bit, not all the way, with our hex head. Just enough to get it started. So now we'll slide this out, and there's an actual measurement they want you to get, and you're going to go from the center sticker here, since your bars will be new they'll have that, to this line here.So the instructions say for our Mazda that they want it to be at 21 and a half. So I'll back that up just a little bit. And that's from the center, or from this line, it's right here next to the bolt, to this sticker. So that's 22. 21 and a half would be right there. So I need to bring it in just a little bit. So I got that one. Let's check this one. All right, they're both spot on. Now I can tighten them down.Now we're going to add our pad to the bottom of our foot. One thing about that is it's got a number at the bottom, and that number will tell you if it's for the front or the back bars. This is 421, this is going to be for the front. So we'll line up these kind of divots in here with the screws, so you know which way. Also the part that comes out and up, like the lip, goes towards the inside of the vehicle.Now we're going to take our bar and put it on the roof. We're going to just set it in place at first, because then we have to get a couple more measurements to make sure it's lined up right. Set about there. And what we're going to do is, I'm going to get my tape measure and move from the center of the door jamb here, we're coming into the center of the bolt. It looks about right, right there. You also want to make sure that the feet, the foot pad sits down in that groove. You can see the part that sticks down there a little bit that fits right in the groove and goes against it. So I'm going to go to the other side and get that same measurement.So we're going to move the center bolt, so we're going to attach our clamp. So it just slides up here, you put this part, the kind of the channel goes over this silver part there, the bottom fits up snug against the door jamb. I'm going to replace that bolt that I took out, get it started by hand, and come back with a tool and continue to tighten it down. You see as I turn it, it's pulling that clamp up and getting it nice and snug. It'll snap to let you know when it's tight enough. Now we'll replace the cover. We got these two notches out here, put around these round parts at the bottom, and then just tilt it up. It locks in place.As you saw, it wasn't that hard to install. I know it's a little overwhelming when I had it on the table, and this one has so many internal moving pieces that's not like the other racks, but it's actually pretty easy. And once you saw me do it the first time and you do it the first time yourself, it's going to be second nature. And you're not going to have to do it every time, either. You just kind of assemble it, put it on your roof, and when you go to take it off your roof, you can just loosen the clamps and remove it, and keep it all together. So you really only to do that part once.Well, thanks for hanging out. I hope this helps.

This product exceeded my expectations!! Fit my 2014 Explorer with no issues. Extremely easy to install- took about 15 minutes, these crossbars are sturdy and fit perfectly in the INNO feet that secure to the roof rails- I will be hauling 2 paddle boards and have no doubts that they will travel well. I recommend this product !!
Rack detached from my roof on the highway at about 70mph, taking my cargo container with it. Luckily, no one was behind me as it would have very easily caused an accident. Customer service was terrible and didn’t accept a return. Damaged the contents of the cargo container.Do not buy this product or from this company as they will not help.

Jenny N - 03/04/2022Perfect fit for my '22 Kia Sportage. Works great, took a kayak trip out on the lake 10 minutes after installing. Initial setup was simple and easy. Once all the components are configured and you're familiar with setup, all future removals and re-installs will be a breeze, won't take more than 5-10 minutes to install or remove.
These racks are great, I did a ton of research to find something that would work for me since I didn’t have roof rails on my Kia Sportage. There are a lot of small pieces so installation was a little intimidating but it went smoothly. I’m not planning on using them for a ton of weight and more for looks. I’m not sure how they’d hold up as functional racks.
Just finished installing on my 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Do not waste your time with the cheap paper tape measure that’s my only negative complaint.. other than that the price was right and it looks great! I had to wait a couple months for back order parts but we’ll worth the wait! I have not driven with it yet so I’m assuming there will be wind noise but I’m used to that with having a Jeep renegade as my last vehicle with the cross bars. I’m excited to haul my kayaks!

