Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Taylor Made three foot long dock and post bumper, for a quantity of one. Now this bumper will protect your boat from being damaged by the dock or the dock post. And this can install on the dock horizontally or on the post vertically. Has a nice polyester cover on it, uses a closed-cell foam inner cushion, which is flexible enough to mount on curves or around corners.

It'll provide coverage wherever you need it and it will not deteriorate in the sun or mar your boat. Cleans very easily with soap and a brush. And if you notice on this bumper, there's these flexible tabs on each side. Allows for standard top of the dock mounting or the unique fold over mounting that'll conceal the top row of fasteners. The tabs do measure about one inch wide.I mentioned the two different ways of mounting and I do want to show you that now.

Let me zoom in here. I'm going to pull out a two by four, and we'll use this as being the side of your dock, like the fascia board on your dock. And the first one we mentioned is the top of the dock method. What that is, is you just position this bumper with the rounded cushion facing upward. Here's your cushion facing upward, and the seam between the tab and the cushion at the corner edge of the fascia and the top of the dock.

And then you just install your fasteners, just like that through the bumper onto the fascia. And then what you do is fold this cushion down with those fasteners installed. And with it folded down and against the board, rounded portion facing the boat, then you put your fasteners in the bottom right along here. And the benefits of doing it this way, the top of the dock method, is you'll get greater downward tear strength, and you'll get more protection for the top and corner of the dock for a greatly sloped boat hulls.The other way we're going to show you is the fold over method. What that is, is that your way you'll position this bumper, like this, up against the fascia board upside down with the rounded cushion facing away from the boating surface and resting flush on the top of the dock, just like that.

And then you'll install the fasteners just like that. And then what you end up doing after you get those fasteners, then you just fold this cushion down over the tab so that the rounded portion faces the boating surface. And then you'll install your fasteners on that bottom tab into the fascia board. So basically what happened is you fold this over and it's flush up at the top.The benefits of the fold over method is the top fasteners, of course, aren't exposed so they won't damage the boat. And then there's no fasteners or a bumper on top of the dock to trip on, and the bumper's even with the top of the dock for full protection. So those are the two different ways you want to install this. This is a single bumper design. Offers standard protection. Measures three foot long. Width on it is about three and three quarter inches wide. Inner foam piece measures about one and three quarter inches in diameter.
