I installed these on a 2004 Ram 2500. I have towed an 11k fifth wheel approximately 10,000 miles with them and couldn’t be happier. The hardest part was figuring out where to put the airlines. I decided to run them through the existing frame holes and drill out the top license plate screws to give them a stealthy look with easy access to fill. Install didn’t take more than 2 hours with air tools.

Installed thes a year ago. I use them to pull my 35 foot fifth wheel camper. They are fantastic I recently added the wireless remote air compressor kit. I really love that!

This is my second truck I've installed the airlift system on. The installation went smooth, just like before; after watching the installation video it took maybe a couple hours. I had them aired up and hitched the truck to the fifth wheel, and it made a big difference with leveling the hitch load. I'm very pleased with them.

Air Lift Loadmaster kit was fairly easy to install and definitely made a difference! It did take roughly 4-5 hours by myself but that includes prep, ABS and emergency brake relocation, Schrader valve installation and leak check. My only advice would be to give tech tips like a 10mm deepwell socket to remove the jounce bumper on late model Chevrolets/GMC's. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure that one out alone! So far I'm really impressed with the outcome! Thanks!

I received these Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 springs just a few days after ordering and all parts were in the box. The instructions were good but the etrailer videos were even better, especially regarding the two bolts being installed on the bottom plate. The instructions were lacking there. I particularly liked the videos of the 2012 pewter colored F 150 and the 2013 silver F 150. Both were 4x4's like my 2014 and had the same suspension.( 2009-2014 are the same). I chose to use two air valves (instead of a T) and placed them on each side of the license plate to distinguish right side from left side and compensate for any potential uneven loads. I have a 34 gallon gas tank mounted on the left side of the frame, so that's a lot of weight when full. One of the videos demonstrates grinding an OE fastener bolt near the axle to gain clearance. We just backed off the bracket then refastened after the install. We thought about running the air lines through rubber hoses for extra protection but we didn't do it this time. I see the premium kits you sell use a braided air line. Nice option but mine was the basic 5000. I was concerned that when the truck is on a hoist lifted under the frame, not the wheels, that the air bags would droop too much with the weight of the axle and perhaps get damaged, but we tried it after airing up the bags, and all seems okay. To remedy that one could always use wheel supported hoists that you drive onto or support the axle with axle jacks. Maybe good to always keep some air in the bags too. I did note that the rear of the truck will rise when air is added in an empty or unloaded truck. About an inch with 20# psi and more lift with more air. Since I have a front level of 1.5 inches over the front struts a little lift in the rear is fine and actually cuts the wind a bit better on the highway. With 20# of PSI empty load the ride is just a bit stiffer or jouncier but I like it. I'm sure there will be less sway with a load. I've yet to pull a trailer or add much weight to the bed but I will at some point and I like the idea I will always have a level stance with air adjustments. I don't like it when a truck points up to the stars! I've been buying from etrailer for many years now and am always happy with the products and service. I like the price match feature and the installation videos are great! Thanks! Happy trails everyone!

The installation went smoothly. The only modification I have to make was in the upper mounting bracket. As seen in the photo, I had to relieve the inner edge to clear a motor mount bolt. This did not affect the integrity of the bracket. Had to remove the rubber jounce block on each side, this was not so easy as this is a 1994 Pace Arrow, so the bolts had been rusting for 28 years!! I am checking not for a small air leak but looks like this installation will be successful.

Purchased the kit to aid in leveling F150 with 3.5 ton trailer. Have a sway bar kit, but needed a little help getting it level. Other options (springs, etc.) were more costly. Kit well packaged, instructions straight forward. Installation was a leisurely 4 hours. Go to have a second set of hands if you can get help. Run T 5 psi around town and 18-22 psi with trailer connected. HUGE improvement for overall performance in handling.
Really good fix for trailer sag.

my air lift is missing some parts because my 06 Dodge Ram 3500 doesn’t have a jounce bumper strike plate attached to the axe mine needs something like u bolts and when I purchased the air lift it’s said that it would feet my pick up
Review from a similar LoadLifter 5000 in Vehicle Suspension
Air Lift air springs are good and dependable, use them for the last 25 years on three pick-ups always worked great. My complaint would be against the lousy packaging which came with two or three holes and all messed up, luckily all that was missing was one washer.

