I put these on a 2019 Raptor. My raptor would sag so much when a trailer was on it, but after putting these on it totally fixed my problem and allowed me to pull heavy loads again. Very easy to install.
Excellent addition to the truck. It did exactly what I wanted it to do, stiffen the springs so that I don't have so much squat with a trailer, as well as help to keep contact with the road by eliminating wheel bounce. I really appreciate the ride when I'm not pulling a trailer. I was worried it'd be too stiff, but no worries. One other thing, it lifted the rear of the truck up slightly so that it rides more level. I love it!
Night and day difference on our 2011 F150. Before installing the vehicle was almost undrivable at highway speeds due to bouncing/jerking when pulling our trailer. The bounce/jerk has been virtually eliminated since installing the Active Suspension. Installation was a breeze, hardest part was getting the wheels off the truck due to corrosion between the wheel and the rotors. Total install time was roughly 1hr 15 minutes including the stubborn wheels. Initially I was hesitant to order due to the price, but very happy with the results, etrailer also did a great job at guiding me through the process, shipping and answering a few technical questions along the way. Highly recommend if you need a little more spring/payload.
After installation (approx. 1 hour) the initial ride once installed was a surprise - the ride was improved immediately. smooth, cornering, handling bumps, slight increase in rear ride height, but my favorite one was helping level out once connected to my camper which is what prompted the purchase. ENJOY
only drove twice so far. already feel great control of the rear end. much increase of positive traction, with very little drop. extremely easy installation! perfect step by step(with pics) instructions included. also easy to follow video, somewhere. I cant remember where I watched. not hooking up trailer till next weekend, after alignment. maybe I'll be back. overall the "active" concept in this product is exactly what an intermittent hauler wants. there is no feel of preload on leafs when not loaded. the product creates much better roll stability.

Purchased the RAS system to help with some bounce I was encountering when towing my 7500# Airstream, especially on older segmented concrete highways.
The installation is pretty simple with a floor jack and a couple of jack stands. The instructions are easy to follow.
With the RAS set up in the lower range of it’s tension, the problem has disappeared — any oscillation is dampened within a cycle.

This rating is not a reflection of the Road Master product, but of the package I received from etrailer. I’ll start with the one positive, the package arrived very quickly. I ordered it yesterday and it arrived today.
Missing directions. RoadMaster touts the clear easy to read directions as a product feature. I can download directions from etrailer. Now I get the pleasure of wincing at my phone and trying to zoom and scroll with gloves on.
Missing 2 spacing disks required to set the spring gap. So I guess I’ll guestimate… These are directly referenced on the etrailer website as included, stated as included in the directions, and on the pictures.
Missing sticker labels. I did receive a random sticker not related to this item but I didn’t receive Roadmaster labels. While this may seem like a minor complaint it shouldn’t be underestimated. The labels need to be applied because there is no noticeable branding on the product. What that means is that a mechanic who works on the truck in the future will not have a reference to be able to look-up. It would also be a nice courtesy for any future owner of the truck.
Missing warranty card. A selling point for this product is the 5 year warranty. Call me old fashioned but I would like to have the paper. With products like these there are also usually directions for registering it for any future warranty claims.
I was expecting a nicely packaged product and was sadly disappointed. The packaging was exceptionally poor. The pieces could have been at least wrapped in paper so they wouldn’t chip the paint against each other and guard against what inevitably occurred with the box giving out. These were just dropped in the box and shipped with no protection.

