Gives me enough clearance to put a plate on utility trailer
Good product. I was able to use it to attach my motorcycle-size plate to the full-size placeholder on the back of my trailer. Because of the placement of the holes on the plate and this item, I had to attach it slightly off center - I used the outside hole on the left and the inside (longer) hole on the right. But it fits, and is secure, and that's the main thing I needed to achieve. The only product of its kind I could find and I knew that etrailer would support me all the way with info, the best pricing, and outstanding service. I was not disappointed. Will buy from them again.

my front bumper is curved and this fit perfectly. just needed to find 2 bolts and nuts that would fit and i had them readily available. sturdy too. what more could i ask for.....oh.....delivery.....prompt!!!

The product was great, Exactly what I wanted, or needed for sure. I'd suggest that since this being the first time I placed a license plate bracket on my car, that an additional installation hint be noted on the directions. My suggestion would be for front installation to a vehicle. I would note that the bracket should not only be centered in the front of the vehicle, but as well centered in the front of the bumper. This way it would not be placed too high or too low on the front bumper itself. As well, not too many drilled holes would not be present, (as in my case).
I had purchased one these backer plates before which has damaged in an accident. I found another backer plate on the internet and when I received it I didn't bother even trying it on the car. I finally found the product offered by "etrailer" and ordered two. Not only is this a vastly superior product, it's less expensive and the customer service by etrailer.com is exceptional. I highly this company and this particular product.

it was just what I needed, it held my front plate that I had on all my cars for years, but this one didn,t have a bracket, so thanks it does now, jim

Bought to mount my license plate on my trailer. Works just as I would expect it to.
I wanted something I could put a plate on the front of our new Chevy Trax without drilling the bumper. I used some pipe insulating foam to make the bumper evened out and used wire ties to hold it in place . This really worked well and the product arrived promptly and undamaged .