Install was not bad at all, just took some time. I use this to adjust my fifth wheel, and tractor trailer. I’m able to get a good amount of tongue weight, then inflate to send some weight to the front of my truck. Everything pulls much better than before. I preferred the manual air over the automatic. My buddy has the automatic, because they are tied together, when he parks on a grade it causes one side to squat pretty bad. If you are considering this, I’d recommend going ahead and doing it.

First, looking at the website was pretty easy to navigate. Ordered product and confirmed delivery email sent that evening. Received two days later. Box a little damaged, but that was on FEDEX. However everything inside in tact and instructions were simple to follow.
The product, I wish I would have gotten these years ago. Makes the unloaded ride much better and not so “horse bucking” that I was used to. I usually loaded the back with 150 lbs of sand. No longer, rides smooth. Haven’t had a loaded test yet but looking forward to it.

Awesome, arrived on time, very straight forward to install with step by step instructions. I have a 20' enclosed trailer that I converted to a mini toy hauler (very heavy). These air bags work like a champ. I just add 20 lbs of air to them and it brings my pick up back to level. Highly recommend these air bags.

Quick shipping and great customer service. Install went very well and has helped reduce the rear sag on our 01 F350 dually. We have a +3200lb Palomino truck camper in the bed. My next project will be replacing stock sway bars with heavier duty sway bars.

I have a 2019 Nissan Titan XD with the 5.6 GAS motor. Wanted to do an Airlift suspension to provide a little support and get my headlights perfectly back to level when towing my travel trailer. No one makes an airbag kit for the gas XD, but after discussing it some with John H at etrailer, I decided to go with the kit for the diesel truck and see how things went.
The kit for the diesel truck fit perfectly, except that there is an emissions component hung from a bracket on the driver's sign frame that prevents a direct install of the driver's side bag. My shop was able to install the kit with no trouble - they just had to bend the bracket with the small emissions component attached upwards for clearance. Everything else went in as designed. Great fit - can't wait to see it work under load.

Installed on a 2017 F-150 to alleviate sag pulling a 25' Airstream with 700+ lbs tongue weight. Installation was pretty straight forward thanks to good directions and videos by e-trailer. Made a huge difference while towing (80-90 psi in bags) and hardly noticeable when not (5 -10 psi). Would definitely purchase again and highly recommend e-trailer.

Exactly what we needed, was originally going to install Air Lift 1000 HD helpers for coil springs. But, those items were on backorder at the factory and that was more of a make do solution. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 was in stock, Nicole at etrailer arranged the cancelation of the original order, and had the 5000s shipped. Installation as per the instructions was a breeze, had all the necessary tools until it came time to reinstalling the truck's coil springs. ATTENTION to all, once the LoadLifter 5000 air bags are installed, the axle on a RAM 1500 Classic doesn't drop as far, short by about 2 inches! Luckily, the local store loans tools, with the aid of a coil spring compressor, the coil springs were reinstalled in a few minutes.
Since the trailer electrical connections are on the drivers side of the license plate, I located both schrader valves on the drivers side of the license plate. Note the position of the heat shield on the passenger side.

I installed these air lift bags in a day. It was a lot longer than I thought, but it was in the middle of winter in an unheated shop and only basic hand tools. No hoist, so there were a lot of up and down trips with a creeper. Very good installation manual which made the process easy. Very happy with the purchase.

We love etrailer.com excellent customer service and fast shipping. Chris W thank you so much for taking care of our order so quick!!! We are working so hard on getting everything installed before we get our new 5th wheel!!! Your Amazing!!

Awesome addition to my truck. First picture shows how much the truck was squatted, the second is after installation and is now level. Ride and drive are so much better. I installed myself with no special tools. Took about 2 hours. Instructions and videos on web site were a big help! Thanks etrailer!

This easily installed on my 2015 GMC Sierra about two, maybe three hours including jacking up and removing from the jack stands.
Purchased this product because I purchased a slide-in camper and wanted the additional support/suspension.
Works exactly as described, cannot find any complaints.