I have been using Roadmaster Active Suspension for a year now. The product works as advertised and has greatly improved the stability of my F-150 pulling a 7500 travel trailer.
Chris - 10/21/2018Initial install was very easy. They went on exactly as the instructions said. Less than 30 minutes from start to finish. Just a note: on their strongest setting they raised the rear of my truck 1.5 inches. I have not had hauled a load or pulled a heavy trailer with them on yet. I will give a follow up review after several trials with them.
Package arrived within 2 days after I ordered late in the evening. Well packaged, I have checked both the instructions and a couple of U-tube videos which show how easy they are to install. I will update upon completing the install, and had a chance to hook up our trailer.
Terry - 09/07/2021I originally bought the product to try and bring my 2013 Chevrolet 2500 back to stock height. It has a surveyor pack tool system and tools weighting just over 1000 lbs, since the day it was new. The product did the job. The part that was a great surprise was sway control with all that weight. 6 months later I retired, sold the tool box system, but left the product on the truck because we also pull our 28 ft. travel trailer (10,000 lb) with the truck. Don’t need the lift because of the weight distribution system with anti-sway, but the truck is much more stable on the interstate than it used to be. With no load I really don’t notice the ride is any worse when hitting a bump. I love it!
I purchased this kit because I was hauling 1000-1200#s of livestock in the bed of my TitanXd. The kit greatly reduced the swaying side to side from the animals shifting around. I also noticed less bouncing fromy single axle trailer. Overall rode quality was improved and I would purchase again.
RAS is an excellent product that greatly reduced the rearend sag and sway that my 38 ft travel trailer was prone to produce. My Ford E350 V10 powered passenger van now tow my trailer like a dream.
Amazing product does exactly what it's made to do.
Mitchell - 08/30/2022Repeat customer. Just installed my second set of Roadmaster Active Suspension springs. Have not towed with them yet; however the ride on my 2014 F150 6.5' bed pickup is noticably smoother. I expect the result when I do tow my travel trailer to be the same as with my previous truck - night and day difference (no more "white knuckle towing)!
Good installation instructions. Product raised my 1996 Ford E350 back to stock height which I wanted. Handles washboard roads better. I am satisfied.
This product is awesome, even the ride without a load was better. Great, I suggest this to anyone.

The Product was easy to put on. I had a lot of trouble getting my back tires off. The instructions were okay, I got confused a couple of times. The video on youtube is great. I used that several times.
No issues, and it does the job. Next time I’ll get the HD version though
Very simple, straightforward install on my 2019 Raptor. Lifted rear 2”, allowing travel trailer to sit level to truck. Hoping long term results are just as impressive. Thank you.
Easy install and very happy with the product as I pulled a 3,000 horse trailer after install and had very little sag on the 40% setting. I would add that it raised my Raptor about two inches in the back because the weight of the truck no longer sags it at least on the 40% setting.
Great customer service! All throughout the order, I was notified up-to-date info on the status. And the product was just what I had ordered. This company reminds me of that MEGA online company with how they processed the total order. Keep up the good work!

Easy to install and use.About a 1/2 inch difference in gap at the bump stop perch but still within parameters. Truck sits perfect with trailer attached. Haven’t towed yet. After towing if they perform like they should will upgrade to a 5 star. Easy to install, definitely needed 2x4 and jack. 2011 Silverado ext cab with 30 ft Genisis 5th wheel.
Makes my truck feel better while towing a 5th wheel camper, especially over expansion joints of the expressway.
I haven’t hooked up to the fifth wheel yet or else it might be a 5 star. Based on the 15 minute installation time and the price compared to air bags this appears to be a logical way to go. I will update this as I hook up and put a load on it.
I will say they are perfect for towing but when your not towing cause they are so close to the bottom it feels stiffer when not towing! They should make long enough so that it touches besides that these are perfect
We prefer it over airbags. No hassle adding air etc. Great under our 3/4 ton pickup with our Artic Fox camper!