Easy to install. I’m happy with the product. Shipping took agile but worth it! I added kayak racks and now I’m able to enjoy my life a little more.
The quality is good, the engineering on the pads is questionable. There is a gap recommended and the foot slips. I have tried to get it tight again over and over but it still slips. I followed instructions and measurements. Will call Inno

The kit etrailer put together contained all the parts I needed. It took a little figuring to determine how to put it together, but in total only about 30 minutes from box opening to mounting. Now that it is all sized and spaced, it should be much quicker to remount in the future.
I installed it on a 2016 Ford Focus hatchback. I am planning to carry a Thule Cascade 1700 XT rooftop carrier.
So far it looks good. The price was excellent. While driving, it has a bit of an humming noise, but it is not loud or annoying. I like that it has a full set of keys.
All told, it seems like a good product at a reasonable price point.
David M - 05/11/2020First and foremost… YES! I would recommend this product to anyone, so def. read further. Price wise… well below what the more known name brands wanted for a similar setup. Product is well made , but if I had to point out one defect… the rubber shoe the rests between the factory roof bar and the inno feet detaches easily during install (see photo). I will figure out how to securely attatch it when I remove it, because (IMO) it's not one of those units that remains on perminantly.
H. B - 08/21/2018I followed directions and the rack went on without a hitch. The measuring tape provided was a bit confusing but my tape measure did just fine. It pays to watch for any movement of the stays as you tighten them. It fit perfectly. I was impressed with the quality of the unit. The torque wrench provided was a nice bonus. I attached a boat rack for my rowing shell and I’m confident it will be safe all the way to the water.
Perfect Fitment for my 2012 Ford Escape, etrailer.com's fitment guide was spot on.
They look good the only problem is that the brackets that grip the rail are too straight so that the pads do not meet the roof and they bend the crossbar
Mike L - 07/25/2019The roof rack arrived days before it was scheduled to. Everything ordered arrived intact. Assembly and installation were pretty easy per the directions included and the video on the etrailer site. The rack looks fine on my Maxda CX5 and the additional noise from the rack is not too bad. Haven't had my cargo box on the rack yet but anticipate no problems with it. My experience with etrailer has been first rate.
Pretty easy to install, solid product. It is loud on the highway, but I found a hack on [online] - wrap bungee cords around the bars, and it breaks up the wind so it doesn't whistle! Works wonders for a few bucks...

I watched a video emailed with my delivery confirmation of an installation on a similar vehicle all the way through first, and then watched it again as I did the steps myself, pausing when I needed to.
The products appear to be of high quality, were packaged/shipped neatly and it was easy to organize everything for installation. I couldn't be happier!

Installation is easy. Just follow directions. Front bar parts are different than rear bar parts so you need to look at part numbers and use in correct location. Rack is only rated for 100 pounds but looks and feels much stronger than rating. As noted square bars do create lot of wind noise when driving. Purchase this product to carry my Canoe and it does that at almost $200 less than other rack systems on market. For me the square bars are better fit with ratchet straps to hold Canoe down. Hard to find ratchet strap with hook to fit areo bars.
Dislike. No way to level square bars. With car on level ground high point to high point on bars is level. But each bar is off by 1/8" front to back. Wish they were round bars.

Looks like a great kit it’s just missing parts the main rubber base plates that keeps it from scratching my truck never came in the box
Sierra K - 09/27/2021Missing 2 screws and 2 nuts. The instructions flyer needs to be re-written graphics awful. Looked at a few different Your Tube installs videos no good luck. Inno you must improve the lens quality and lighting when filming. Up close images when installing could help. I did purchase the square crossbars, YES there is some noise. Why did I purchase that style bar is due to the over-inflated price $$ for the aero style bar. I will remove the rack after summer, it's functional and accommodates a luggage rack nicely. The company did a SUPER Job in shipping that item to me in a timely manner. Customer Service gal easy to talk with and dedicated to providing superior customer service.