So far I haven't not had any issues with the air bags. I would recommend on the air compressor kits with the self leveling feature though.

Overall the install went well. I had to cold bend the upper brackets to fit properly. The upper bracket has an oval cut out to receive the top of the airbag. A nylon nut and serrated washer is used to connect the airbag to the upper bracket. I didn't like the fact that that connection could slide back and forth in the oval. So I cut a piece of plate to fit in the oval and welded it. Then I set both upper and lower brackets in place figured out the layout and drilled around hole to receive the upper nipple of the airbag. Rock solid set up that way. The truck is in the process of receiving an aluminum flatbed.

great company to work with, they sent me a new air bag when mine had a leak and the shipping was fast. the install was a little difficult, had to drill holes in the frame. i have the silverado 1500 classic 07 so most aftermarket parts need some modifications anyways. i’m now able to haul comfortably without “trailer squat”

The air lift worked as it should. But there was a failure in one of the fittings where it attached to the air bag on top. I had to go back to my installer and have the fitting replaced. Another thing I’ve noticed is that you need to check the pressure from time to time because there is some slow bleed off that happens. When set at the right pressure and I’m towing the work fine. Probably should have bought the Firestone’s and spent the extra money. I’ve spent that much now with the repair. I do appreciate the checking back with me to see how things have gone with my purchase.

Product was as advertised, and the install went smoothly. Toyota Tacomas are infamous for sagging rear ends, and these air springs handle that well. For now I can only comment on installation, as I've yet to load the truck with a heavy trailer. All parts can be mounted comfortably by jacking up the rear axle and removing a wheel. I didn't have any alignment troubles, and the instructions were specific to these parts and my truck. Buyers should be aware that air springs require regular checks to make sure they are inflated to a minimum pressure. I can easily reach in and squeeze the spring to check inflation, and it's faster than pulling out a pressure gage.

I installed the airlift support this afternoon. I had removed Timbren
Shocks which are just hard rubber shocks that mount to the factory spring
bumper support. The airlift required drilling out the rivets and removing
this OEM support.
Here are pictures of the left and right units installed on my truck. I
already have an Air Lift pump and rear bags on the rear of my truck.
When I put my plow on then I will see how well these perform and any sag or
how much lift. I have a 7"-6" Western Pro Plow for my 1987 GMC V-2500 4x4.
As a note, I was missing hardware from that hardware package. I had to look
through my own stock in order to complete the install. If it is at all
possible, I would be most appreciative if you could get AirLift to provide a
hardware package that was complete.
I also install the mirrors on my GMC. I have my 102" wide 20 foot cargo
trailer connected to my truck and will be using that in a few days. I am
hoping they will give me a better rear vision of the sides of my trailer.
When I get it on the road, I will have a better idea on what to comment.
When I do, I will send pictures. I don't plan on keeping them on the truck
all the time, just when I used the cargo trailer.

The AirLift system we talked about a couple weeks ago was sent to my daughter, Kristi's house. I installed it yesterday. I'm on the road, which isn't the best place to do the installation. My father in law didn't have any socket wrenches so I started with a couple 9/16 open end wrenches. These don't work for everything. I went to the local hardware store and bought what I needed. The driver side went on much easier. The hardest bolt was the top one requiring the socket wrench to hold the nut inside the frame. I had to feel for the nut since it was hidden next to an existing frame bolt. I was able to simply jack the back of the truck up at the hitch to gain clearance. I didn't have to remove the wheels. The nylon lock nut was fun to tighten. AirLift should have supplied a simple wrench for this. I found a vice grip needle nose plier worked well enough.
Here are three photos. First is passenger side, second tries to show where top nut goes, third is drivers side. I have then filled to 28psi and will check them this morning.

