Worked great on our Subaru Crosstrek with factory crossbars. Loading very easy, and it was very secure, for our 2 kayaks. The Yakima Big Sticks are easy to install/setup and take off. Very happy with our investment,
Never used them but would if I had too. (Use the ones with a rubber 'hose' type end) Felt they would have worked fine for my needs

This anchor fits under your hood or hatch and helps secure a kayak or other long load to your vehicle's roof when paired with a tie-down strap (sold separately). Great for vehicles without built-in tie-down points. 496 lbs Maximum load capacity.This works great you just really have to make sure the rack is on there very tight to where you can't pull it off with your hands. Also you have to strap it down so that it does not make the bars flex or they will loosen and cause problems.
Haven't installed yet, but the anchor straps look very sturdy and as advertised.

Installation was relatively simple with an assistant and the video by Rhino Rack was
a valuable tool...once on my car, the system proved to be safe, secure and as
sturdy as I could hope for.
I would certainly recommend Rhino Rack systems in future, and will certainly rely

Highly Recommended. This was part of a complete solution including Aero Bars and DK Fit Kit for my Toyota Avalon. I was VERY impressed with the overall fit and sturdiness of the Rhino Rack Solution. The rack and installation is VERY well thought out. Also, the wind noise at 70 MPH is small.
These work great for securing the front and back of my kayaks. I don't have to get up under my car any more and the straps aren't rubbing against my paint anymore. I looped the front one under the bug shield on my truck and it worked perfectly. And they stay secure.
Great product, but you have to be careful where you position it under the hood. The first time it slipped up the hood and the tie down loosened up. You need to check that it cannot slip out of position.

I haven't actually used this yet but it is a genius solution to a simple problem - where to tie a boat on the front of a car. We travelled cross country through the windy prairies with two boats on top of a Forester and they were blowing all over the place. These ties (which appear to be very well made) would have saved us several stops and lots of worries. I am confident that they will perform admirably when put into service.
I love these for securing the stern of my kayak on our Yukon. No damage to the vehicle, very secure!

This was a gem. I mounted it on the opposite side of the car that the kayak was sitting to anchor it against wind. Highly recommend if you're vehicle is short on anchoring points.
This is an excellent product. I use it for long trips and it's extremely easy to install and fits in right under the hood of my Ford Expedition.

This is a well thought out product; well made and potentially quite helpful. My car, a VWGTi, unfortunaltely doesn't have a good place for it to fit so I can't comment beyond that.