Super versatile and nice looking. After a year, the rubber coating has been damaged in a few spots, but that's entirely understandable, as I have frequently used these bars to transport my 17 ft aluminum canoe. These square bars are sort of loud, and seem to affect the fuel mileage of my Prius by a little bit. I would probably buy the more aerodynamic ones if I had to buy them over again.
I did the research for a while looking at many different brands for a good quality crossbar at the right price. I came across this one a Japanese brand. As I read more about the brand it has been popular in Japan. I know Japanese product are top quality.
The crossbar, the footing and keys are made with high quality material. Instruction was very clear. Installation took about 10-15 minutes. I love that no tool required to do the install. No wind noise that I can hear at low speed. Have not tested at high speed yet. Overall, highly recommended to anyone looking for a crossbar from a great less polular brand but half the price of other more popular brand.
Feet did an excellent job locking bars into place. No issue with lock mechanism in over a year and feet have not slipped out of place at all. Whole package comes in one long box with easy installation guides. Shipping time was an issue, but that was in June 2020 when world was mostly shut down with COVID. Solid set of products!
This is an excellent product. Well made. However, it comes in 3 separate packages with instructions for each. That is because some of the parts are specific to fit your vehicle. In my case, I have a 2015 Acura TLX sedan. It is important to read the directions that come with all of the components. While some of the parts look similar, they are not and must be put in the right place. Once I figured that out, it came together nicely. Attached is a photo of how the whole thing looks on my car.
Very nice rack….tight fit on a small two door car. Big light weight expedition canoe fits on securely. High efficiency travel is the goal. The rack helps immensely.

It is reasonable price and useful. I wondered whether I should choose aero form type or traditional one. After consideration I choose this traditional square bar for the reason of lower price, So far it is good. I don't feel any noise issue during running. I am satisfied.

Overall, everything fit on my car perfectly, all the parts were there, and the directions were good enough that I didn't need a video to supplement. The sole reason I give these products 4 stars has nothing to do with etrailer themselves, they were great. Instead, its the bars. I should have thought of it before I bought them but they howl going down the road. It's not ideal but I am still pleased with how everything else turned out and fits.

I'm quite happy with this rack! Its so easy to take off and put on it I need to remove it in winter so it helps keep from rust forming under the brackets, that attach to the roof! Haul our canoe on the rack mount a two bike, rack to the rack! Haul lumber on it! It's very useful! Have it on a 2005 Scion xb!

I own a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with crazy high roof rails, and this Inno system works perfectly - Now I can securely mount my Thule Hullavator kayak rack which is made to attach to square bars. I had been using a Yakima round bar setup for a few years because I had tried the Thule Crossroads Foot Pack, but just couldn't make it fit.
IMO Inno quality is equal to or better than Thule anyway. Plus Inno is cheaper.
Also customer support at etrailer.com is very good and trustworthy.

Roof racks are very loud. Probably won’t keep them on all the time like I was planning. Shipping was very slow and took almost a month to get my order that was in stock. Overall the racks do what I need them to do.
Great product, provides plenty of room to install Inno paddle board holders on 2010 Honda CR-V.
Steve S - 08/04/2020I was so nervous purchasing this product since I would have to do the installation myself but the. instructions were clear and the equipment sam simple to assemble. We love our rack system. We have had kayaks and travel bags on them for summer and ski racks for winter each additional piece fit onto the bars well and we have had no issues.
I've used Thule rack systems in the past. This was the first time that I've purchased an Inno rack system. I purchased a complete square bar system for my 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup. The quality is the same. The instructions were clear. The price was much less. The fit was actually better than the last Thule system I bought. The locks did not cost extra. The torque wrench was a nice extra touch. For my money, it's Inno for me.

I purchased INNO complete rack system for our Lexus IS250 and one bar came damaged right out of the manufacturer box. I contacted the company and they promptly re-shipped the new set within a week. The rack looks stylish and functional to support Inno roof box. Highly recommend e-trailer with great Customer Service and best prices around.

Needed to purchase some longer bars for my system. This product fit the bill, was more affordable than other options, and the team at e trailer will always be there to help should I ever need assistance. This was for my wife's Ford Edge c ok company car. Now she has a Traverse so we will be purchasing new feet, but can still use the bars. I'd reccomend them for any need you have in the categories they offer. I'm a 4 time customer and will use them for all my rack related purchases.