I installed these on my 2021 Tacoma. They lasted less than one month. In addition to the horrid ride at a very low pressure, they no longer held air once I really needed the lift. I found that both bags were torn. There was not enough room between the frame and top of the leaf springs to keep them from getting smashed when hitting bumps. Bummer!
Review from a similar Ride Control in Vehicle Suspension
Install these on my 2015 Chevy Colorado. I pull a fairly big travel trailer and although it's no problem pulling it I had noticed that over the last couple of years the rear of the truck was gradually sagging more. The AirLift fixed it right up.
The ride now inspires more confidence and I definitely have more control over the whole rig.
Installation was fairly easy. I'm pretty handy but quite green when it comes to vehicles so I would say it's accessible to anyone with a handy thumb. I even managed to install them without removing the wheels. It took a bit longer and required more up and down with the car jack but since I did it a couple of hours at a time over a couple of days it allowed me to still drive during the installation process.
I'm am a huge fan and would recommend it to anyone.
Review from a similar Ride Control in Vehicle Suspension
Install was simple. Took me 2 1/2 hours by myself, plus my buddy 1 hour to weld on a nice bracket for the air valves on the back bumper (see pics). Instructions were confusing and nomenclature did not match parts, but I eventually got it figured out. There are also two spots in the instructions that tell you not to tighten certain nuts down so that you can adjust the bags later, but it never tells you when or how to tighten them later.
I recommend you jack up the rear axle and remove the rear tires so you have plenty of room to move around and install this.
System looks really nice on the pickup, and you can hardly tell there's anything on there unless you are looking closely. Even while almost empty, the bags push the rear of the pickup up a little bit which looks cool. And it seems to ride smoother now too. I have not tried it with pulling cargo or a trailer yet, and will update this review if I don't notice anything good.

I found needs to be extremely helpful. I have a 1997 Econoline 150 Ford van. It was a conversion van so lots of extra weight. The back leaf springs were obviously struggling as it rode low without a trailer or any significant load. After installing the air springs, and charging them 1/3 of capacity Or 35 PSI, the ride drastically improved. Shortly after installing them I pulled a 24 foot trailer with a medium load on it, and it drastically improved the ride compared to pulling a trailer previously. Highly recommended and cheaper than new high-quality leaf springs.

I purchased and installed this kit on my 2008 Hummer H3 Alpha to assist the rear springs for towing my heavy jet ski trailer, and it preformed flawlessly. Straightforward install, great quality product, and the bags are holding up really well to the abuse I've put them through. I definitely recommend this kit to anyone considering purchasing it for their rig.

Product arrived in just a couple of days and was very easy to install. Only took an hour. When I filled the system with air I found a leak on the bag itself. Called Rebecca at etrailer and she gave me the number to air lift and she would check with me in a couple of days. I called airlift and had a new bag in two days. Rebecca did email me and ask if everything was ok. Hooked the camper up and tried it out and man did it work great. This was a great buying experience and will soon purchase the on board air compressor from etrailer

I'm very pleased with these airbags. Saved $100 versus the competition. The kit is specific to the model and year of my truck and fit perfectly. I'm 66, handy with a wrench, but not a mechanic. I completed the installation by myself in a couple of hours without a lift. The instructions are clear but I found it helpful to also watch the u-tube video as I went through the steps. (Better pictures) My F-150 has plenty of power but soft suspension which makes for a comfortable ride when empty but sat down low with a heavy trailer. I can pump up the airbags and level out the load. I made several trips with a 20' deckover trailer carrying 10,000 pounds of produce and had no problems. I'm wishing I had also purchased and installed the built-in air compressor. I will probably add it later. I air up at the farm before adding a load and I carry a twenty dollar 12 volt compressor in the tool box just in case I have an unexpected load. This doesn't add to the hauling capacity of my truck but it keeps my headlights on the road and not in the trees.

Easy install on my 2018 Tacoma. I have a snug top shell, and haul a small boat and a trailer. These really helped level out the rear when pulling. No more bottoming out the leaf springs. I am running about 20 psi unloaded and it has smoothed out the ride. Happy with the purchase.

The package arrived, torn open. It was also obvious the box had been previously opened and then re-taped closed improperly. The contents of the box were loose with no internal packing with the items inside crashing into each other. Gratefully the contents so far appear undamaged. The damage to the box could be the responsibility of USPS but the fact that the box was not packed correct is on the vendor. I cannot recommend this company based on the way they shipped the package.