Mike M - 08/27/2022After a year on the road, and a few thousand miles of towing our 5th wheel, the Timbren bump-stops work great. Had air bags that required tinkering and always needed to adjust the pressures. No adjustments needed with Timbren.
Pros: Easy to install, no adjustments, adds stability while towing heavy loads.
Cons: Unloaded, makes driving over seriously large bumps a bit rough with only about an inch or so of factory suspension travel.
I’d seen similar products rated in the 4,000 lb ratings but I went with these. I’m not a mechanic but I removed the factory bump stops and installed both these in 30 minutes or less. I used my rolling jack and lifted from the drop hitch and easily removed the old ones and soapy water and 1/4 twist and these were on. Placed a block of wood in the space between these coils and lowered the jacks then pressed it with my tractor to confirm full engagement. I carry a lot of tools on a 2020 Chevy 2500 I do feel a bit of butt bounce on large bumps but other than that I’m very pleased.
I had bought these timbrens and the weight safe hitch with the 8” drop from etrailer. I was quite please by both products. Installation of the timbrens was very easy, only took 30-40 minutes to change out bump stops in my garage.I hauled a Uhaul trailer with a Jeep over 300 miles, with no issues. The timbrens worked great, no issues with the rife. And I really like the weight safe hitch. I recommend checking out these two products from etrailer. Thanks etrailer.
David G - 05/17/2020What I think is that it seems like most of the installers and reviewers of this item aren't using the sense God gave a gnat. This has to be the easiest install ever. It took me 15 minutes to do the entire job including removing the old stops and installing these Timbrens. Had a friend use a floor jack under my hitch, raised it up, i pried out the old stops and inserted the new ones, let it down on a piece of 2x4 and DONE! No removing tires, no removing heat shield, no nothing. 2 screwdrivers and a piece of wood.
Received my springs today and had them installed in less then 45 minutes in my driveway, on my 2018 GMC Denali 3500 HD. I followed the advice of etrailer's videos. I pull a 2011 all aluminum self contained toy hauler and use Husky weight distribution hitch. I have not yet taken our trip to AZ from WI yet but will provide further input when we do over the 4th of July. I used a floor jack on the frame rails to provide clearance for installation and did not take the rear wheels off...worked in the wheel wells to remove and install.
Product does not help rear swag with fifth wheel camper but a half inch. On brand new truck as well. Not happy with product. Called to return them and want me to pay 27.00 shipping and stated in email that was sent to me I couldn’t return if installed. I’m not understanding this ? Do not buy ! I won’t be doing any more business with etrailer . Not helpful at all
Jenny N - 03/31/2022Awesome customer service and follow up. Easy installation. Pry bar, couple of 2x4 wood blocks, floor jack and a little WD40. Weight of the truck seats the new bumpers in and you're good to go. Literally took me 20 minutes to remove and install. Can't wait to tow our 5th wheel.

Easy install. Very stable ride for my one ton Chevy. I feel safer now hauling the 44’ fifth wheel. Excellent product.
These have been a great add to my truck for towing. I have a travel trailer and own a business where I use my truck for pulling. The bumps in the road feel much better with these on the rear axel. When compared to stock you will be shocked. Very easy to install and worth every penny.
My order for timbrens was received very quickly.Installation took 45 minutes.It took longer to get my spare tire out of the way.Install was much easier than air bags for sure.I replaced my ride Rite air bags with the Timbrens.Air Bags always loosing 3 to 4 lbs air a week.I had no onboard compressor.Timbrens were better for me.
Installed easily with a few blocks of wood and a pry bar.
I'm pleased with the results of the test run with cargo trailer. Next will be the 5th wheel.
This is the second set of Timbrens that I have purchased from etrailer and as always they work perfectly with my trailer and Bulldog ATV rack. The shipping is fast, prices are very good, and customer service is great.
This rating of 4 stars is because I have not put a load on my truck to test the drive loaded. I have driven it unloaded. The unloaded ride is the same as original. Installation was easy, I looked at the etailer video perfect procedure. It took 30 minutes tops. Fit perfect, easy installation, speedy delivery.
Richard - 10/25/2018I have a 3500HD Silverado and pull a GD Solitude 5th wheel about 17k lbs. The installation was easy for this 65 year old and went well. Truck front and back fender wells measure 40in. from top of well to ground with 5th wheel connected. Rear fender well was 42in. unloaded. During our first trip after installation the ride feels smoother when on roller coaster highway.
The installation video's on this site and other YouTube channels were very helpful for the installation. Definitely glad I did the install myself.
The set of timbres has worked out great for the rear of my chevy 2500,getting the extra weight off my springs and onto the axle.
Easy install....took about 45 minutes including the time to find what I needed to install, and put the tools away....will be putting the trailer on soon can't wait to try these out...
Samuel - 08/18/2022Went on fairly easy, jacked the rear of truck up pulled out old bump stops,soapy water on new ones positioned them and with the help of two short pieces of 2×4s under each side lowered the truck, they slid right in place. Very easy. Won't be hooking up to 5th wheel for a couple of months, looking forward on how they work on truck squat. Might follow up then and give another star.