Found many roof racks on line that said they fit the vehicle at a lower price, but the measurements or the fine print did not agree with what was known about the vehicle.
etrailer.com provided all the correct components making for a perfect fit for the vehicle just as they said it would. It was even easy to install even though there were no installation instructions.
I installed it just about 15 minutes ago, at 2:30 in the morning, outside temperature being 32 Degrees Fahrenheit, It was a birthday gift to me and from my parents. Glad it is finally on the vehicle and i cannot wait to use it.
Putting the rack together took a little more time than I would have liked. Overall it works well. The attachments I bought for my kayaks fit just right in the rack. One of the black knobs has already fallen off. I also only put this on in May even though I had it before that. Put it together myself after the dealership said it would be $300 for installation
I have a 2015 Mazda CX-5 and these fit as expected. When I did my initial search it said it wasn't confirmed it would fit...it does. Overall system was pretty easy to install. I can't seem to figure out how to review the package but I also bout the bars and stays along with this as a "combo". I haven't used it but will be soon and will try to update.
Straightforward install and fits well on my 2006 Tundra DC. Not quite as good looking as Thule, but this is the only fit kit now available for first gen. Tundras. Using it to haul SUPs and kayaks. Seems solid and should do the job.
At first we didn’t think it was going to fit. We were getting nerves but after we got it on the car and figured it out it was great! Fits excellent makes no noise at all! Next will be trying a trip with the kayaks.

I received and installed an Inno roof rack for my Mazda CX5 yesterday, and I am very pleased. Installation was not difficult and etrailer had posted a helpful installation video to make the process very clear. The rack is solid, well made and thought out. This is my second Inno roof rack (previous vehicle) and believe their racks to be an excellent, no worries product. I use mine for bikes and kayaks. Happy to recommend.
I plan to use the roof rack for a fishing kayak I just bought. I received the roof rack today. All parts and instructions were present. They appear well made. There was even an metric tape measure to insure accurate installation. Following the instructions and assembly was straight forward. I encountered no problems whatever.

Great system. Got it installed the night before a road trip, and once you get the hang of if, assembly is easy and intuitive. This system is rock solid and well done.
Things I wish I knew that would have helped in my decision:
1) After you install the footbeds, the rails and tower easily remove as one unit in the future, and they include little covers to put over the feet. No more long debates about wind noise. If you find them modify or don’t like the look, take it off in five minutes. Even the Allen wrench is stored neatly in the rack.
2) I had been a long time Yakima user, so that’s where I started with my GX rack. Having searched far and wide for landing pads, I was all set. Step one of the Yakima system: remove factory rails. Having just spent good money on this truck, I’m not taking off factory rails and adding silicone around the holes to create new mounting points. Innos fits nicely to the factory rails.

etrailer.com you guys are great every thing came on time. i bought the inno sq bar roof rack for its price point and i like the look. I have a thule roof box I need to mount . The SQ bars are a bit noisy so I plan on buying the rack faring. On the front mounting pads the directions say there is a gap but it seems extreme i will post a pic I also checked the measurements 3 times. when i get a chance i might re-adjust the front pads.. Please Advise

Ordered a full (naked) roof rack package with snowboard/ski attachment. Items arrived as described. Set-up was simple and flawless. Instructions are fairly clear & simple. A paper tape measure is included. No issues with fitment.Purchased the fairing to reduce wind noise and it works perfect! No excessive wind noise whatsoever -- can open sunroof comfortably if I wanted to. Have not yet put my snowboards inthe attachment yet, but do not foresee any issues. Roof rack is on a 2015 Infiniti Q40 (G37 sedan 2009-2015).

Install was straight forward, read the instructions of both the hooks and the bars as they are different per vehicle. Build quality initially seems very good. Fit and finish superb. If you’re looking for a rack that is low drag and low noise this one is super quiet, even with a Yakima Skybox on it it’s quiet. Will update with mpg effect later.

I bought these as part of a kit with 60" Aero bars and the appropriate kit for my 14 Flex. I spent probably an hour and a half double checking my measurements and getting them torqued down properly. I spaced the bars on top of the car just a little wider than proscribed because I was planning on carrying 4x8 plywood, and it looked better to my eye. One thing to watch for: The instructions for the car-specific kit (in my case INK263) show the foot spacing measurements for a square bar, and the measuring point for these feet and Aero bars is different. That measurement point is indicated in the instructions for the feet, not the kit. Same numbers, just different reference point. Otherwise, they look good and are rock solid.

Great fit for a 2015 Honda Civic SI. If putting a long boat (17' Mad River pictured), the Thule canoe clamps are recommended. Without them, highway speeds would be risky if at all possible. I was pleasantly surprised out how stable the boat was on the rack without the clamps.

I purchased the Inno Rack system and Rhino Rack 581 saddles for my 2007 Mercury Montego. The instructions were easy to follow, and the rack is rock solid. It makes loading and unloading my kayak a breeze. I previously used roof pads and that was ridiculous compared to what this rack does for me now. I am amazed with how quiet with and without the kayak attached is - I don’t hear anything except the very slightest amount of wind with the windows open on the highway. I always have put a one turn twist in the bow and stern straps, but for the rest they’re all straight. I added an extra strap on the rear crossbar that goes behind the rear combing of my cockpit for extra security- but that’s just me. I’ve included a photo to show my setup. The Inno roof rack fit my 2014 Honda CRV very well. I used it immediately on a 500 mile trip and the rack is fantastic. I connected an XL Thule car box and 11'-6" paddle board to the rack and everything fit fine. The aero design is great and we did not hear any noise during the trip.

When I first found this product, I was excited because I was able to easily determine if it would fit my car. Then I was able to order the package that would arrive earliest based on what was written on the website.
I will say, the package arrived MUCH later than originally anticipated. I understand that times are tough with the pandemic so I was originally very understanding and patient. George reached out to me to update me on the status of my order. I began to lose patience when George began changing dates and erasing items such as “order is in stock” on a certain date in my order history. It was all very confusing and frustrating.
When I decided to finally call customer service, instead of emailing, I was put on with Bailey B. and she was a life saver. She immediately offered her direct line and told me she would personally keep an eye on this order. She went above and beyond in correspondence and helped rectify the situation. I followed directions and the rack went on without a hitch. The measuring tape provided was a bit confusing but my tape measure did just fine. It pays to watch for any movement of the stays as you tighten them. It fit perfectly. I was impressed with the quality of the unit. The torque wrench provided was a nice bonus. I attached a boat rack for my rowing shell and I’m confident it will be safe all the way to the water.

These racks are great, I did a ton of research to find something that would work for me since I didn’t have roof rails on my Kia Sportage. There are a lot of small pieces so installation was a little intimidating but it went smoothly. I’m not planning on using them for a ton of weight and more for looks. I’m not sure how they’d hold up as functional racks.

For a roof with no mounts, this is a perfect choice!
The fitment selected for me by etrailer.com for my 2012 Ford Escape was perfect. The Inno Rack System is easy to install (made easier by the use of etrailer.com's instruction video links).
I chose the square bar fitment because I prefer the look over the various "aerodynamic designs", while I prefer the look over others, a wind fairing will prove to eliminate the very hint of sound that does emanate into the cabin.
If you are looking for a Clamp mounted system that requires zero modification/easily removabl this is the system for you.

Everything is good so far...the Inno rack system appears to made of good quality, fit and finish...it took about 2-hrs to get everything built, lined up, adjusted, tightened, loosened, repositioned, then retightened down...but I’m a bit of a perfectionist with things like this...plus I was checking my Saris cargo bin and various attachments, make sure that they’d all, which they do! And very well I might add...I just need to buy some new square carriage bolts for the channel now, along with new knobs...hoping that etrailer will get back to me with info soon...I will likely get a new wind deflector too...yesterday I did a test drive, was very pleased with the minimal whistling that occurred, and that was primarily between 30-40 mph and it was much quieter than my old Saris Roof Rack....after 40 mph the whistling got much quieter, very faint high highway speeds

I got these bars as part of a roof rack set up for my 2015 Kia Rio. The whole set up fits perfectly and is solid as a rock. I am able to transport my 16 foot kayak along with a 12-foot kayak on these things with my little vehicle.
There is a little bit of wind noise caused by having these on top of your car. But I put a wind faring on it and have had absolutely no issues with noise ever since.

Good Kit everything was present and accounted for I was very disappointed to get the unit later than I wanted after paying expedited shipping costs. When I tried to cancel the order to save those extra costs another email to verify the cancelation was sent to Junk mail and seen too late.
I wasted that$ never doing that again.
The unit went on smoothly but not as easy as it looked on video. Got it done. The Square bars do have a considerable wind noise at 55+MPH I will be trying to make my own fairing in the future.

The racks arrived without the bar end caps but that didn't stop me from performing the installation. The quality of parts is good. Installation on the rear rack went well. The front rack was another issue. I have a problem with one of the pads slipping. I reviewed and measured the distances many times. On the first attempt to install there was a bow, so I started over again. There is a gap on the roof pad that is actually recommended in the instructions. When I ordered this item, the shipping said 5 to 7 days for delivery. 2 days after I ordered, I looked up the item and it wasn't due to ship for another 10 days. I called and asked to cancel the order as I needed the item in the 5-7 days promised. I was told that etrailer.com would expedite the order, so I agreed to wait. I received the order at 8pm on May 7th,literally 3 WEEKS after ordering. I had to purchase from another vendor, and am stuck with this item. Never again will I order from etrailer.com.

This is the only way to fit my Thule crossbars and accessories onto my new Lexus GX460. The factory crossbars, although they are aero in shape, are narrow (narrower in back than the front), and they do not fit all standard roof rack accessories. The install was quick, intuitive, and easy. The rack is remarkably secure. The Inno lock housings are a little cheesy, but the locks are included with the towers. I suspect the locks are also interchangeable with Thule. A bungee wrap took care of the wind whistle.

I was using Yakima Bowdown Kayak racks on my OE roof racks. The shape of the OE cross rails just didn't work well with the racks, and they were always loose. Installed this roof rack on my 2017 Chevrolet Cruze Sedan and took it for an inaugural trip with my Ascend D10 Kayak to the Estero River. It worked perfectly, and was so much easier to load and tie down than using my wife's Traverse! After that I took it across Florida to Port Saint Lucie. No issues traveling at (or above) speed.
Inno's Tech writers do need to update the instructions because the width measurements were not accurate using either instruction provided. One shows measure from center to locking screw and the other shows measuring to interior of part. This also did not align with the part numbers on the measuring tape they provided which also not correct.
I started with the mounting points on the front of the vehicle and then used the 700mm gap from front to back to place the rear rack. I then centered both bars to fit the actual width of the vehicle.

I'm very happy with the purchase. I wasn't sure about spending this much money on something that might not work well. After using it, I'd gladly purchase again for a different car.
Fit well on my car, was very solid and secure. Did not do any damage to the paint on my roof.
Installation is pretty easy - be sure to watch the video and follow the instructions for measurements to set bases to. I could see it being a nightmare to install without those measurements.
The kit also comes with a tightening handle that has a built in torque setting. It's not shown in the video, but a good idea to use so you're sure everything is tightened properly.
Fuel economy suffers about 10-15% with the racks on - even empty. I take them off when I don't need them. I marked the bottom surface of the bars with a paint marker so I know where to put the bases when I put them back on. I also painted on the measurements from the door post so it's easier to reinstall.
Also, an item was missing from the box. etrailer customer service was fantastic about getting me a replacement part.

I have no worries that they can do the task for which I purchased them. The only downside is that the locking covers are not as well made as the racks and do not fit properly on my application. Basically they don't sit flush where they should. Only I would probably notice. I also purchased the matching wind fairing which looks great. Super versatile and nice looking. After a year, the rubber coating has been damaged in a few spots, but that's entirely understandable, as I have frequently used these bars to transport my 17 ft aluminum canoe. These square bars are sort of loud, and seem to affect the fuel mileage of my Prius by a little bit. I would probably buy the more aerodynamic ones if I had to buy them over again.

Hard to find ratchet strap with hook to fit areo bars.

It’s NOT good for a Toyota Camry. It put dents in the side rail (top of car) that it attaches to. The product it’s self works well and has held up outside of the foam tubing that protects your items from rubbing against the uprights.

I bought this for my 2016 Fiat 500X which has two glass sunroofs, and it fits perfectly! Follow the directions, put the bars where it says to, and your glass will be safe. You can't open the sunroof while this is in place, but hey, at least you can haul gear on your roof without breaking the glass.

Perfect fit for my Infiniti G37x. Installation was easy and the custom foot pads aligned perfectly with the roof contours of the Infiniti. These are of high quality. I was even impressed with the engineered packaging. They are shipped with a plastic adapter on each end that keeps the bars separate from one another during shipment to protect them from damage. The adapter also cleverly housed the end caps. I installed them on my kayak trailer to replace factory round bars that always had my kayak mounts slipping/rolling. The rectangular shape of these keeps my kayak mounts in place very nicely!

I followed directions and the rack went on without a hitch. The measuring tape provided was a bit confusing but my tape measure did just fine. It pays to watch for any movement of the stays as you tighten them. It fit perfectly. I was impressed with the quality of the unit. The torque wrench provided was a nice bonus. I attached a boat rack for my rowing shell and I’m confident it will be safe all the way to the water.

I've bought Yakima, Thule, Xport and Inno rack systems before - and they honestly all work the same. I prefer the Yakima and Thule kayak attachments (and blend the two brands to my taste), but for the basic rack system; why pay top dollar? I bought an Inno rack system for my last car and never installed it in the 4 years that I owned it. So when I bought my CR-V, I had a brand new rack that doesn't fit my car. Thanks to etrailer for carrying the fit kit for the CR-V at the lowest price I could find on the internet (not that low, but lower). Free shipping would have been nice - as most retailers offer it over $50... especially for something this small, but overall, they had something I needed, and I'm not disappointed in the speed of shipping, customer service, or the product. Awesome product. It has everything in it needed to mount to multiple different vehicles. From what I remember it was a little confusing to figure out which pieces I needed to use. To have specific instructions for every possible combination would be impossible. The instructions are vastly better than IKEA's instructions.
The only problem that I am having is that I need to move the rack to a different vehicle and I do not remember where I put the extra parts.

Had used Thule bars for years on multiple cars. Sadly found out Thule didn’t make a mount for my new Lexus GX. And I was about to throw in the towel, but found that the ”Inno” footing would work with my car and with my old Thule bars! They work great on my new car. We recently purchased 2 kayaks & Thule roof racks from our local outdoor store.
After waiting 2 weeks for our roof racks and J bars to come in we found that the Thule racks did not fit our 2017 Lincoln MKX and they didn't make any racks that would. The vehicle does not have roof racks and has a moon roof.
After a couple of days searching the internet we discovered etrailer.com. We found the Inno roof racks, but still was not sure they would work. We spoke to a repesenative and he assured us that the racks we chose would fit and the Thule J bars we did return would also work. As you can see by the photos 2 days later we were happy Kayakers.

I really love these roof racks. Easy to put on as long as you have a tape measure. I can put mine on in the spring and not have to worry about them coming loose with the torque wrench that was provided. If you are worried about getting the right ones, customer service is great and fast. I had lost the instructions so couldn’t remember the measurements to install, one quick email and I had the PDF copy.

Straightforward install and fits well on my 2006 Tundra DC. Not quite as good looking as Thule, but this is the only fit kit now available for first gen. Tundras. Using it to haul SUPs and kayaks. Seems solid and should do the job.

I have only had these on for a few days but all seems well. Very little extra noise although I can hear a bit when I'm going over 100 km/h but nothing too bad at all. Installation was extremely simple and straight forward. Took me all of 20 minutes and most of that was just making sure the cross bars were exactly parallel. These shipped to my house (just outside of Toronto) in around 4 days with no extra border fees which was fantastic. I only wanted these to strap a canoe onto the roof of my Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk so I didnt need anything too heavy duty or bulky and this fits the bill perfectly.

I bought this roof bar set for my Honda Accord sedan which isn't a car you nomally see roof bars on. I can say that these bars fit well and will outlast the car. For me the down side is the square box, less finished look which more expensive bars give. It's a trade off I can live with.

I've used these for my 96 Volvo 850 sedan for about a year now, they have held up well to all of my bike attachments, roof box, roof basket, misc things I strap up there like mattresses and ladders and stuff. Super strong! Fantastic alternative to over priced Thule cross bars, I use them on Thule towers and they fit perfectly! It turned a Swedish sedan into a weekend workhorse!

Very high quality. The metal has rubber "baked on". to protect your paint job. After a 3000-mile, I removed the rack, and there is NO sign that is was ever installed.

Initial installation was a little tricky; the front to back measurements provided was correct but the side to side spacing of the "feet" was off. Once the spacing issue was identified and corrected, everything went on very easily. Future removal/installation will be very quick.
There is no noticeable increase in wind noise.
Overall these feel very sturdy and well made.

Looked around for a while for a roof rack for my Acura ZDX. Finally found one and it fits pretty good considering the slope of the roof is very different from most cars. My only complaint would be the front aero bar is slightly rotated forward because of the shape of the roof and the place it needs to be in order to get the front and rear bar level to each other. But it is a rack system that could be used on multiple cars. Sun roof has room to open.

Everything about this kit met my expectations.
- Perfect fit for my Ford Edge, as advertised.
- Lowest bar height that was still high enough for the Edge Vista roof to clear. The glass does clear when nothing is attached to the bars.
- Aero bar shape. I haven't done a lot of miles yet with only the bars and no other attachments.
I attached an Inno roof box (which still fits through my garage door!) and did a 2000 mile road trip at insterstate speeds. Except the box noise (expected), and a bit of a mileage hit, I had no issues. Secure fit the whole way.

These are good. I was able to use them with my Thule460 podiums. They do come with end caps, but I do not like the end caps as much as Thule as the Inno are a soft rubber that fit over the bar instead of a hard plastic that snaps into the bar.
They are great for the price and seemed to be about the only ones I could find in this length.
I had a bit of an issue with the install, but this was due to inexperience and lack of clear instructions with the podiums I was using. I called etrailer customer service and was not thrilled with the support I received. Luckily, I was able to get an experienced friend to help me out.

I expected this kit to level out the mounting feet so that the front and back bars are in line. They did not do that. The feet stay at the angle perpendicular to the curve of the roof of my car so that the two bars are at an angle to each other. In spite of that it still seems to work. Installation wasn't too much of a hassle and the order arrived quicker than expected.

Fits perfect on 2016 Subaru Impreza - kind of wish the front units compensated for the slope of the roof (makes square bars tilt forward a few degrees.)

Product is great. Fits perfectly with some minor measurement adjustments. Can be assembled by one person, but helps to have two. Bought the complete roof kit and well as the Inno 80 basket for a Mazda CX3, took about two hours to assemble everything.

I was disappointed at how expensive these were considering its basically just 4 pieces of rubber. And even worse after paying nearly $100 for four chunks of rubber I had to pay an extra 3$ extra postage to receive the package. Of course 3 dollars isn't outrageous, but it was very annoying that they skimped on something as simple and easy as proper postage when i spent as much as I did on these.

Great product. I would give it 5 stars if it were easier to take on and off. It can't go through car washes, and there's a bit of measuring invoked to get it back on. That could and up being a hassle. Still from what I can see, it's the best product out there in it's price range.
